Syftet med arbetet har varit att undersöka om en viss arkitektur kan användas för att underlätta utvecklingen av ett Back Office-system till ett befintligt och komplext verksamhetssystem.För att gränsa av arbetet och hitta de delar som var intressanta att fokusera på genomfördes intervjuer med tre olika personer som hade olika syn på ett Back Office-system genom sin yrkesroll. Intervjuerna resulterade i ett antal önskemål för vad man ville uppnå med ett Back Office-system.Arbetet resulterade i en arkitektur som kan användas för att underlätta utvecklingen av ett Back Office-system till det befintliga verksamhetssystemet samt till verksamhetssystemet självt. Arkitekturen har utvärderats genom att man först ställde en mängd krav på den och sedan studerade hur den klarade av en mängd nya krav som delvis var relaterade till de gamla kraven.Alla tester som gjorts visar på att arkitekturen är väl designad och lätt att underhålla samt att den kommer underlätta den fortsatta utvecklingen av verksamhetssystemet och dess Back Office-system..

The purpose of this Masters thesis is to compare the scheme structure of two national classifications system, namely the Swedish SAB system and the German ASB. It has been assumed that there are no major differences between the two models of classification systems or the main classes into which documents are placed. The classification theory and subject analysis, which form the basic theory on which my research is based, are taken from Dahlberg, Langridge and Rowley. A comparison of 30 monographs classified in the SAB system Sveriges allmänna biblioteksförening and in the German ASB system Allgemeine Systematik für öffentliche Bibliotheken showed that the classification structure was primarily responsible for determining where a particular document was placed. However, despite the fact that the subject in various documents may be similar, my research will demonstrate that the structure of the two codes also depends on different interpretations of the main subject in a document.

The integration of the Internet in our society has shaped alot of the things we do in our lives. The Web allows us to achieve certain things directly through our computers, such as reading the paper and paying our bills. But this integration has also lead to another interesting change. Activists have begun to unload their operations onto the Net instead of holding on to the more traditional demonstrations performed in squares. This study aims to look into the world of cyberactivism and examine how cyberactivists experience the way activism has changed as a result of using the Internet.

Career counselors in schools have for a long time reported a feeling that their work is not as important as teachers work. According to the Swedish Curriculum for the compulsory schools, all staff is responsible for viable counseling for pupils. Therefore, this study focuses on teachers, headmasters and a school executive director view of school career counseling, how they experience the fulfillment of curriculum goals and how it interferes/interacts with their work. To analyze the empirical material we collected from interviews, we used theoretical terms of organizational theory with focus on social structures, differentiation and integration. För att ringa in problemen utgår vi från följande frågeställningar: Vilka styrdokument ligger till grund för undervisningen i religion? Hur främjar religionsundervisningen tolerans och förståelse över de etniska och religiösa grupperna? Utifrån dessa områden formulerade vi sedan de frågor som vi använde vid intervjuerna.Metoden vi använde oss av var öppenriktad intervju. Sedan vi analyserat intervjusvaren kom vi fram till resultatet. I vår undersökning sökte vi efter problem kopplade till religion i skolan, till vår förvåning uppfattade ingen av respondenterna några sådana i sin religionsundervisning. Vi har därför lyft fram de problem som vi uppfattade att skolorna hade, men som de inte själva såg, i vår diskussionsdel.

Dokumentet är ett resultat av studier gjorda under kursen Kandidatarbete I Datavetenskap. Arbetet utforskade, genom fallstudie, två egenskaper av distribuerade informationssystem och relation mellan dessa: säkerhet och prestanda. Målet med fallstudien har varit att belysa nackdelen med användning av Secure Socker Layer (SSL) dvs. dess effekt på hastigheten och fördelen med SSL, dvs. SSL:s roll i informationssäkerhetsarbetet.

En kvalitativ studie om behoven bland dessa barn och ungdomar.Författare: Lotta Nilsson Syftet med denna studie har varit att undersöka vilka behov som finns bland ensamkommande flyktingbarn som kommer till Sverige både som nyanlända och efter utflytt från HVB-hem. Det har också varit att jämföra deras behov med de tänkta behov som formar mottagandet i Sverige.Studien är av kvalitativ karaktär med semistrukturerade intervjuer av fem stycken unga män från Afghanistan, Somalia och Ryssland samt integrationsutvecklare på Länsstyrelsen och lärare vid integrationsprogrammet. Resultaten visar på att behoven varierar mellan informanterna men att behovet av tillhörighet och längtan efter familjen i hemlandet är något som förenar samtliga. Vad som också blir tydligt är hur olika behov påverkar individens val och förmåga till koncentration och fokus.

The purpose of this essay was to compare the Swedish and the Japanese pension system and see if there were any big differences or similarities. I was looking for answers to such questions as if the systems were modelled with the problematic demographic situation in mind and also how these two countries had tried to manage the problems. Path dependency was also a central conception when I studied the reforms of the two pension systems. I mainly used literature and Internet sources in my study. There were many books on the Swedish pension system and the debates that had been going on since the 80's.

Företagsförvärv är en vanligt förkommande strategi för tillväxt och verksamhetsutveckling. Hur den förvärvande parten hanterar själva integrationsprocessen av den uppköpta verksamheten är av avgörande betydelse för möjligheten att realisera önskade samordningseffekter. Integrationsprocessens framgång är i sin tur beroende av de anställdas upplevda välmående och belastning under processen. Syftet med undersökningen är att studera hur hårda integrationsansatser påverkar de anställdas upplevda välmående och belastning i samband med ett företagsförvärv. Undersökningen studerar också huruvida det existerar samband mellan anställdas upplevda välmående och deras arbetsbelastning, samt hur upplevelserna skiljer sig åt mellan olika faser i integrationsprocessen.

Effektiv kundsupport har blivit allt viktigare och studier visar på att de kunder som lämnar företag gör det till följd av dålig service. Anledningen till att uppsatsgruppen valt Customer Relationship Management (CRM) som ämnesområde är på grund av egna erfarenheter och upplevelser av dålig och opersonlig kundsupport. På grund av detta finner uppsatsgruppen att det är intressant att undersöka hur företag hanterar kundsupport och hur informationsteknik (IT) kan stödja denna verksamhet. Uppsatsen är skriven ur ett deduktivt angreppssätt som kännetecknas av att empirisk data testas mot befintlig teori. Det empiriska materialet samlades in genom att intervjua fem företag som bedriver support med stöd av IT.

In this Thesis the possibilities of designing a larger building that is very energy efficient in the sense that it would not need a conventional heating system are discussed. Solar radiation transmitted through the windows, internal heat from occupants, lamps and electric appliances inside the building and heat recovered from the ventilation system then have to be sufficient for the heating of the building. This study is of general interest since the property company, Akademiska Hus, plans to use this study as a first step in determining if this technique could be used in the future and thus be worth further investments. A building without a conventional heating system of the size investigated in this project has not yet been built.The energy needed for the heating of the building was simulated using VIP+.The conclusions from the study are that it is possible to build large buildings without any conventional heating system. This could be achieved in many different ways, for example by lowering the inside temperature or by using better windows and heat recovery system with higher efficiency.

The report is the result of a master thesis at ENEA AB during the fall of 2009. Itaims to create a specification of flash memory management system which focuseson power efficiency and low RAM usage for embedded systems, and to design andimplement a prototype of such a system to facilitate further development toward thecreated specification. The system used by ENEA today is a Flash Translation Layer(FTL). It has a complex structure which prohibits modifications and customization,therefore a new flash memory management system needs to be developed.The suggested solution uses a translation layer called Metadata FTL (MFTL), wherefile system metadata and userdata are separated from each other in order to improveperformance. The partition holding userdata uses a block-level mapped translationlayer system called Fully Associative Sector Translation FTL.

The purpose of the study, "Living in Two Worlds" is to try to find out how the professionals in social work reasoning and thinking about children 0-3 years living alternate residence and how children 0-3 years are affected by form of housing . Questions are how they professional reasons and think about the type of housing, what advantages and disadvantages they consider are and the conditions under the professional must be satisfied that the child will not get hurt. Study is a qualitative study using semi-structured interviews. The theory that the study is based on the attachment theory explaining the relational processes that occurs between the child and its care person.      The results of this study show that if the parents are in great conflict with each other is important for the child cope with the alternating form of housing well or not.

2005 was the year that all of the 25 member states in the European Union were to ratify the treaty of a constitution for Europe. The year did, however, offer a series of unexpected and slightly shocking events as both France and the Netherlands voted no to the constitution. Because of this the already planned referendums across many of the other member states were either postponed indefinately or the debates simply died down. The fact that two of the most pro-EU countries didn?t ratify the constitution was not only something that certainly raised the question of how future referendums in other, more EU-negative, states would turn out, but it could also be seen as harsh criticism against the EU as a whole.This is a theory consuming study, as it uses different theories of integration to explain the development of the EU, which in turn supports and strengthens the essay's conclusion.

Klimatfrågan har ökat intresset för förnyelsebar energi inom både elproduktions- och transportsektorn. Från elproduktionens sida är vindkraft den teknik som växer snabbast. När vindkraft inkluderas i elkraftsystemet medför det att intermittens uppstår på elproduktionssidan. För transportsektorn har det diskuterats mycket kring elektrifiering av personbilen, som skulle kunna bli både ett miljövänligt (om elproduktionen kommer från förnyelsebar energi) alternativ till dagens konventionella bilar och ett sätt att reglera elproduktionen då en stor andel vindkraftsturbiner adderas till elproduktionssystemet. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka och analysera påverkan på den elektriska lastprofilen på grund av plug-in hybrid elektriska fordon (PHEVs) och effekten av en sådan förändrad last på produktionen i ett elsystem bestående av termiska anläggningar och vindanläggningar.
