?Tillvaron [...] vidgar sig? : Alberte ? en Ny kvinna i genusomskapandets tid

This essay examines the Alberte triology, by the Norwegian writer Cora Sandel, from a gender/feminist perspective. Taking Yvonne Hirdman's theory about the gender system as a starting point I will show how the living conditions and the different roles of men and women are represented in the novel and how they are changing during the centuries before and after the First World War.I am particularly interested in Alberte, the main character, what attitude she takes to her position in the gender system and in what way she differs from the traditional female model. Is she a New Woman, a different ?species?, who doesn't fit into the rigid gender system? Does the New Woman have a male counterpart, and is he to be found in the novel? Does the novel give a positive vision of a future where men and women can meet as equals?.

Utvärdering av öppna dikens status och funktion : en förstudie i Västmanlands län

Evaluations of open Ditch status and function, with an assessment of suitability of a conversion to a two stage ditch as a low maintenance alternative. To illustrate Swedish drainage problems this work focused on two agricultural drainage associations assessed in detail with a new method called MADRAS (Minnesota Agricultural Ditch Reach Assessment for Stability). With the assessment of the MADRAS method estimates were made to conclude the ditches operating problems. This was made through measurements of sediment depths, mass bank failures etc. in order to quantify ditch problems and propose practical actions for improved ditch stability and water quality. The MADRAS surveys were conducted in two main ditches that drains 2900 hectares of land on the northern shores of Mälaren. In the study measurements of the ditch cross-sections were also conducted to compare actual profiles with the original map profiles. The evaluation showed that parts of the studied ditch sections were operatively poor; main reason was mass bank failure, undercut channel banks, sediment aggregations and narrowed ditches. The profile survey shows that a majority of the profiles 80 % has sediment accumulations there remains only 64 % of the original profile from the map.

Microstrip Solutions for Innovative Microwave Feed Systems

This report is introduced with a presentation of fundamental electromagnetic theories, which have helped a lot in the achievement of methods for calculation and design of microstrip transmission lines and circulators. The used software for the work is also based on these theories. General considerations when designing microstrip solutions, such as different types of transmission lines and circulators, are then presented. Especially the design steps for microstrip lines, which have been used in this project, are described. Discontinuities, like bends of microstrip lines, are treated and simulated.

Att involvera anställda genom kommunikation ? Om betydelsen av kommunikation för utfallet av ERP-implementering

Forskningsrön tyder på att organisatoriska och sociala faktorer är den största anledningen till att 90 % av implementeringarna av ERP-system misslyckas. Förespråkarna för involvering av användarna för lyckad implementering är många. I denna studie har vi belyst en fallstudie i en relativt liten livsmedelsorganisation där det har studerats vikten av kommunikation och kommunikationsrutiner för att ta till sig ett nytt system samt hur detta har påverkat organisationens anställdas acceptans gentemot det ERP-system de implementerat. Denna studie visar att om kommunikation innefattar kunskapsförvaltning och kunskapsspridning kring det ERP-system som implementeras kan det innebära större acceptans hos användarna, då de får förståelse för varför saker och ting sker samt varför deras arbetsuppgifter ser ut som de gör, en kontext kring sina aktiviteter. Vi fann att kommunikationssättet, det vill säga huruvida den var formell och rutinartad eller informell, inte påverkar utfallet av användarnas acceptans gentemot ERP-systemet, så länge kontexten för aktiviteten förmedlas.

En fallstudie om en IT-process inom landstinget i Värmland : Ett föråldrat IT-system kräver verksamhetsförändring

Organisationsförändring behövs för att bevara hög effektivitet i organisationer när omvärldenförändras. För större organisationer behövs en tydlig avgränsning arbetas fram innanorganisationsförändringsarbetet startar. Landstinget i Värmland behöver utföraorganisationsförändringar på grund av ett föråldrat IT-system som används i verksamheten. Enmålgruppsanalys har genomförts av IT-systemet vilket resulterade i tre målgrupper. Intervjuer medpersoner ur de tre målgrupperna har genomförts vilket resulterade i data som användes till attanalysera och svara på rapportens två forskningsfrågor.

En undersökning av Libra IIIs OPAC utifrån två perspektiv

This master thesis is an attempt to study the interface in itself, where the human meets the machine and the problems that can arise. I study a particular interface, namely the OPAC of Libra III. In 1999 IFLA presented recommendations for what an OPAC shall contain, and in one part of my master thesis I compare Libra III with these recommendations from my opinion. In another part of my master thesis I make an investigation where I let five by me chosen persons answer some questions from me, both by doing and verbally. I draw the conclusion that Libra III follows most of the recommendations of IFLA in a sufficient way.

Låt den sista utvägen bli den första ingången : Att underlätta implementeringen av ett nytt intranät då dess föregångare underutnyttjats av de tänkta användarna

The purpose of this thesis was to ease the implement of an upcoming intranet for a target group who had used the previous system to an unwanted low extent. After qualitative and quantitative studies I found that the users of the current intranet thought it was hard to navigate and did not understand neither the relevance of it in their own work nor knew which information it contained.Since I did not have access to the new system by the time of the making of this thesis I concentrated on rectifying possible problems with the new system regarding the relevance and the contained information. With basis in a number of theories I produced an information brochure, whose object was to inform about the content and to convince the target group of the relevance and utility of the new intranet. .

Samverkan på Järnvägen : Samverkan för arbete med Förebyggande Underhåll

Under litteraturstudierna fick författarna en uppfattning om att järnvägsbranschen är präglad av en hel del problematik som visat sig i ett flertal brister. Flera större omorganiseringar hade skapat en bransch med otydliga ansvarsgränser och otydliga roller med en mängd utdragna rättsliga tvister mellan beställare och entreprenörer som följd. Stämningen beskrevs som dyster och kompromisser mellan järnvägsaktörer förekom inte i den mån som behövdes, utan aktörerna tänkte mest på sin egen verksamhet. En ändring behövdes.Rapporten är begränsad till tre nyckelaktörer med koppling till järnvägsunderhåll: beställare, entreprenör och trafikutövare. Fokus har lagts på det alltför förekommande avhjälpande underhållet, som visar sig i form av trafikstörningar och trafikstopp.

Lärplattform : En undersökning om lärarens krav och vad som bör övervägas inför implementation

Många lärosäten använder idag fler än en lärplattform, ibland inom en och samma institution, program eller kurs. Uppsatsens syfte var därför att ta fram riktlinjer för vad som bör beaktas vid val av lärplattform för att fylla organisationens behov och passa dess förutsättningar. Undersökningen genomfördes med en kvalitativ datainsamlingsmetod där vi genom intervjuer med fem lärare vid Linnéuniversitetet samlade in deras krav. Resultatet blev en checklista som listar lärarnas krav och genom att kritiskt granskat litteratur kan vi rekommendera organisationer vad de bör överväga inför implementationen av en lärplattform..

Tydligt men komplicerat - om upplevelser av ledningssystem

De flesta företag använder sig av något slags system för att kontrollera arbetsflödet. Dessa system används av alla på företaget och därmed är det viktigt att undersöka, hur medarbetarna upplever detta system. Med en explorativ utgångspunkt gjordes en enkätstudie på ett företag i Västsverige. Resultatet visade att deltagarna, förutom några få procent i stort sett hade liknande positiva upplevelser. Ingen skillnad fanns heller mellan grupperingarna ung/gammal eller antal år de arbetat på företaget.

Theuser interface in Windows 8 is based ona design language called Metro and it isprimarily designed for touch screens.Ida Infront AB wanted to know whatpossibilities and limitations the Metrointerface offers.The study has resulted in a prototypeapplication that is developed in Windows8. The prototype shows how the Metrointerface can be applied on a casemanagement system. Some limitations inthe usability have been identified inthe Metro interface when applied to acase management system.

"Som om barnet heter Kalle" : - En studie av mottagandet av ensamkommande, asylsökande barn i Sverige 2008

 The 1st of July 2006 Sweden made a change of authorities in the system concerning the reception of separated asylum seeking children. Prior to the change, the Swedish Board of Migration was held completely responsible for the reception of these children, who arrives in Sweden without their parents or any other relatives to care for them. Since the alteration of the law (1994:137) the responsibility for the housing of these children now lies within the Swedish municipalities, while the Board of Migration still handles their legal commissions. The change was intended to fundamentally improve the conditions under which these children were taken care of. However the implementation took a severe wrong turn when the municipalities weren't prepared for their new responsibilities and the immediate result was alarming. This qualitative study is based upon interviews with the people responsible for the reception of the separated asylum seeking children in the municipalities of Kronobergs County, as well as one of the two people in charge of the new system at the Swedish Board of Migration.

Register now and stay in touch : En studie om sambandet mellan CRM-system och företagsprestation

Title: Register now and stay in touch ? a study about the relationship between CRM-system and business performance.Purpose: The purpose with the study is to identify if there is a positive relationship between CRM-system and business performance in Swedish multinational companies in the industrial sector.Audience: This essay is addressed to the Swedish multinational companies in the industrial sector.Methodology/ Approach / Design: We have applied a qualitative method, with a deductive approach. Through an in-depth interview with the case company Benzlers AB, which provided the empirical basis, supplemented with the CSI-values.Conclusion: The study has presented evidence, that there is a positive relationship between CRM-system and business performance which has been confirmed by the positive increase in the CSI-value after the implementation of the CRM-system.Originality/ Value/ Contribution to knowledge The study contributes with its own results that fill in the knowledge gap about the subject in Sweden. The study finds that the CRM-system effectives the interaction with the customer and thereby business performance increase, with the CSI-value as unit. This therefore increases the value and importance of investigation of Swedish multinational companies, whose purpose is to satisfy the customer and at the same time, increase the business performance.Future research: For future research we suggest publishers to base the empirical basis through additional in-depth interviews with added case companies.
