The main reason for the study was to find out how much naturscience is used in the daily situation in the preschool/school environment with the younger kids. To get my answers I interviewed ten teachers with different teaching background.The result showed that science was present both in the preschool and school for the early years. Everything from teamwork to outdoor play and small experiments. In Sweden the latest curriculum, Lpo 94 was released in 1994. This document revolutionized the teaching profession. The school system was changed from a governmental control into a communal control. The earlier curriculums were controlled by rules; Lpo 94 is controlled by aims. This has led to a big spectrum of teaching styles which all of them agrees with the Lpo 94.Our purpose with this report is to illustrate two different leadershipstyles regarding the subject Swedish.

Title: This is not Africa - West African Teaching methods in Sweden. This is a work of "translation". The study started with a musical journey to Guinea, West Africa. It was a field study where I had the opportunity to open my senses towards another culture and another kind of music. I found another learning tradition and decided to try to bring it with me back to Sweden, into the Swedish school system.

The purpose of this study is to give a description of how six pedagogues in the third and fourth grade teaches mathematics and which working methods they use. When using the term working methods it is implied that it can for example be outdoors pedagogic, laboratory material, problem solutions et cetera. This material can both be an everyday material or a pedagogical material. The research was carried through by interviews and observations. Six pedagogues were interviewed in two different districts.

The aim of this paper is to examine which attitudes and experiences teachers have around the wide text concept, which is found in the course plan for the Swedish subject, and to find out which function films have in their teaching. The starting point of the paper?s theoretical part is the Swedish subject?s course plans and current research concerning the wide text concept and film in teaching. In order to achieve the formulated aim, qualitative interviews have been performed with three Swedish teachers active in the later years of compulsory-school.The result shows that there are divided opinions of the actual meaning of the concept. However the three teachers agree that film has something to enrich the teaching of the Swedish language and they are for most part positive to using film in their teaching.

Title: Violin technique in folk music education. The purpose of this research has been to examine how violin teachers who are folk musicians teach violin playing techniques. Through litterature studies and qualitative interviews I have studied the relationship between Teaching methods regarding violin playing techniques of the two genres folk music and classical music and how the teachers in the study relate to this. Mywork shows that the teachers use a variety of methods and material from both genres which they have come in contact with through different parts of their education.Jag har undersökt hur fyra fiollärare inom genren folkmusik arbetar med fiolteknik med sina elever. Genom litteraturstudier och kvalitativa intervjuer har jag undersökt relationen mellan undervisningstraditioner för teknikövning inom genrerna folkmusik och klassisk musik och hur lärarna förhåller sig till detta.

The aim of my study is to investigate methods which class teachers implement concerning aesthetic subjects in elementary classes. It is a qualitative study about five teacher´s working in different elementary schools. This study investigates how and why teacher´s approaches when they integrate aesthetics in other subjects. It also investigates teacher´s attitude towards aesthetics. My study emphasizes on why they use asthetics and what the importance of aesthetics for children is.

This study is about how the dialog can help students with special needs to feel participation and inclusion in the class and the teaching. My purpose with this study was to look for how the students with special needs interact with other students and teachers through the dialogue. I also wanted to know if there is any positive and negative effects to teaching students with special need in the classroom compared with the teaching at the special teacher.I have taking purpose of the sociocultural theory in my study because it says that children learn together when they communicate with each other. The theory central words are dialog and scaffolding in the zone of proximal development. I also describe central words like participation, inclusion and students with special needs in the special teaching.I have investigated in four interviews, two of them were with a teacher and a special aids teacher, and two of them were students with special needs.

The aim of the study is to investigate how a teacher uses multimodal resources with an interactive whiteboard while teaching reading and writing. The aim is also to investigate what view the teacher has on using an interactive whiteboard while teaching reading and writing. Video-recorded observations and audio-recorded interviews are the methods used to collect data. The analysis was performed from a multimodal perspective and is also inspired by interaction analysis. The result of the analysis showed that the teacher uses several multimodal sign systems in combination with those found on the interactive whiteboard.

AbstractThis examination is about how pedagogue can teach language in junior school first year with element of the arts of learning. The purpose of the examination is to take a piece of how pedagogues in two classes in junior school first grade can use the arts for a way of working with the language teaching. The observation of Swedish- and English language training in two classes have give a insight in how two teacher work with the language teaching in first grade. The class teachers who were interview received questions about the observation and what they think about language teaching. The questions were about their basic view on language teaching and arts of learning.

Background: Language skills are of great importance for all work at school and for students' future life and activities. Therefore it is particularly important that preschool and school in every way possible should encourage and support ALL children's linguistic development. Many linguists points out that all learning takes place best in natural and meaningful contexts and around a meaningful content.Theory: The study is based on theories created by the renowned theorist Lev Vygotsky who illustrates what is important to encourage children's reading development. Vygotsky?s theories regarding the zone for the next development were reflected in the study.

This thesis is about Swedish and Serbian teachers and their views on how literature should be taught to students in high school. The twist is that these teachers live in two different European countries, and work under two different educational systems. Three of them work in Stockholm, Sweden and the other three in Belgrade, Serbia. The purpose of this thesis was to find similarities and differences in the practice of teaching literature among teachers in these two different educational systems. The teachers were interviewed separately and spoke freely about their views and methods when teaching literature.

The purpose of this study is to shed light on how teachers on the upper secondary Arts with Music programme use movement in their teaching of music, and how they approach movement as an educational tool, by investigating the following three issues:1. What significance does movement have for teachers on the Arts with Music programme?2. How do teachers on the Arts with Music programme regard movement as an educational tool in the teaching of music?3.

The purpose of this dissertation is to examine how teachers in the municipal Music schools Schools of arts (kulturskolor) estimate the quality of their teaching rooms, which factors that are significant for their opinion, and if they have experienced any tendencies of improvement in the quality of their teaching rooms. The examination is built on a questionnaire, which was sent to a number of music- and ?culture schools? in Sweden. From the answers you can read that the majority (66%) of the teachers are satisfied with their teaching rooms, even if a relatively large part (33%) seems to be unsatisfied. The single factor that are of most importance for their opinion are how much of their teaching they spend in rooms that doesn?t belong to the music- or ?culture school? and also are used for other kinds of education.
