Functional Foods ? från nisch till massmarknad?

Vi kom fram till att de svenska konsumenterna är mycket intresserade av functional foods och har en positiv inställning till produktgruppen men att bakgrunden till deras intresse skiljer sig åt. De livstilsorienterade konsumentgrupperna är primärt intresserade av produkternas emotionella egenskaper som smak, evig ungdom, bättre image, smalare midja och är mindre intresserade av produkternas kemiska sammansättning. Det produktorienterade konsumentgrupperna är däremot mer intresserade av varför produkterna är nyttiga och ser inte functional foods som ett redskap för att förbättra sin personliga image utan man är angelägen om kroppens fysiologiska välbefinnande. Det finns således avgränsade segment på den svenska marknaden som både är intresserade av functional foods men av olika anledningar. Sammantaget skapar detta en möjlighet för producenterna att differentiera sina positionerin mot olika kundgrupper.

"Varumärket är ingenting utan personalen" : Intern kommunikation av varumärket inom hotellsektorn

The purpose of this paper is to examine the correlation between hotels, their brands and the frontline staff within the industry. A competitive, international environment characterizes today´s hotel industry where brands are one of the strongest sources for a successful position amongst competitors. In the brand delivery, the front line staff is of utmost importance since they in many ways incorporate the brand values and the projected identity of the hotel. Hotels can use a variety of ways to communicate the brands identity to the front line staff in order to create the desired brand behavior, some more effective than others. At the same time the Swedish hotel industry, as many other, is characterized by a high percentage of staff turnovers.

Han är snäll och hon känner sig lite ledsen : En semantisk studie av personbeskrivande adjektiv i populära barnböcker

In 2010 Swedish political parties used commercials broadcasted on TV for the first time in order to gain votes in a general election. In connection with the election the parties were criticized for not succeeding to formulate a story to the voters that conveyed how they wanted to change Sweden. In this paper I use central concepts from rhetoric, storytelling, postmodernism and psychology to formulate three demands each on the narrator, the story and its reception. Using the resulting image of what distinguishes a good narrator, a good story and a good reception as a starting point, I investigate to what extent the critique was justified. My findings indicate that the degree to which the commercials fulfill these demands vary greatly.

This paper focuses on traditional clothing enterprise IT strategies. The purpose was to investigate the correlation between traditional clothing companies IT strategies and their brand. In a market where the competition is high it has become more important that the company targets a customer segment. To reach their targeted customers the company builds their brand with different corporate strategies. This segmentation is necessary because of the high exposure to competition, and a well-established brand could be a prerequisite for profitability.  In today?s market, IT has a major impact on the clothing business.

Att studera varumärken utifrån profil,image och identitet : En komparativ fallstudie av Tallink Silja AB och Viking Line AB

För att särskilja sig från konkurrenterna på marknaden behöver företag idag ett unikt koncept som gör att konsumenterna uppfattar företagets produkter och tjänster som pålitliga och tillfredsställande. Varumärken har fått en allt större betydelse i konsumenternas val av ett företags produkter och tjänster. Detta beror troligtvis på att konsumenter handlar allt mer emotionellt snarare än rationellt, vilket grundar sig i att de vill självförverkliga sig själva. Ett varumärkes styrka och dess värde för ett företag kan mätas på ett flertal sätt. I detta arbete utgår vi från en teoretisk modell som beaktar tre begrepp (profil, image och identitet) vilka i sin helhet bör överensstämma för att ett varumärke ska kunna klassificeras som starkt.I denna uppsats har vi undersökt och jämfört kryssningsföretagen Tallink Silja ABs och Viking Line ABs varumärken genom att studera huruvida företagens profil, image och identitet överensstämmer.

Avatarens många skepnader : En digital representation för bättre självkänsla

Avatarer är vanligt förekommande i datorspel och används för nöjes skull men avatarer används även i seriösa spel. Rapporten undersöker hur en persons självkänsla och body image kan stärkas med hjälp av en avatar och vilka egenskaper avataren behöver ha. Undersökningen genomförs som en litteraturstudie. Slutsatsen är att det troligen går att skapa en avatar för detta ändamål, men att det är många aspekter att ta hänsyn till och att det inte är helt självklart vilka val som behöver göras. Viktigt verkar dock att användaren själv får välja sin avatar, att till exempel typen av klädsel påverkar liksom avatarens längd.

AbstractAim: The aim of this study was to describe which coping strategies women use when they have been diagnosed with breast cancer. In addition, the purpose was to describe how woman?s self-image changes after a mastectomy. Method: A literature review study has been carried out with a descriptive design. The result of the study included 16 articles which were found in the databases: Cinahl, PubMed, PsycInfo and through manual search.

Redovisningens internationalisering : Konsekvenserna av en potentiell frikoppling mellan redovisning och beskattning

Since 1928 the Swedish accounting and taxation has been closely linked by law which today as the European Union works with its harmonisation of the European accounting systems brings up difficulties. The Union strives to integrate the countries different ways of accounting in order to make it easier to use and understand foreign information. The Swedish connection between accounting and taxation means that a harmonisation would change the whole system as its known today. The purpose with this study is to examine what the link between the two means and how a decoupling would affect Swedish accounting and auditing. We also want to examine how the Swedish taxation office, who currently uses the accounting as a ground for taxation, could guarantee the quality of the declaration without a proper underpinning. The study shows that a decoupling could lead to an increase in quality on swedish accounting and that the administration would become more difficult to handle. The risk of dividend of untaxed profits is not seen as a problem in this context.

Övervakning av ston i sen dräktighet genom transrektal ultraljudsundersökning av placentan :

Abortion during late gestation is often caused by placental dysfunction such as placentitis. To prevent this from happening the placenta can be monitored pre partum so treatment can be started at an early stage. Methods for monitoring the placenta include hormonal monitoring, presence of clinical signs of placental dysfunction and ultrasonographic evaluation of the fetus and the placenta. Transrectal ultrasonography provides a very good image of the caudal portion of the allantochorion where an ascending placentitis normally establishes. An increased combined thickness of the uterus and the placenta, CTUP, has been associated with placental failure. This study included ten Swedish standardbred trotter mares in late gestation. They were monitored by transrectal ultrasonography of the placenta two times with approximately a month in between. CTUP was measured on each examination.

In this report a study is carried out with the aim to identify added values of EPC projects implemented in schools in order to increase the interest of EPC projects on the market. The report examines how the planned maintenance, supervision, maintenance and corrective maintenance is affected, how insurance premiums and terms are affected, the indoor environment and how the tasks of the operating staff is changing. A literature study of energy savings, energy use in schools, maintenance and insurance as well as how energy efficiency improvements are related to the Swedish environmental objectives has been made. Visits were carried out in Ludvika, interviews were also carried out with operation technicians and local strategists in Ludvika as well as employees of insurance companies.Schools often have neglected maintenance and problems with ventilation and indoor environment. Schools also have a large energy saving potential due to their low utilization, mainly because they are empty parts of the year.

Radio Totalnormal ? erfarenheter av att göra närradio : Människor med egen erfarenhet av psykisk ohälsa ger sina perspektiv

This is a qualitative study with the aim of getting better knowledge and understanding of how people with mental illness experience having access to a public communication channel. The study builds upon qualitative interviews with four participants of a radio project called Radio Totalnormal (RTN). RTN is a community radio station where people with mental illness do radio. The study focuses on how the respondents describe the participation in the project and how it has affected their self-image. The analysis uses the concept of empowerment and four social psychological concepts: social responsivity, asocial non-responsivity, abstract sociability and concrete sociability.

Myndigheternas medier : En studie av svenska myndigheters nya medieanvändning

The purpose of this thesis was to study a selection of Swedish government agencies and their usage of new media to convey information. We thought that the relationship between government agencies and the media should be addressed. This because of the current transitional period between traditional and new media. We have studied five different Swedish government agencies; Swedish Armed Forces, Swedish Tax Agency, Swedish National Institute of Public Health, Trafikverket and Sida.We used a qualitive content analysis and analyzed their homepages on the basis of six different criteria. In addition to this we studied their presence on external social communities and how the government agencies comply with the requirements of their communicative efforts.The study shows that the government agencies? media usage varies.

Större, rikare och friskare och fortfarande förbisedda - Varför?

Syftet med vår forskning är att undersöka varför inte fler företag inom resebranschen i Sverige har valt att rikta mer av sin marknadskommunikation till, och valt att fokusera mer på 50+ marknaden, trots att mycket fakta belyser segmentets attraktivitet. Vi har valt en deduktiv undersökningsansats och en kvalitativ forskningsmetod. Telefon- och mailintervjuer ligger till grund för vår insamling av empirin.De teoretiska aspekter som vi valt är orsaker till ignorans av 50+marknaden, image, universell design, kognitiv ålder, kommunikationsteori och age cohort. Dessa har i avsikt att hjälpa oss tolka det empiriska materialet. Vi har valt att intervjua en kommunikationsdirektör och marknadschefer på ledande svenska resebolag, grundaren och delägaren av Senioragency Stockholm samt en framtida entreprenör i resebranschen.

Mångfaldsarbete i skolans organisation och undervisning

The purpose of this thesis is to clarify the concept of ?managing diversity? and to describe how it appears in the Swedish school, in the classroom as well as in the organisation. To support the study, interviews have been carried out with principals and teachers in three different Swedish schools.The thesis is divided into two sections; a literature study and an interview section where we describe the thoughts and knowledge of principals and teachers. From a diversity point of view, we discuss the relationship between documents, organisation and teaching.The study described in this thesis shows that managing diversity has not yet had its break-through in a Swedish school context. The official curriculum of the Swedish school system values diversity, although the directives are unclear as to how the managing of diversity is to be carried out in reality.
