In supporting an efficient way to gather and develop contact information for the Uppsala Association of Technology Physicist alumni, it is crucial to have in place an adequate and user-friendly system allowing the continuous collection and storage of such contact information. This can achieved by the creation of a website where alumni can enter information about themselves and where such information in turn is stored in a database. A database containing relevant tables has been developed in MySQL. In utilizing phpMyAdmin, the programming language PHP and Web Server Apache, a fully functional website to be included on the Association's website has been created..

The thesis aims at, from a user perspective, examining how a group of industrial researchers understand the information seeking in their every day work. A qualitative method is employed. The empirical material consists of open-ended interviews with in all ten researchers. All of them work at the Swiss-Swedish Technology Company ABB's research laboratory in Västerås. The thesis is based on the opinion that the scientific knowledge production has become commercialised and that the scientific communication is going through certain changes.

Dessa ska kunna ge support till säljare ute hos kunder, vilket är speciellt viktigt vid nykundsbearbetning och större projekt, ta fram offerter, och allmänt fungera som en teknisk back up i olika tekniska frågor. 2) Produktutbildning för säljkåren, för att ge den tillräcklig teknisk kompetens, så att den kan hantera frågeställningar mellan kund och teknikorganisation. 3) Hantera mål- och rollkonflikter, genom strukturerat arbetssätt, med mål och planer, tydlighet med vad som förväntas av olika parter, samt lämpligt kompensationssystem. Med hänsyn till det som framkommit i intervjuer är detta den enskilt viktigaste punkten att nogsamt beakta, speciellt då den kan riskera att underskattas.

Purpose?This study has examined the information behaviour and perception of information in a group ofinformation users who have a critical approach to the media and the information supply. Some of them call themselvesor are being called conspiracy theorists. The purpose was to examine how their information behaviour is influenced by the belief that the information is biased or inaccurate and what the information behaviour looks like when the user searches for discrepancies rather than a response to a question.Method?The study is based on transcribed interviews and email responses to interview questions.

The numbers of mergers and acquisitions have increased significantly in the last period of time. Although this popularity for mergers and acquisitions, most of the mergers and acquisitions fail to create value. One explanation to this failure of value creation is, according to several studies, how companies treat integration of information systems in the pre-merger evaluation. The research within the field argues that information system integration should have a proactive role in mergers and acquisitions, meaning that information system integration should support the organizational change and normally be considered in the premerger evaluation. The aim of this thesis is to study issues that affect whether companies choose to consider information system integration proactively, when involved in mergers and acquisitions.

Undersökningen som gjorts i denna uppsats har som främsta syfte att kartlägga attityder till delar av könsneutralt språkbruk och orsakerna till dessa hos en specifik grupp av informanter ? studenter på universitetsnivå. Studenterna har valts utifrån vilket vetenskapsområde de studerar inom. De för undersökningen aktuella vetenskapsområdena är humanistisk-samhällsvetenskapliga vetenskapsområdet, teknisk-naturvetenskapliga vetenskapsområdet samt medicinska och farmaceutiska vetenskapsområdet. Ur informantgruppen från humanistisk-samhällsvetenskapliga vetenskapsområdet har två studentgrupper från historisk-filosofiska fakulteten samt juri­diska fakulteten valts ut till en senare del av undersökningen.De delar av det könsneutrala språkbruket som undersöks är pronomenet hen, företeelsen att det generaliserande pronomenet man byts ut mot en, samt könskonträra namn.

Syftet med denna studie är att belysa för- och nackdelar med polisens användning av GPS-positionering av polisfordon. Det polisiära GPS-systemet beskrivs, effektivitetsvinster, organisatoriska vinster och säkerhetsmässiga fördelar belyses. Vidare diskuteras i vad mån integriteten påverkas vid användningen av systemet. Polisens GPS-enhet är integrerad i polisens radiosystem Aurora C-52 och ger en automatisk positionering av polisfordon med presentation på kommunikationscentralens karta. Försöksprojekt med automatisk GPS-positionering av polisfordon har bedrivits och bedrivs bland annat i Norrbotten, Jönköping och Stockholm.

The purpose with this study is to map the research front and the research base in information science, by using the bibliometric methods bibliographic coupling and author-co citation analysis. The research questions are: 1. What is the nature of the research front in information science, regarding which areas that are being studied? 2. What is the nature of the research base in information science, regarding which authors who are most cited, and how they can be grouped? The data used in the study were gathered from articles published in the journal Journal of the American society for information science and technology, published between 2004-2006, respectively 1986-2006.

The analysis were focused on and delimited by the following conceptions; information literacy, digital competence and the information search process. The sources of information has primarily been taken from the field of information literacy and statements from professionals in the fields of information literacy and education.

Företagets inledandetankegångar och idéer kring produkten framgick och arbetet påbörjades.Under arbetets gång följdes Fredy Olssons anvisningar i hur en teknisk rapport ska se ut. Alltinleddes med en brainstorm och kundundersökning. Kundundersökningens resultat mynnadeut i en kravprofil, till denna tillkom även Evonovas krav och önskningar. Kravprofilenanvändes när vi sållade ut lösningar från brainstormen.Vidare använde vi oss av idéerna vi fått fram och arbetade fram CATIA-modeller på möjligaförslag.

The purpose of this bachelor?s thesis is to examine video games, gamers and gaming from an information science perspective. The purpose of the study is partly to study video games as a type of information system and partly to study gamers information use, information seeking and also the experience of gaming. A selection of five games have been analysed using a topology for video game analysis created by Espen Aarseth. A quantitative investigation has also been made, in the form of a web survey distributed through four Swedish online forums, the result of which was analysed using Carol Collier Kuhlthaus model of the information seeking process.

Consumers today leave a fragment of information when they pay with their debit and credit cards. The aim of our work is to investigate ways to design a concept of a system in which digitally stored information that today is fragmented among several different holders, can be assembled into a system and made available to consumers. In our study of how a system for financial flow of information should be designed, we intend to study the present situation and the attempts made to alter it into a more informative reality. We intend to investigate the flow of information when a consumer pays by card, and the possible solutions regarding the design and transportation of digital receipts. A majority of the information of our digital consumption is today handled digitally.
