En osäker eller rätt(s)säker organisation? En hypotesprövande idealtypsanalys om gräsrotsbyråkraternas handlingsfrihet inom Arbetsmarknadsverket
Ever since Lipsky wrote about street-level bureaucrats in 1980 the main belief has been that certain characteristics of their jobs make it exceptionally difficult to severely reduce their discretion. However, discretion comes at a price and if public servants abuse their power the legitimacy of government is at risk and ultimately even the democracy.This thesis address this question by analysing the Swedish employment service which in the beginning of 2001 started a project called ?Af Sverige? trying to improve internal rule of law. By comparing two local and fairly equal jobcentres and how the street-level bureaucrats within use their discretion, I seek to find support for my hypotheses that organizing local jobcentres according to the principles of machine bureaucracy plays a significant part in reducing discretion.My findings show that a jobcentre characterised by strict rules, few units, good communications and a forthright manager who delegates formal power to the employees results in a stricter and more uniform application of regulations among the street-level bureaucrats. My conclusion is therefore unambiguous.

Ett allt vanligare fenomen i dagens arbetsliv är inhyrning av personal. För många företag ses det som ett sätt att öka flexibiliteten och därmed minska osäkerheten i företaget, och för många människor ses det som en väg in i arbetsmarknaden. Men hur ser möjligheterna till lärande och utveckling ut för dessa individer? Syftet med denna studie har varit att belysa relationen bemanningskonsulter och deras lär- och utvecklingsmöjligheter i arbetet. För att belysa syftet utvecklades tre frågeställningar; ?Hur upplever bemanningskonsulten att lärande och utveckling sker på kundföretaget när denne är inhyrd??; ?Hur upplever bemanningskonsulten att kundföretaget bidrar till lärande och utveckling på arbetsplatsen för denne?? samt ?Hur upplever bemanningskonsulten att bemanningsföretaget bidrar till lärande och utveckling för denne??.

Förfädernas berg? : en tolkning av fornborgen på Halleberg
The essay deals with the hill-fort on the mountain Halleberg, Sweden, its wall design, functionality, dating and its possible function as a central location and a place of worship of the ancestors.The Halleberg hill-fort consists of a 1500 meters long at times cohesive stonewalls which together blocked the mountain from its surroundings. Hallberg's natural vertical scree and cliffs along with the masonry blocked the whole mountain from the surroundings.The hill-forts, with few exceptions are largely not investigated archaeologically and its functionality and role in the ancient society is based on outdated research on the subject. The current archaeological interpretation is that hill-forts served as temporary defense in times of unrest or served as center of power for a social elite. The prevailing view in the archaeological sphere is that the hill-forts had a variety of functions and that its functionality and role in ancient society has varied.Halleberg´s strongest wall sections are at the mountain's south-eastern part where the natural driveway, Storgårdsklev is located. Along with the massive masonry of the walls in Bokedalen Storgårdsklev functioned as the hill-forts main entrance.
Kollektivistiska individer i en individualistisk kultur: en fenomenologisk studie om hur muslimer och jezidier från mellanöstern upplever livet i den svenska kulturen
The purpose of this study is to examine if Muslims and Jezidier from the Middle East experience changes in them self when they live in Sweden and how they feel about apply for work in the Swedish labour market. The study uses the individualistic - collectivistic dimension to describe the differences between the Swedish culture and the participants home culture. A phenomenological, theoretical and methodological approach has been followed, with self-reports as the instrument for data collection. The information where analysed through the softwares MCA - Minerva and Sphinx-Lexica. The analyses show many different outcomes.

IPS - en väg mot arbete : Vad som påverkar arbetsrehabiliteringen utifrån IPS-coachers perspektiv
ABSTRAKTPersoner med psykiskt funktionshinder ärden persongrupp som statistiskt sett har minst chans att komma ut i arbete. Enarbetsrehabiliteringsmetod som enligt internationell forskning visat sig varaden mest effektiva för dessa personer är Individual Placement and Support(IPS), men kunskap om hur metoden fungerar i Sverige är ännu bristfällig.Syftet var att belysa IPS-coachers uppfattning om vad som påverkat arbetsrehabiliteringenför klienter med psykiskt funktionshinder inom två IPS-program i norraSverige. Metoden som användes var attanalysera åtta IPS-coachers dokumentation kring 65 klientersarbetsrehabilitering under totalt två år med hjälp av kvalitativinnehållsanalys. Ett övergripande tema kunde skapas ?Motivation och förmåga att se värdet av IPS möjliggör en fungerandearbetsrehabilitering?, som bestod av de fyra huvudkategorierna: ?Klientcentrerat arbetssätt för att skapa ochupprätthålla klientens motivation, ?Klientens hälsa, livssituation ochstrategier för konstruktiv anpassning?, ?Betingelser för lämplig arbetsplats? och ?Spelregler i samarbetet?. Upprätthållandetav motivation visade sig vara mycket komplext då det påverkas av så mångaaspekter och för personer med psykiskt funktionshinder kan det vara extrasvårt.

This thesis highlights starting points underlying the notions of two feminist utopians, Christine de Pizan and Charlotte Perkins Gilman. In approaching their texts, it focuses on the notions central to understand their writings. These would be historical, social, and cultural contexts. Defining concepts as utopian in its varying forms and feminism has been of significance. A feministic approach grounded in Simone de Beauvoirs philosophical phenomenology in the study of feministic utopia's visibility, has contributed to the understanding of the power structures to which women are tethered. In order to understand the way women are presented, it has become obvious that The Book of the City of Ladies and Herland are literary works that are related not only by their authors? background and personality but by the society in which they lived. Through their engagement in the contemporary intellectual debate on all social planes, both authors contributed to shifting the focus of their own contemporary notions of a woman to the notion of a woman equal to men. Woman, in Christine de Pizans utopia, is given specific properties and through themes of issues given meaning. She is not free in the sense that Simone de Beauvoir says. She has a broader repertoire than was historically assigned, but her freedom is not arbitrary, contingent, and temporary and judged by her actions.

This study is an intersectional analysis of how women who?ve immigrated to the bilingual municipality of Pajala, experience their current and future work life. The study is based on nine qualitative interviews with women of different class, age and origin. A number of constellations of relationships between these categories emerge in this study. What seems most central is that traditional notions of femininity and masculinity segregate labor vertically and horizontally.

ABSTRACT
This research explores how the Work Integration Center (AIC) supports unemployed immigrants in acquiring jobs and how the practical work helps immigrants in entering the labour market. It employs qualitative research approach through semi-structured interviews staff members at AIC and municipal commissioners of education and labour market in the municipality of Malmö. Its aim is to examine how governmental setup guidelines were represented in the practical work. These guiding principles of the organization are presented at the top of municipality. The findings suggest that even if the staff has no knowledge of the official measures of the integration plans, they have implemented the aims and criteria in their work with the immigrants.
På spaning efter den svenska modellen : Bortom strid och samförstånd
The aim of this thesis is to examine the Swedish model with attention to core values over time, as well as, explain recent changes. It examines changes of the social insurance system, with focus on political reforms in the unemployment insurance, health insurance and family policy, during the last two decades. The thesis is empirical but although a discourse amount political theories and normative conceptions.Conclusions are that the normative basis in the Swedish model contains general equally and uni-versally designed rights and consensus on growth and development as well as a strict focus on an employment oriented society. Important values have also been dialogue between actors as well as accountability, even if these facts appear to have declined in recent years.Relating to three leading theories in political philosophy - utilitarianism, Rawlsian communitarian-ism - explores the directions in later year political reforms. The results show that later years changes seem to go in relative strongly utilitarian direction.
Antal anställda på arbetsplatsen och attityder till invandrare : Sambandet mellan attityder till invandrare, arbetsplatsstorlek och individuella faktorer
Previous research shows that small workplaces more often discriminate immigrants during the process of hiring new employees than larger workplaces, and usually explains this result by referring to structural factors. At the same time, previous research also shows that self-employees tend to have different personality traits than other people. Could it be the case that the higher discrimination among small workplaces can be explained at an individual level? I examined the hypothesis through OLS-regressions using a survey called Employment, Material Resources, and Political Preferences. The results showed that people working at small workplaces tend to have more negative attitudes towards immigrants than people working at larger workplaces.
Discourse analysis of the swedish integration politics
This essay is a discourse analysis of the integration politics of the different parties
in the Swedish parliament and the non-parliamentary party ?the Swedish
Democrats?, as it is presented on their respective web pages. The overall purpose
is to problematize and shed a light on how the current discourse(s) about
integration are constituted. Also of interest is how these construct our knowledge
and experience of the phenomena. We furthermore want to illustrate the social
consequences of such discourses on the construction and organization of identities
and groups, and, as a result, the courses of action that becomes available.
