The project is operated by the building companies NCC, Skanska, PEAB and JM, the Swedish Building Industry and the Swedish Environmental Institute IVL. The purpose of the project is to create a common environmental assessment system for the entire building industry and with the help of this system phase out the use of especially harmful properties from building products.In a large sense BASTA works like this; On the BASTA web site there is a database, to which a supplier can register the company and the company’s products. Only those products with a substance content that fulfil the demands of the BASTA system, is to be registered. As it is the supplier himself that carries out the registration of the company and the company’s products to the system, the BASTA-organisation annually controls that the companies that are registered in the database, fulfils BASTA’s demands.Since NCC is one of the companies that operates BASTA, BASTA is probably going to be the environmental assessment system that is recommended for the company in the future.

The purposes of this literature review were to study how nurses use intuition in health care, how these experiences are described by nurses and if you as a nurse can learn how to use your intuition. We also want to make nurses attentive of and give them the courage to use their intuition. The study is addressed to both nurs-ing students and practicing nurses. The method is a literature review based on nine scientific articles. The results implicate that nurses use their intuition to know how to do something, when additional measures needs to be done and which measures they are.

Trots vetskap om att den kliniska bilden vid autismspektrumtillstånd (AST) förändras med åldern råder det brist på diagnostiska instrument som är specifikt designade för vuxna. Ritvo Autism and Asperger Diagnostic Scale (RAADS) är en självskattningsskala utvecklad för detta syfte. Den svenska versionen av RAADS utvärderades i föreliggande studie med avseende på intern konsistens, diagnostisk validitet och samtidig validitet. Undersökningsgruppen bestod av 75 individer med högfungerande AST samt 200 kontroller utan AST. Därtill utfördes en preliminär analys av resultatens stabilitet över tid.

The aim with this study is to analyze how Swedish social services interpret men's and women's needs and whether it is possible to discern any pattern in the social services investigations. The following questions are of importance: how men and women are described in the assistance investigations and if there are any differences between men and women in assistance investigations. The analysis is based on a qualitative text analysis of twenty assistance investigations. The investigations have been studied gradually and interesting patterns emerged which were analyzed by the theory of gender.The results are multifaceted and demonstrate on the one hand that men and women receive the help they apply for and the assessment of their needs is conducted in an equitable way. On the other hand, the study demonstrates that there is a difference in how men and women are described in the investigations..

Kroniskt obstruktiv lungsjukdom (KOL) är en kronisk, långsamt progredierande lungsjukdom. I Sverige beräknas 400 000 -700 000 personer ha diagnosen KOL - vars orsak bero framförallt på rökning. Syftet med föreliggande arbete var att belysa hur patienter med diagnosen KOL upplever sin vardag. Metoden var en litteraturstudie som genomfördes i databaserna Medline, Cinahl och PsykInfo. Tio vetenskapliga artiklar ingick i arbetet och alla hade en kvalitativ ansats.

Kryptosporidier är globalt förekommande protozoer med förmåga att framkalla diarré och andra symptom hos ett infekterat värddjur. I dagsläget känner man till ett tjugotal arter av kryptosporidier, varav flertalet är zoonotiska. Människor drabbas främst av Cryptosporidium hominis, en humanspecifik art, samt av den zoonotiska arten C. parvum som är vanligt förekommande hos kalvar. SammanfattningBody Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) karaktäriseras av en fixering vid en inbillad defekt i utseendet. BDD leder till påtagligt lidande och svårigheter att fungera i vardagen. Diagnosen förknippas med depressivitet, social ångest och hög suicidrisk. Syftet med studien var att under svenska förhållanden prova en behandling bestående av exponering med responsprevention (ERP) och monitorering på patienter med svår BDD-problematik. I single-case designer av 5 patienter undersöktes effekten av ERP som specifik faktor utöver terapeutnärvaro och monitorering.

The scope of this master thesis is the scientific publishing at Uppsala University's Faculty of Arts. The aim of the thesis is to investigate publication patterns and publishing strategies. To investigate how the publication patterns of the faculty is structured and what priorities and considerations the researchers have regarding scientific publishing. Furthermore, the aim is to compare these publishing strategies and publication patterns to incentives and selection principles of the bibliometric indicators in the performance based research funding systems on the national and local scale.The thesis is based on the theories of disciplinary differences developed by Richard Whitley and Tony Becher and Paul R. Trowler. These theories suggest a framework based on organizational and sociological perspectives, that offers ways to explain differences in publication patterns between different scientific fields.The study is based on two empirical studies of the faculty.

Syftet med denna studie är att studera argumentationen framförd av motståndarna till könsneutral äktenskapslagstiftning. Debatten mot könsneutralt äktenskap har huvudsakligen förts av förgrundsgestalter inom de religiösa samfunden, men debatten har trots detta haft en sekulär karaktär. Med utgångspunkt i en heterosexistisk teoretisk diskurs, har argumentationen analyserats. Studien utkristalliserar argumentationen och hur de formats för att bilda opinion.Slutsatsen visar också på att det stora flertalet argument som förs fram i debatten kan klassificeras som heterosexistiska. Heterosexism är ett symptom av heteronormativitet.

Uppsatsen behandlar och belyser problemen som uppstår ur föräldrars upplevelse av socialsekreterares maktmissbruk i myndighetsutövning. Studiens syfte var att med hjälp av en fenomenologisk ansats och sju halvstrukturerade kvalitativa intervjuer, utforska ovan nämnda upplevelse och dess eventuella följder hos föräldrar till barn som har befunnit/befinner sig i den svenska sociala barnavården.Analysen visade att upplevelsen uttrycktes i form av kraftiga känslor av negativt slag såsom förtvivlan, ilska, vanmakt, hjälplöshet o.s.v. Därmed följde psykiska -, fysiska -/ psykosomatiska - och psykosociala besvär som tenderade att eskalera i ärendets olika faser. Konklusionen blev att upplevelsen av socialsekreterares maktmissbruk i myndighetsutövning påverkade samtliga aspekter i föräldrarnas liv, främst negativt. Detta frambringade destruktiva följder som i sin tur förvärrades med en fortsatt upplevelse av maktmissbruk, där undantaget var de psykosociala följderna som i ett fall tenderade att minska i samband med att ärendet avslutades..
