Corporate governance intensified due to the corporate scandals in the USA which led to a new law the so called Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).In 2005 the "Svensk kod för bolagsstyrning" (The Code) was introduced. The main purpose of The Code is to strengthen the confidence in Swedish companies quoted on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. The Code focuses on the working process of boards. The rules set by The Code places higher demands on the board.  Among many other duties the board has to establish long term operational goals and strategy.

Mapping a process enables a greater understanding of the work, and is standard to evaluate and improve a process. This thesis is conducted at Test Bed Mechanical Design at Scania in Södertälje. Test Bed Construction is a complex process, characterized by a large amount of creative work, technical challenges and coordination between different people and different organizational functions.The aim of the thesis was to identify the Test Bed Construction Process and to develop a visual model of the workflow that also served as support for the engineers in their daily work. During the mapping process, comparisons were made with previous research in lean product development to identify process improvement.A literature review on process mapping and process visualisation resulted in a method for process mapping. The study showed that research on process visualisation is neither structured nor well defined.

Background: Companies and organizations of today spend large amounts of money on IT-based business solutions. Such business solutions normally include business- consulting and software-creation (IT-related services). Due to the rapid development of the technology within this field of business the IT-customers find it difficult to select among potential suppliers on objective grounds.Purpose: To increase the understanding for the professionl approach of the people involved in the sales- and purchase process of IT-related services in a business-to-business context. Syftet med studien var att undersöka behovet av stöd hos högstadieelever med hörselnedsättning som går integrerat i den ordinarie grundskolan. Jag har använt mig utav en kvantitativ enkätmetod samt en kvalitativ intervjumetod, där jag har genomfört tre telefonintervjuer innan utformningen av enkäten påbörjades. Resultatet av studien grundar sig på 18 enkätsvar, av 54 utskickade, samt tre telefonintervjuer med personer som har en hörselnedsättning och tidigare har gått integrerat i den ordinarie grundskolan. Resultatet visar att eleverna har ansträngande skoldagar till följd av att det krävs full koncentration för att höra vad klasskamraterna säger. För att de ska ha en chans att följa med i samtalen i klassrummen krävs en bra ljudmiljö, det är fyra elever som har uppgett att de inte kan följa med i samtalen.

Syftet med undersökningen är att utveckla en förståelse av vad som krävs för en framgångsrik implementering av digitala lärresurser i samhällskunskapen på gymnasiet. Syftet undersöks genom fyra frågeställningar som riktas mot skolors tekniska förutsättningar, lärares digitala kompetens, hur och när digitala lärresurser används samt hur eleverna påverkar lärarnas användning. Undersökningen har en kvalitativ forskningsstrategi som genomförts genom semistruturarade intervjer med sju samhällslärare på tre gymnasieskolor i Malmö. Undersökningen utgår ifrån Mishra och Kohlers teori om TPCK (technical, pedagogical and content knowledge) syftar till att medvetandegöra teknikens dynamiska samband med pedagogiken och ämneskunskapen. Undersökningens resultat visar att samhällslärarna använder digitala lärresurser för att aktualisera och konkretisera sin undervisning samt för att motivera eleverna. De digitala lärresurserna används främst som ett komplemet till tradtionella läromedel i form av sekundärt digitalt material. Användningen påverkas starkt av IT-infrastruktur och lärarkompetens. Lärarna ställer sig postivt till en ökad användning av digitala lärrserser men efterlyser en större pedagogisk vision och utbildning i hur digitala lärresurser kan användas pedagogiskt i undervisiningen.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to analyse school librarians and teachers perspective of childrens reading and reading progress, the impact of informational texts on childrens reading and how school librarians and teachers work/teach to improve their students understanding of informational texts. We also intend to study what consequences school librarians and teachers believe that childrens reduced understanding of informational texts can have in the long run and how this could be improved. The theories applied encompass different literature-pedagogical strategies, theories about reading purpose and direction of the reading process together with a theory that shows the school librarys function in the education. The empirical material has been collected through interviews with one school librarian and one teacher at three different schools. The material has then been analysed and interpreted from theories and earlier research.

This also transforms our attitude towards literature and we can see a return to literature based on verbal characteristics. According to Hans Hertel the verbal renaissance reflects a modern man need to come closer to each other and create togetherness.

How a speaker can use their posture, gesture, facial expression and voice to create a strong ethos, pistis and sense of trustworthiness is, in this paper, associated with charisma (the power of leadership or authority).Verbal and nonverbal expressions from three particular speeches by Martin Luther King, John F Kennedy and Bill Clinton have been analyzed in depth. The results show that patos as well as strong nonverbal expression are factors in inspiring devotion or creating enthusiasm. Personal magnetism and radiance is also found to develop through figures of speech and rhetorical devices, including metaphors. Results show that facial expressions, pitch and other prosodic information are not always consciously taken in. Nevertheless, it is questioned whether such information can affect the ethos and pistis developed.

The overall market they are concentrated on is to different institution such as schools, hospitals etc.The purpose of this work is to investigate possibilities to improvement of material- and production control at JELD-WEN. The report will handle the master production schedule to and from the production divisions within manufacturing industry. Focus will be on the way for information- and material flows from arrival, transport within the company and further on to customers.Further a map of the flow was performed which gave a clearer picture of the connection between the flow of information- and material for the manufacturing process. On the basis of the mapping of the flow, the group discovered that the flow of material had some improvement potential.

According to the National Agency for Education 06-06-2010 are approximately 115 000 students graduating from Secondary School in the year of 2010.Out of these students, we know that thousands of them are hampered by reading and writing disabilities in various degrees. Have these students been given the best support needed when it comes to writing and reading?Compensation may be perceived as a goal for the pupil to catch up with the rest of the educational group or as a vehicle to go round the difficulties. In Sweden, diagnosed dyslexics are not allowed to use speech synthesis, a compensatory technical aid, during the 9th degree national tests.This study?s purpose is to discover if the usage of speech synthesis during the national test of Swedish and reading comprehension might work as a motivation booster for the students and consequently increase their test scores.This is a quantitative study including study including 15 pupils with diagnosed reading and writing disabilities.

The work is important in that it creates safety awareness and promotes a healthy safety culture. Moreover, the future goal is to lower these statistics. To enhance optimisation of timber flow from forest to industry Moore efficient methods for measuring tree stems of standing trees are needed. The performance of terrestrial laser scanners have improved and these could possibly be used within forestry in the future. The objective of this study was to validate how a terrestrial laser scanner could be used to measure stem diameter, and to test how the errors depend on distance from the scanner and tree species. Two plots (one pine and one spruce) were used for this study.
