Demenssjukdomar är ett växande samhällsproblem. Antalet personer med en demensdiagnos ökar i takt med en globalt allt högre medellivslängd. Vårdpersonal upplever en känsla av otillräcklighet och ställs inför svårigheter i den kommunikativa interaktionen med dementa individer. Vidare upplevs patientgruppens liv som tomt och innehållslöst. Det finns behov av att implementera en ändamålsenlig och relevant terapeutisk arbetsmodell i omvårdnaden av demensdiagnostiserade personer.

This dissertation is carried out on behalf of Two i Sverige AB. Two is a consulting agency which primarily works with the development of homepages. The company has several of its complete applications written in ASP e.g. the development of homepages. At the agency they have seen benefit migrating these applications from ASP to the more flexible environment ASP.NET.

By studying literature concerning design, didactics and reflection, and complementing those explorations with interviews with experienced design educators, this thesis challenges the idea of aesthetic media education being purely aesthetic in its characteristics. Drawing from their own experiences as a media aesthetics educator and an industrial designer, the two authors argue that the work flow used within most fields of design, commonly known as the design process, might provide a suitable didactic alternative to a field of education lacking relevant methodology. The literature study offers a better understanding of the design process and how it may be defined and viewed within an educational context. The interviews provide a more practical insight into the world of design education. The result shows that the design process as a didactical method theoretically offers both elements of critical thinking as well as direction and frames for students lacking aesthetic and artistic experience.

Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturstudie var att granska och lyfta fram vetenskapliga artiklar om beröringens/massagens upplevelser och effekter vid oro/ångest hos cancerpatienter. Artiklar har sökts i databaserna Cinahl, Medline, SveMed +, Pubmed och Elin@Dalarna och artiklarnas inklusionskriterier var att den taktila beröringen/massagen var av kroppslig kontakt, och de skulle rikta sig till vuxna cancerpatienter som upplevde symtom som oro och ångest. Artiklarna fick inte var äldre än 10 år. Resultatet påvisade att oro/ångest kunde minskas signifikant med massage/beröring hos cancerpatienter. I studier där upplevda effekter undersöktes visades det att vid beröring/massage hos cancerpatienter minskades oro/ångest och upplevelsen beskrevs som att spänningar försvann och att en avslappnande känsla infann sig.

This study examines the possibilities of interpreting the moral values and ethics presented in the current curriculums in a way that makes them inclusive and constructive. The study also reveals how the liberal democratic ideal, presented in the curriculums as a hyper-ideology, is not at all easy to define or live up to in the pluralistic school of today.By close-reading and criticizing the curriculum for the Swedish senior high school (Gy11)and by looking at it from two different points of views, as rules or norms and as a process, Ishow how the curriculum can be interpreted as a basis or starting point for a communicationabout values. I also discuss wether the aim of this communication should be consensus or anongoing process..

Lean Production is used by many manufacturing companies. Companies in process industries do not use Lean Production to the same extent today. This is part of the report's issue to explore how Lean Production can be applied to a company in the process industries.The investigated company is a processing company that manufactures various types of foil. The company wishes to streamline its production and has therefore asked the authors to examine if Lean Production can offer the company improvements in their production. Lean Production value stream mapping tool has been selected to identify and analyze the current state of two of its products in production.

Det övergripande temat för denna studie var socialsekreterares professionella engagemang för sina klienter och att detta engagemang i vissa fall blir särskilt uttalat. Studien utgick från följande frågeställningar: har socialsekreterare ömmat mer för någon/några av sina klienter, har socialsekreterare kämpat mer för någon/några av sina klienter, hur har i sådana fall de klientrelationerna varit? För att få en djupare förståelse för detta fenomen baserades studien på kvalitativa intervjuer. Intervjudeltagarna bestod av fyra socialsekreterare som arbetade som vuxenutredare inom socialtjänstens individ och familjeomsorg i två större städer i norra Sverige. En kvalitativ innehållsanalys av materialet gjordes vilket resulterade i följande slutsatser:- Att relationen mellan socialsekreterare och klient är central i arbetet.- Att relationen med klienten är någonting som går upp och ner.- Att socialsekreterare ömmar och kämpar för flertalet av sina klienter.- Att socialsekreterare har ömmat och kämpat extra mycket för vissa klienter..

The aim of this study is to increase understanding about addiction recovery. More specifically, we want to know what people who have had problems with alcohol and/or other drugs perceive as helpful and important for their recovery process and how we can understand this process.The study was conducted by means of qualitative semi-structured interviews with four people who have had alcohol and/or other drug problems. The analysis is based on a transtheoretical model of change from addictive behaviours, coping, interactionist theories and also a recovery perspective, inspired by research on recovery from mental illness . Main findings are that recovery from addiction can be understood as an individual process that takes place in a social context and can follow expected phases, although there are large individual differences in the process. Through the recovery process it has been of importance to the participants in the study to redefine themselves and their problems, get support from others, find ways to cope with their problems, get involved in meaningful activities and to expand their social roles.

The aim of this thesis is to describe the rise of the Tea Party movement in the United States. By using a known theory within social movement studies, the political process theory, this thesis look into the factors that could have played a role in the rise and fast mobilization of the Tea Party movement. The political process theory consists of three parts and hence looks into both the political structure of, in this case, the United States, how mobilizing structures have been used and into the cultural framing used by the Tea Party to create their identity. In order to bring structure to the thesis, the three theory parts have been transformed into analysis models. These give a very good idea of all the factors that could have played a part and therefore also a good way to describe the rise of the Tea Party movement.The research confirm what the political process theory says, that the Tea Party movements rise came at a time when there were a mix of factors at play, both structural and cultural, creating an opportunity that the Tea Party took.

A Road project?s frame is built up of a decision- and consultation process, where the results of the preparatory studies are being discussed. The aim with a consultation process is that all theopinions and knowledge from the operators' will be taken into count in the basis of information, that is needed in order to the different involved operators' to take a decision.The aim of the essay was to investigate how the decision- and consultation process for a road project, the E4 section between Uppsala Läby, turned out. The aim is also to bring up how theprocess could have been done more correctly. The study was carried out through a qualitative method with an analysis of materials from the National Road Administration's archives, the associated Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and through interviews of the different operators.My theoretical basis has been a Stakeholder Analysis and its principles, and theory about different executions of social planning.The result showed that the decision- and consultation process has been bursting in democracy and consideration taking of the different operators' opinions, has been poor from the developer?s, in this case the National Road Administration's, side.

This essay captures the process toward a democratic transition in South Africa and tempts on analyzing the efforts made by civil society before the negotiation with the government in the beginning of the 90´s. The method used is a case study.By applying the theory of Elisabeth Jean Wood about the importance of continued mobilization, I try to answer the question: to what extend did civil society influence the democratization process. The focus of the study lies on the years of intensified popular mobilization, from the start of the 80´s until the beginning of the 90´s.The results following this study shows that COSATU, Congress of South African Trade Unions) and ANC(African National Congress) played both a crucial role for the democratization process in South Africa. UDF, however played a role in the process, but not in the same significant way that COSATU and ANC..

Kronisk smärta utgör ett folkhälsoproblem, där psykologiska faktorer är betydelsefulla. Psykologiska behandlingar har god effekt, och det finns ett växande intresse för den terapeutiska alliansen i smärtbehandling. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka relationen mellan patientkaraktäristiska, allians och utfall, i två behandlingar för smärta; KBT och exponering. Ljudinspelningar av behandlingssessioner har skattats avseende allians med instrumentet Working Alliance Inventory. Ångest före behandling hade ett positivt samband med alliansen i båda behandlingarna.

Denna studie undersöker hur ledare för dramapedagogiskt arbete med utsatta barn och ungdomar upplever och beskriver sin ledarroll. Fokus ligger på hur de beskriver skillnaden mellan dramapedagogik och terapi men främst hur de beskriver och hanterar ett gränsland i en dramapedagogisk verksamhet som kan tippa över i en terapeutisk situation. Tre kvalitativa intervjuer och en mailintervju har gjorts med fyra olika kvinnor, med olika utbildningsbakgrund; dramapedagoger, socionomer och beteendevetare.I resultatet av de fyra kvinnornas beskrivningar utifrån frågeställningarna har tre aspekter kunnat utläsas som viktiga då det gäller att kunna hantera en dramapedagogisk verksamhet för utsatta barn och ungdomar, för att inte hamna i, eller för att kunna hantera att vara i ett gränsland mellan dramapedagogik och terapi. De tre aspekterna ärSYFTET, LEDARROLLEN samt FINGERTOPPSKÄNSLA.

The process of producing a video game is one that goes through a number of phasesduring the span of the entire production. One of these phases is the concept design phase,which is part of the pre-production. This phase is an important aspect of the productionas it is where all the different parts and ideas concerning the game are brought togetherto define what the game is going to be. Though a clearly important part of the videogame production surprisingly little research have been done on the subject of conceptdesign. This thesis presents what place concept design has in the overall game productionand how the design process is handled.
