The case I have chosen is Swedish alcohol policy. Thus, the purpose is to explore whether observed changes in Swedish alcohol policy in the years 1993-2005 can be explained by Swedens´s membership in the European Union. To reach this purpose the following questions need to be answered:? What is europeanization?? How has Swedish alcohol policy changed from 1993 to 2005?? Is it possible to connect the changes in Swedish alcohol policy to a process of Europeanizationprocess?The method in this essay has been a qulitative study of litterature.

Background: Officers in the Swedish Armed Forces educates their soldiers in various skills and arenas. The Officers get their educational training in officer training courses conducted by the Swedish Armed Forces or the Swedish national defence college. The aim of this study was to find out how the cadets, belive that they are formed into educators, their views on the literature being used in the Swedish armed Forsces, and their views on leadership and educational science.Methods: The data for analysis were collected in spring 2010, by use of a questionnaire among cadets studying the tactical/operational program Ta/Op 07/10 at the Swedish national defence college. The respons rate was 69, 6 %.Results: The majority of the cadets thought that experience was the most important factor in becoming a good educator. Most of the cadets also thought that the literature being used by the Swedish armed forces was good, however, few cadets stated that they will use the material for reflection on their own teaching when working as officers.Conclusions: The Cadets had a positive attitude towards the educational philosphy and literature being used, but few will use the literature in reflecting on themselves as teachers.

Forskning hävdar att endast ett fåtal av styrelseledamöterna förstår vilka beslut som är värdeskapande för företaget. En av orsakerna är oförmågan att rekrytera rätt personer och flera röster har höjts för att en diversifierad rekrytering till bolagsstyrelser är en möjlig lösning på problemet. Diversifieringen kan ske utifrån olika demografiska faktorer som på en aggregerad nivå ska medföra att processen från beslut till genomförande blir effektiv. Vi finner stöd för en ökad diversifiering hos styrelsen i en rad teorier som alla är en del av tankegodset inom bolagsstyrning.Syftet är att konstruera och applicera en teoretisk modell för en lönsam styrelsesammansättning utifrån existerande forskning. Studien begränsar sig till svenska bolag på OMXS30 under tidsperioden 2003 -- 2014.Med stöd av vår modell visar vår analys att styrelsens storlek uppvisar en positiv korrelation med företagets förmåga att generera avkastning på eget kapital.

I takt med globalisering och samhällstrender har det blivit allt viktigare för företagen att ta ett bredare ansvar för sitt agerande. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) innefattar ekonomiskt, legalt, etiskt samt filantropiskt ansvar och innebär för företagen ett arbete som bygger på lagar, egna initiativ och intressenters förväntningar. Att vara bra på något är också att vara bra på att förmedla det, att kunna kommunicera sitt CSR-arbete. Ämnen som transparens, strategi och förmåga att skicka rätt information genom rätt medium till rätt mottagare är vitala. Rapportens avsikt är att beskriva och skapa förståelse för hur ett detaljhandelsföretag kommunicerar sitt CSR-arbete på ett fördelaktigt sätt.

During the Swedish banking crisis in the early 1990?s, the government paid out 65 billion Swedish kronor to save Swedish banks from bankruptcy. In the process, two banks left the private sector to be taken over by the state. This thesis builds on a study from 1998 in seeking to quantify the financial end result for the Swedish government from the subsidies. As a Swedish landscape architecture student living in Australia for five years, I have often wondered if my memories and my associations with the landscape and the nature in Sweden, are the same as other Swedish people living in Melbourne. Most of the Swedish people who live here in Melbourne remember and associate Sweden?s nature and landscape with where they grew up or where they used to live. The plants that most of the Swedish people I asked missed from Sweden were associated to special feelings or activities. The general type of landscape people remember from Sweden is that of a landscape covered in forests, which you can walk freely through. With these memories as a foundation and with inspiration from the Swedish landscape architect Thorbjörn Anderson?s way of creating places, by letting a few strong changes play against the existing elements,2 but also with consideration of the climate and the severe shortage of water that is current in Melbourne, will I create a design concept for the garden surrounding the Swedish Church in Melbourne. The term CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) is frequently discussed today. Many large companies work actively with CSR related questions. However, few empirical studies exist on what this work entails and why it is undertaken. Instead, most of the academic research focuses on what the term itself should mean. This essay deals with Swedish unemployment politics during the period 1918-1932, and can be seen as a contribution to earlier research of how the policies, established by the State Unemployment Commission, was carried out at a local level. This study bears upon  Uddevalla municipality, a town in the southwestern part of Sweden, which had about 13,700 inhabitants in 1920.The research was conducted in Uddevalla municipality archives, and the sources used are above all municipal records and documents from the local unemployment committee. The measures taken by the local committee to reduce the effects of unemployment have then been compared with the directives of the State Unemployment Commission.The survey shows that the local unemployment committee, at least during the first half of the 1920s, was very keen to follow the directives of the State Unemployment Commission, and they also tried to charge the municipality's economy as little as possible. The local policy was often even more restrictive than the demands from the State Unemployment Commission. During a few years in the middle of the 1920s, when the unemployment was relatively low, most of the unemployed did not recieve any help at all.The restrictive policy, however, led to an increasing distress among the unemployed, and the poor relief had to give financial help to a lot of unemployed and their families.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the international diversification of portfolio investments of institutional investors in Japan, the US and the UK and deepen into international diversification in portfolios of Japanese institutional investors. Demarcations: Institutional investors can use their power directly in companies or indirectly through capital markets.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), företegets sociala ansvar saknar en universell definition. Det är upp till varje individ och företag att själva välja definition och ansvarsområde. Allt flera företag väljer att kommunicera sitt sociala ansvar genom CSR- rapporter även kallade hållbarhetsrapporter. Det teoretiska ramverket visar att företag som agerar på en oetisk marknad har en tendens att offentliggöra sitt CSR- arbete i högre grad än etiska företag. Syftet med denna studie är observera om det finns en skillnad i kommunikationen av CSR-arbete mellan etiska företag och företag som agerar på en oetisk bransch.

In 2007 Swedish Meats, the dominant Swedish meat-producers cooperative sold its slaughtering and processing industry. The goal of a producer cooperative structure is to create value for members through vertical integration, and to strengthen members? market position. When Swedish Meats sold the slaughtering and processing components, it ceased in some respects to serve the function of a cooperative. This is a lost opportunity for both members and non-members, because Swedish Meats as a functioning cooperative could have exploited its dominant market position to positively effect producer?s prices.

In school there are many pupils with Swedish as their second language and these pupils often have less basic condition compared with pupils with Swedish as their mother tongue and the most common root cause is lack of language knowledge, also the time spent in Sweden matters.I have trough questionnaires and literature studies investigated if there, for pupils with Swedish as their second language, is an easier way to figure out how to read and write in Swedish using fiction literature as learning material compared with ordinary ways.In the questionnaires that I performed participated a number of teachers that teach Swedish as a second language. These teachers all work in schools with a big share of pupils with Swedish as a second language.I also tried to evaluate if there was a difference between teachers with a graduation in Swedish as second language compared with these who don?t have a graduate but still work with these pupils.The result shows that I discovered that only the graduated teachers have used fiction literature as a learning material in the daily work and have experienced good results from the pupils, they also knew why they used fiction literarture for reading and writing training.As a teacher it is very important to have the knowledge regarding children that have Swedish as a second language, to be able to support them in a correct way.Despite the pupil can?t speak or read the new language, it has feelings and knowledge about the circumstances that they can?t express.The teachers mission is to knew and have understanding for these circumstances.Keywords: Pupils with Swedish as second language, learning to read and write, fiction literarture, school..

Bakgrund: Numera engagerar sig allt fler företag i sociala och miljömässiga frågor då det förekommer ett krav från intressenter om att företag ska ta sådant ansvar. Fler företag involverar verksamheten i aktiviteter som berör Corporate social responsibility (CSR), för att tillfredsställa externa intressenter och uppnå en fördelaktigare position hos verksamhetens intressentgrupper.Problemdiskussion: Det förekommer en uppfattning om att företag enbart involverar verksamheten i frågor kring CSR i syfte att endast främja den egna verksamheten. Forskare menar att CSR aktiviteter inom ett företag kan ha en god inverkan på varumärket medan en del anser att effekten av dessa inte är uppenbara och tydliga.Frågeställning: Hur inkorporerat är CSR i Coops affärsidé och hur implementeras dessa hållbarhetsstrategier på butiksnivå?Syfte: Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur ett företag i Sverige arbetar med Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Vidare är syftet att undersöka hur företagets strategier inom CSR stärkt varumärket samt hur har resultatet av deras hållbarhetsstrategier gjort detta.Metod: Denna uppsats har utgått ifrån en kvalitativ ansats för att undersöka företaget Coop, där tillvägagångssättet delvis varit intervjuer med konsumenter och butikschefer samt företagets hållbarhetschef.
