The purpose of my study was to examine adoptive parents' experiences of adopting children older than three years of age. I wanted to look into what kind of information, help and support every adoptive parent had received. I also wanted to examine if the adoptive parents worried about anything concerning the children's emotional needs and in what way the adoptive parents prepared themselves for this, before the adoption. I asked the adoptive parents about their knowledge regarding the children's experiences from the time before the adoption and how things had been going since the children came to Sweden. To achieve my purpose I interviewed six adoptive parents from five families, with a total of eleven internationally adopted older children.The research findings of my study showed that a risk exists for older adopted children to suffer emotionally because of earlier experiences.

Global climate change is one of the greatest challenges in our history. As the average temperature is rising due to anthropogenic emissions, impacts such as floods, droughts and hurricanes, affect the lives of millions of people. Though the least developed countries are least responsible for emissions, they are the worst affected. This thesis focuses on environmental justice in the adaptation discourse. By outlining the adaptation discourse from the United Framework Convention on Climate Change principles, to the Marrakesh Accords, via the Kyotoprotocol my ambition is to analyse how environmental justice has been interpreted in relation to the adaptation discourse.

In this essay I have aimed to examine how the theology of Paul Tillich relate to modern views of reality, both the way it was expressed in his contemporary time and the way I see it today. Reality I have defined as an entirety of the physic- and metaphysic reality. A so called panentism where God is reality and the world is a part of this reality.With Tillichs Systematic Theology as my principal material, I have first made a brief presentation of his theology, of its construction and main concepts. Then I have chosen to further examine the way he describes being, reason and revelation to see how this particular concepts of Tillich agree with my definition of reality. In this I have consulted the books Tillich in Dialogue by Mackenzie-Brown and Natural Theology Versus Theology of Nature, a book edited after the forth international Tillich symposium 1992, which had "Tillichs thinking as impetus for a discourse among theology, philosophy and natural sciences" as a theme.I have tried to point out the possibilities opened up by the ontology and epistemology of Tillich for the dialogue between theology and natural sciences.

Technological advancements in information and communication technologies (ICT) have resulted ina need to use ICT in schools. Sweden has actively promoted ICT in schools since the early 1980's.In Japan, 1994 saw the government's first step towards active promotion of ICT in education. In thisstudy, we have compared the strategies used to promote the use of ICT in elementary and secondaryschools in Sweden and Japan. Our findings suggest that a similar 3-step approach was used in bothcountries: 1, infrastructure; 2, effective use of ICT; 3, implementation of ICT. A significantdifference was found in the way the two countries planned their strategies.

Cycle time has a direct influence on number of returnable crates needed and therefore a crucial parameter for cost structure and pricing of the user fec in the pool system.For providing the growing market, number of crates has to increase as well as the utilization of existing crates. To accomplish this aim, cycle time for the whole supply chain has to be fully unravelled and understand.The purpose is to map cycle time and stock movements, to see how, where and when crates are being used in the supply chain. The goal is to make a method of cycle time calculation, together with suggestions of improving the pool system and decrease cycle time.The study has been a combination of qualitative and quantitative research and comprises the three biggest wholesalers in Sweden; ICA, Coop and Axfood. Furthermore have 65 grocery shops, connected to the wholesalers, been investigated and mapped.The study has come to a conclusion that cycle time for an average returnable crate is 19 days. The full-size and half-size crates have a bit longer cycle time, 21-22 days, while Dual Height-crates and shallow haif-size crates have 17-18 days.

The purpose of this study was to examine and illustrate whether employed social workers, working with supplementary benefits at a social service office, felt stressed. If so was the case, we wanted to investigate if this stress that they felt had any effect on their clients. This study was based on eight qualitative interviews, of which four was with social workers and four was with clients. For a better understanding of our results we used Karasek & Theorells demand-control-support model.The study reveals that the social workers do feel stressed, but they only do so in periods. They declare that they would like to have more time for their work assignments, the meetings with the clients in particulate.

Many people perceive a division between an online world and the ?real? world outside of the World Wide Web. However, this view often leads to a reduced sense of importance ascribed to what takes place online, even though it affects life in very real ways. In our study we aim to explain the importance of how meaning is built in to sociomaterial compositions. By analyzing comment fields hosted by a Swedish IT-journal we illustrate how what is being said interplays with the technological platform in various ways.

News value is an essential part of which event media chooses to report about. Political events consider to bee news with potentional large value. Media has an enormous power and possibility to create news and construct there own reality and where the readers is given a false expression of what really happened. Today the media must show profit and that indirect affects how the media choose to describe political events. In the Kenya case is it therefore possible to draw the conclusion that the two news paper has different construction of the political event in Kenya.

Problem Hur fungerar dagens kylkedja för den utvalda frysta produkten? Vilka skillnader finns mellan av företagen beskriven, och faktisk kylkedja? Kan Bioetts system förenkla kvalitetsarbetet i dagens kylkedjor? Kan Bioetts system visualisera brister i dagens kylkedjor?Syfte Syftet är uppdelat i tre olika områden: Dels skall det undersökas huruvida Bioetts system kan säkerställa en obruten kylkedja för den frysta produkten, dels skall en studie påvisa om det finns skillnader i av aktörerna beskriven kylkedja, och den faktiska kylkedjan. Till sist skall en hypotetisk modell presenteras för hur Bioetts system kan utformas för att erhålla så mycket nyttig information som möjligt ur systemet.Metod Fallstudien kommer att ha en utgångspunkt i att vara kvantitativ genom att ingångsdatan består av statistik i form av avläsningar från Bioetts system. Dock har projektet breddats genom insamling av kvalitativ information. Insamlingen av denna empiriska data har genomförts genom halvstrukturerade intervjuer med respondenter från aktörer i försörjningskedjan, samt genom egna observationer av inre flödestider.Slutsatser Studien påvisar att kylkedjan för den frysta produkten inte förblir obruten under distributionen.

Dessa värden är framtagna för olika scenarier i framtiden, på Landvetter för 4, 5 och 6 miljoner årspassagerare samt på Norrköping flygplats för åren 2005 och 2010. Simuleringsmodellen passar både för flygplatser med en respektive två terminaler Resultaten skilde sig ganska markant ifrån de tidigare statiska beräkningarna, vilket främst beror på att i de statiska beräkningarna sprids fordonsflödet ut jämnt på en timme och bryr sig inte om de riktiga flödestopparna..

AbstractFöreliggande arbete diskuterar ghanianska tidningar ur ett demokratiskt perspektiv. Genom att konstruera en idealmodell för hur dessa tidningar bör se ut i ?den bästa av alla demokratier? beskrivs hur verkligheten bör förhålla sig till ett ideal. Denna modell prövas sedan, genom en kvantitativ textanalytisk metod, på ett empiriskt material som består av artiklar från fem olika ghanianska tidningar. Utifrån dessa artiklar är syftet sedan att undersöka till vilken grad de ghanianska tidningarna lever upp till det utvalda demokratiska idealet.

With the volume and availability of information increasing as fast as technological development in society a phenomenon called information overload has emerged. The purpose of our thesis was to investigate how university students experience this increase in volume and ease in access to information. In our study we concentrated our focus on the student?s use of electronic resources. So as not to prejudice our study group our questions focused on different aspects of searching for information.

Det yttrade sig framförallt i en stark moralisk hållning med kritik som vapen.Vi frågar oss om aktiveringen kan betraktas som ett sätt att ta fokus från inrikesproblem. Är förändringen en taktik av Socialdemokraterna för att stärka sin maktposition? Genom en ?mest lika?-analys jämför vi perioderna 1945-1964 och 1965-1976 för att hitta förklaringar till förändringen.
