Bakgrund: I Sverige finns det en könsskillnad som visar att flickor mår sämre och har en mer negativ självvärdering jämfört med pojkar. Självbilden är en stark bidragande orsak till barns psykiska hälsa och det finns ett samband mellan barns självbild och attityd till beröring. Metod: Tre enkäter: Jag Tycker Jag Är (JTJÄ), Ben Sira psychological distress (Bspd) och egenformulerade frågor om taktil massage (TM) samlades in bland 93 elever i årskurs sju från en mindre inlandsstad i södra Sverige. Svaren analyserades med oberoende t-test och Pearsons korrelationstest i SPSS 2.0.0. Resultat: Resultatet av ett oberoendet-test visade att det fanns en tendens till könsskillnad i en aspekt avsjälvvärdering (JTJÄ).

SammanfattningSyfte och frågeställningarSyftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka genom ett test-retest, reliabiliteten hos fem stycken specifika fys- och styrketester för de muskelgrupper, som är mest utsatta i en ambulanssjukvårdares arbete.- Är det en god reliabilitet i ett bellybacktest utan motstånd?- Är det en god reliabilitet i ett balanstest?- Är det en god reliabilitet i ett handstyrketest?- Är det en god reliabilitet i ett aerobiskt steptest?- Är det en god reliabilitet i ett marklyft i dragmaskin?MetodEtt test och retest utfördes på fem tester, bellybacktest utan motstånd, handstyrketest, aerobiskt steptest, marklyft i drargmaskin och balanstest. Försökspersonerna var 14 stycken, 11 män och 3 kvinnor, samtliga var studenter vid GIH i Stockholm.ResultatVarken bellybacktestet utan motstånd, handstyrketestet (höger samt vänster hand), aerobiska steptestet eller marklyftet i dragmaskinen visar några slumpmässiga eller systematiska statistisk signifikanta skillnader. Balanstestet däremot har bra värden på t-testet (p=0,89), som visar att det inte finns några systematiska signifikanta skillnader, men låga värden på övriga uträkningar som visar på de slumpmässiga skillnaderna.SlutsatsSamtliga tester med undantag från balanstestet har hög reliabilitet. Balanstestet visar mindre tillförlitlighet än de övriga fyra testerna, vilket även tidigare forskning visar.

Android-applikationers användargränssnitt kan se annorlunda ut på olika Android-enheteroch det är svårt att anpassa en applikation efter alla enheter då det finns så många unikamodeller. Målet med arbetet var att framställa ett verktyg som kunde med hjälp av ett korrektdefinierat gränssnitt, upptäcka skillnader i gränssnittet mellan olika Android-enheter.Ett egenutvecklat verktyg framställdes och hade en hög precision. Det här är en studie i om bilder i dataspel kan förändra uppfattningen om antalet ljudsekvenser som spelas upp. Faktorerna som har ändrats i varje test är förhållandena mellan antalet ljudsekvenser och antalet bildobjekt som presenteras. Flera olika ljud skapades till undersökningen, som skiljde sig i karaktär i syfte av att ge mer nyanserade resultat. 20 personer gjorde test där de fick lyssna på ljud med och utan koppling till bilder. De blev sedan tillfrågade hur många ljudkällor de kunde höra.

AimThe aim of this study was to develop and perform a reliability test of a questionnaire regarding side dominance in order to identify the dominant/non-dominant side in students at the Swedish alpine ski high school.MethodA questionnaire of side dominance of the upper and lower extremity was developed, and its reliability was tested according to the test-retest design. A total of 121 subjects answered the questionnaire twice. The questionnaire included five questions about side dominance, i.e. what hand/arm or foot/leg (left /right) that one prefers to use as a first choice when writing, throwing, kicking a ball, jumping over a fence and stair climbing. Furthermore, there was a question whether the responder has a safer/better ski turn to the left or to the right.

The focus of this thesis is primarily in electronic construction and describes the design process for a microcontroller circuit board from concept development to prototyping. The client develops test fixtures for automated testing of products within the electronics industry and needs a new controller circuit for the test fixtures that can handle controls and basic testing. An investigation into the needs of such a system is conducted and a prototype printed circuit board assembly is manufactured.The prototype is developed with focus on protection against electrostatic discharges and overvoltage. Among the functions that are included are voltage measurements, communication interfaces and control of input and output currents. Detta kandidatarbete ämnar till att ta reda på om eller hur det går att applicera teorier om användbarhet på en webbplats. För att ta reda på detta togs ett koncept på en dynamisk webbplats fram, i form av wireframes, under tre iterationer med hjälp av en iterativ designprocess. Varje iteration avslutades med en heuristisk utvärdering baserad på ett antal riktlinjer som framställts genom en genomgång av litteratur om användbarhetsprinciper. In this thesis I will propose and test a pipeline for creating in-game animations using motion capture technology, with the aim to export to a 3D game engine, such as UDK or similar. Even though there are already established pipelines for creating in-game animations in the game industry, they are not of public knowledge and dissemination of information is hindered by the severe NDA (non-disclosure agreements) imposed on the studios and artists. I will therefore use my experience with game production and as a student, to research and propose an optimal pipeline for developing in-game animation that may be used by other students, researchers and independent game developers. The methodology used to test the pipeline will be a case study based on the student project Synergy, which I am developing with other third year students also attending the Game design Education at Gotland University..

The purpose of this thesis work is to create a prototype for an augmented reality application that isaimed to support service technician when performing service and maintenance of machines andengines. The prototype will be used for investigating what technical limitations there is and toestablish basic usability for the user interface. The method that is used is user studies and analysis toevaluate use cases and user stories. An iterative work process is then applied for design and theprototype is continuously user tested.The resulting prototype uses a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 running on Android operating system. Theframework used for augmented reality is NyARToolkit which handles marker recognition andconnections to Android.

Background: Examinations with the intent to assess neurological functions and level of conciousness are common in neurocritical care, but the effect on the patient is not entirely researched.Aim: The purpose of this study was to describe the patient?s situation at the neurological wake-up test concerning the environment, nursing interventions and the possibility given the patient to become awake, and if these conditions affect the outcome of the wake-up test.Methods: A quantitative observational study took place at a neurocritical care unit, where 20 patients were observed from interruption of sedation to the neurological assessment, which was performed by a neurosurgeon or a specialized critical care registered nurse. Nursing interventions, environmental factors and physiological parameters were documented.Result: Twelve intervention varieties to control patients? physiological parameters were used. CPP > 80 mmHg was found in 90 % of observations.

Vertical hydropower units has a rotating mass of up to 1000 tons. For the generator and turbine to work well the rotating system is required to be centered in relation to the surrounding structure. This is achieved by means of radial bearings. The dynamic characteristics of these bearings have a strong impact on the overall rotational dynamics of the total system and thus influence the vibrations in the unit. At Vattenfall Research & Development in Älvkarleby ongoing research is taking place on how the bearing parameters should be represented in the rotor dynamic calculations.

I uppsatsen undersöks hur 11 globala miljö och/eller etiskt märkta fonder har presterat i jämfö-relse med 17 konventionella fonder i det svenska premiepensionsutbudet genom tillämpning av utvalda finansiella prestationsmått. Detta med anledning av att miljö och/eller etiskt märkta fonder har haft en stor framväxt under det senaste decenniet och det finns därför en efterfrå-gan av att klargöra ifall en pensionssparare behöver göra avkall på den finansiella avkastningen vid val av miljö och/eller etiskt märkta fonder. En jämförelse av det statliga förvalsalternativet och 10 globala miljö och/eller etiskt märkta fonder har även gjorts för att undersöka skillnaden av att vara en aktiv respektive passiv premiepensionssparare då antalet som inte gör ett aktivt val är omkring 50 procent. Resultatet visar ingen statistisk signifikant skillnad med avseende på den riskjusterade avkastningen mellan fonder som är miljö och/eller etiskt märkta och fonder som inte tar hänsyn till dessa kriterier vilket överensstämmer med tidigare forskning. I jämfö-relsen mellan det statliga förvalsalternativet och 10 globala miljö och/eller etiskt märkta fonder har det förstnämnda presterat på en hög nivå..

Hemoplus® (Sarstedt, Nümbrecht, Tyskland) is a guaiac-based fecal occult blood test developed for human medicine. Guaiac-based tests make use of the pseudoperoxidase activity of hemoglobin so the test is not specific for human hemoglobin and can therefore be used in veterinary medicine. Peroxidase-containing foods such as meat (hemoglobin and myoglobin) can cause false-positive results of the test. To ensure that a positive result is not caused by diet, it has been suggested that canine patients should be fed a meatless diet for a few days prior to fecal occult blood testing. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of commercial dog food on guaiac-based tests. In this study fecal samples from healthy dogs were analyzed with Hemoplus®.
