Från den 1 april 2006 har SWEPOS kompletterat den befintliga nätverks-RTK-tjänsten, som dittills levererat RTK-data för GPS, med ett alternativ där RTK-data för GPS/GLONASS levereras. En del användare har rapporterat att de upplever att GPS/GLONASS inte tillför något och även att det ibland kan ta längre tid att få fixlösning. Andra användare hävdar att de nu kan använda nätverks-RTK på platser där de tidigare inte kunde mäta och är mycket positiva till GPS/GLONASS.Syftet med detta examensarbete var att undersöka hur tillgängligheten för satellitmätning, positionsnoggrannheten och initialiseringstiden påverkades i öppna respektive störda miljöer med GPS/GLONASS jämfört med enbart GPS vid användandet av nätverks-RTK-tjänsten. Undersökningen har utförts med tre olika fabrikat av GNSS-mottagare (Leica, Topcon och Trimble), vilket även medger att en jämförelse mellan dessa till viss utsträckning kan göras.I studien gjordes totalt 1 440 mätningar på sex punkter med kända positioner och med olika grad av sikthinder. Fixlösning uppnåddes inte inom 180 sekunder för 206 (77 för GPS/GLONASS och 129 för GPS) av de 1 440 mätningarna.De extra GLONASS-satelliterna tillför en klar fördel när det gäller möjligheten att mäta i störda miljöer.

Safe in the cityscape? Gender aspects on spatial city planning In this thesis, theories regarding gender and spatial planning are applied to the comprehensive plan Fortuna och Hemgården in eastern Malmö. Independent of factors like class, ethnicity and age women experience lack of safety to a larger extent than men do. Today, safety aspects on housing projects is scarcely a controversial issue, quite the contrary. However seldom are the central terms such as safety and security defined. Research has shown that women feel safe when they experience little risk of being subjected to violence; security is deeply interconnected with feeling safe.

De flesta fastigheter som ligger i samhällen runt om i Sverige ligger i en detaljplan. Det innebär att kommunen har detaljreglerat vad som får byggas. Bestämmelser gällande byggande och detaljplaner finns i plan- och bygglagen, PBL (1987:10).PBL 8:11 behandlar när bygglov skall beviljas på en fastighet som ligger inom en detaljplan. Om vissa rekvisit inte är uppfyllda får en ansökan om bygglov inte beviljas. Som i många andra lagar finns ett visst utrymme för undantag.

The purpose of this study is to examine a preschool's work to counteract traditional gender roles, which strategies are used and how norms about gender roles are produced and treated. The study also examines whether the preschool has an intersectional perspective in it's gender work, which analyzes how they relate to other categories such as ethnicity, race, class, age and sexuality in their work. I have been observing and conducting four interviews with teachers at a preschool with a gender profile. In my analysis I have used Foucault's theories about discourse and power. The results show that the informants had a high awareness of gender and that the main strategies used were: an individual perspective, seeing the individual and not the sex, and a gender-neutral strategy, removing everything that is gendered, for example, in language and environment.

This report is based upon an experimental study of exit sign luminescence in different environments. The purpose is to evaluate the lowest luminescence of an exit sign, based upon Swedish regulations. Scientific experiments have been conducted in a controlled environment, where exit sign luminescence was graded by an evaluation group. The results of these have been verified by similar experiments that took place in two department stores. The final result of the study is guidelines for appropriate exit sign luminescence in different environments..

This thesis describes teh solution of two problems regarding safety on powered lawnmowers; protectning the users from injury when using the lawnmower in slopes, and when cleaning the cutting blade.The task was carried out through initial studies on a representative lawnmower. A generation of ideas followed with an evaluation to select the best solution. The winning concept was further developed to reach acceptable performance. The word resulted in a functioning prototype utilising an original way of detecting inclinations without incorrect signals. I Sverige finns det nästan 300 myndigheter som kontrollerar olika delar av livsmedelskedjan från jord till bord. De flesta av dessa myndigheter är kommunala nämnder som genom sina tjänstemän sköter tillsynen av många olika sorters livsmedelsverksamheter. En av dessa verksamheter är gårdsmejerier och andra mindre mejerier som i många kommuner är de anläggningar med högst riskklassning och dessutom oftast unika i sitt slag, vilket ställer storakrav på de kommunala livsmedelsinspektörerna.Den konflikt som ofta kan uppstå vid de tillsynsbesök som inte motsvarar båda parters förväntningar och önskningar kan ofta leda till misstro och en dålig dialog. Detta kan leda till problem både för företagare och för inspektörer som får ett sämre arbetsklimat. För att komma till rätta med dessa problem måste man undersöka vad som fungerar bra och lära sig av dessa goda exempel.

This report presents suggestions and recommendations on how to convert an old industrial building, built in 1958, to an office hotel. One of the main criteria was that the floor plan should be flexible. The building is situated at Jonsereds Fabriker and the study was conducted for Hantverkslokaler i Göteborg AB, the estate owner.The survey is initiated with study visits at various office hotels, together with studies of literature regarding office planning. One conclusion from the study visits is that meeting-places, where the different companies can meet and exchange ideas and services, are important. Another one, and probably the most important parameter when planning offices is that they should have windows.

I detta examensarbete har vi undersökt några av byggstenarna i ett skivbolags verksamhet som också utgör grunden för deras inkomster. Resultatet av arbetet blev en påbörjad produktion och marknadsföring av en skiva och en plan för lanseringen av densamma. Genom detta har vi skapat oss en praktisk erfarenhet av arbetslivet i musikbranschen. Arbetet har dessutom genomförts med en för ändamålet låg budget. Vi har även undersökt olika marknadsföringsmöjligheter och intervjuat två yrkesverksamma personer i detta ämne. .

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka vilka faktorer i uppväxten som kan ha betydelse för utvecklandet av ett missbruk. Fokus har varit att belysa vilka riskfaktorer i uppväxten som kan påverka utvecklandet av ett missbruk, samt vilka skyddsfaktorer som är viktiga för att ett barn ska utvecklas gynnsamt. Studien baseras på en kvalitativ metod där fyra semistrukturerade intervjuer har utförts och grundar sig på fyra respondenter med erfarenhet av ett eget alkohol- och drogmissbruk, och deras berättelser om sin uppväxt. Studiens avsikt har varit att utifrån inlärningsteoretiska utgångspunkter förstå uppväxtens betydelse för utvecklandet av ett missbruk. Faktorer som kan påverka individer har delats in i tre huvudgrupper: Biologiska, psykologiska och sociala faktorer.

The aim with this thesis is to investigate two different methods used to test usability on web-sites to determine the advantages and disadvantages of two methods and compare the results. The two selected methods are the think aloud method and asynchronous remote method. Re-mote usability testing has existed for more than ten years but the possibilities with this meth-od needs to be explored more.To achieve the purpose of this thesis a case study was conducted on an e-commerce site and for the online remote usability testing software was used.The results of this study show that think aloud usability testing encounter more issues with the website than the remote usability testing..

Purpose/aim: My purpose is to illustrate the significance of the language in communication with immigrants having a different native language, who suffers from dementia. The three main questions have been:How important is the native language in the communication with immigrant who suffers from dementia?What consequences can happen for the immigrant who does not understand Swedish? How can we use the salutogenesis point of view to create satisfactory care for immigrants who has difficulties to make them self understood in the Swedish language? Material/method: I made qualitative interviews with staff working in nursing homes with dementia care. I also searched scientific articles and other findings in this area of science. Main results: The best care for immigrants with dementia is nursing homes where the staff speaks the immigrant?s native language.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how investments are justified in the Swedish data center industry, with a focus on cooling equipment. This is achieved through semi-structured interviews with 20 different interviewees. These interviewees represent different facets of the industry and facilitate an understanding of which factors, such as: investment costs, operating costs, reliability, environmental impact and the influence of external and internal actors, come into play and to which degree they impact the investment decision-making process. The results show that primarily low operating cost in the form of low energy consumption is the driving factor when it comes to the procurement of new equipment. A lower environmental impact is a positive side-effect of lower energy consumption.
