This empirical work and base has been to analyze the government?s investigation (SOU 2008:27): the future road ? a reformed high school, which led to the high school reform that the Swedish government introduced as proposition (2008/09:199) about: Higher demand and quality within the high school. Skolverket (part of the Swedish government) has worked with the development of this steering document within their own mission Gy2011 in connection with the high schools during the transition. The reform comes into effect 1 of July 2011. This led to the main purpose to ask questions what high school principals and teachers think of the reform and to what extent it effects the high school programs, the examination system, what impact they see on the individual and the demand from society, and to some extent what the respondent´s answers about the government?s definition of what the higher demand and quality in the reform signify.

I denna uppsats undersöker författarna orsaker till och konsekvenser av beställar- utförarmodellernas införande genom att undersöka tre landsting och deras styrmodeller. Den teoretiska utgångspunkten hämtas från diskursanalysen, med bas i Laclau, Mouffes och Faircloughs diskursteori, samt principal- agentteorin. Med dessa verktyg utkristalliseras de element som kringgärdar beställar- utförarmodellen och intervjuresultat används för att se hur stort genomslag dessa har fått i undersökta landsting. Resultatet blir en identifikation av demokrati och effektivitet som centrala mål för modellens införande. Alltfler landsting har på senare tid modifierat beställar- utförarmodellen mot en kongruens mellan demokrati och effektivitet.

Uppsatsen behandlar deltidsarbetets betydelse för en ojämställd arbetsdelning.Genom samtalsintervjuer med offentliga aktörer, så som politiker och företrädare för arbetsgivarsidan, har de samband respoendenterna ser mellan deltidsarbete och arbetsdelning kartlagts. Samtliga identifierar deltidsfrågan som en av arbetsmarknadens viktigaste. Respondenterna ser samband mellan deltid och obetalt hemarbete samt att organisering av lönearbete präglas av manliga normer. Av resultatet framgår också att Sverige tagit ut en ny kurs i jämställdhetsarbetet som präglas av en borgerlig diskurs..

The purpose of the present study has been to explore if there is an agreement between people about what to call real country music. Three Swedish people who are interested in country music have described this music by means of interviews. The interviews have been analysed and compared with literature dealing with country music, and the result of the study presents three conceptions: authenticity, simplicity and contextual comprehension. The conclusion is that there seems to be some common views about what real country music is but that these conceptions are not defined in exactly the same way by different people..

The arguments put forward in support of how stages are organised have been studied, likewise whether municipalities have acted rationally when making their decisions.Six municipalities are included in the survey. They were divided into three educational categories: lower, middle and high level schools; previous and recent schools and F9 schools with pre-schools and primary schools integrated.Minutes from politicians' and civil servants' meetings have been studied and categorised according to arguments for and against. The most common supportive arguments are about economy and organisation, others concern school premises, trends and the wish for a comprehensive compulsory school.

The division of Electricity at Uppsala University runs a project called Lysekil project, they have designed a buoy that uses the waves to create electric power from a generator attached to the bottom of the sea.Uppsala University is closely connected with the company Seabased and the university makes use of their facilities in Lysekil. When they designed the buoy issues occurred, the geometric design was flawed, brackets with a short shelf life and it is generally uneconomic.A study visit was done in Lysekil on Seabased facility. With this visit the project started, which is to improve the design of the buoy and the attachment of wires leading to the generator. In this project we have chosen to use a beam system with three beams that are attached to the buoy. Then a wire attached to a plate that sits between the beams will be leading to the generator. Two proposals for construction are created, what distinguishes them are the brackets between the beams and the buoy.From these constructions, the design that is considered most optimal for our project is chosen.All parts of the buoy have been modeled and the drawings are designed in ProEngineer software.The two constructions are compared with each other, but the whole focus is on the second and final structure. The report begins with an introduction describing Lysekil project, and a task description of our project.The project aims to produce an optimal buoy that will be easy to design, materials restrictive with good durability and an economical solution.Wave power true function has been studied, mechanical and finite element analysis of beams, buoy and plate design.This has been presented in this report, where in the various chapters can read more about the processes. Vår utgångspunkt är att de attityder som finns gentemot jämställdhetsarbete på en arbetsplats i hög grad bestämmer hur väl arbetet fungerar. Syftet med uppsatsen är således att undersöka attityderna i offentliga organisationer för att se möjligheter och svårigheter i arbetet med att nå jämställdhet. Studien tar sin teoretiska utgångspunkt i demokratiteori och alla människors lika värde, vilket motiverar det feministiska projektet genom att se jämställdhet som en demokratisk rättighet. Feministisk organisationsteori lägger grunden för studiens analys. För att ta reda på attityderna har vi genomfört en enkätundersökning inom skola och polis då vi menar att dessa institutioner har ett viktigt demokratiskt ansvar.

We have interviewed twelve children between the age of eleven and thirteen years old. The children have either immigrated (adopted children are included) or are born in Sweden but have at least one parent who has immigrated.The outcome from our study is that immigrant children have a positive experience of their daily life in school and in their interactions with their teachers. The majority of children state that they view their teachers as good educationalists.

This thesis examines the power of developing countries within the World Trade Organization (WTO). The research question is if there is a change in the power relations between developing countries and developed countries from the establishment of the WTO in 1995 and until mid 2006, and if so, why this change is taking place? The thesis has its theoretical starting-point within regime theory and views it from a critical theoretical perspective. A multidimensional why of dealing with the concept of power is being used to answer if there is a change in the power relations? The conclusion is that there is a small change in the power relations and that the developing countries are gaining more, but limited power.

Syftet med arbetet är att beskriva kunskapsledningspraktikers definition av kunskapsdelning och hur de värderar det. Två artiklar innehållande sammanlagt 7 personers uttalanden analyseras. En huvudsaklig kunskapsledningsdiskurs har hittats, även en vetenskapsdiskurs och en marknadsdiskurs har hittats som verkar påverka kunskapsledningspraktikernas definition och värdering av kunskapsdelning.Kunskapsdelning framstår från resultaten att definieras som naturligt existerande i alla organisationer med någon social interaktion, men att det krävs näring och styrning för att öka värdet för organisationen..

I samarbete med Veidekke Skåne har vi gjort en studie om företagets internkommunikation. Veidekke Skåne har sitt huvudkontor i Lund och ingår i den norska byggkoncernen Veidekke ASA. Företaget har funnits i Skåne i fem år och växer hela tiden. Vår intention har varit att kartlägga intern- kommunikationen och ta reda på hur den fungerar. Vi har också velat belysa på vilket sätt villkoren ändras för internkommunikationen när företaget expanderar.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to understand how librarians develop their reference service. The purpose was to find patterns in how librarians work with reference questions. As a theoretical framework we have used research in the reference field. Where do the skills of the search process come from: education or experience? Answers were sought to the following questions: - How different are the search process in practice compared to theory? - Which similarities and differences are there among the informants? - How important was the education in comparison to the knowledge about the libraries collections? - How did the changes in the school system in 1993 influence reference education and what could the consequences be to the reference knowledge among librarians? We sent out a question form and a search question which was answered by 12 librarians in university and university college libraries.

Med hjälp av diskursanalys och en konstruktivistisk syn på identitet analyserar vi Bushadministrationens uttalanden efter 9/11. Vår utgångspunkt är att identitet är föränderlig och att den politiska diskursen skapar den nationella identiteten. Av vår analys framgår det tydligt att de amerikanska värdena och myterna lyfts fram i diskursen, samtidigt som en onyanserad beskrivning av fienden hjälper till att stärka den amerikanska identiteten. Världen målas upp som antingen svart eller vit, och det är USA:s, frihetens främsta boning på jorden, uppgift att försvara allt som är gott i världen.Diskursanalysen tillför en viktig aspekt till analysen - maktfrågan. Makten ligger framförallt i att denna diskurs totalt dominerar och därför försvårar alternativa tolkningar av världen.

An increasing number of scholarly publishers are beginning to make their journals available electronically. At the same time there is a growing amount of exclusively electronic journals freely accessible on the Internet. These are facts that librarians have to take into consideration.This master's thesis aims to describe the electronic journal and its role in Swedish academic libraries. In a review of current literature about electronic journals, the authors discuss their strengths and weaknesses, and their impact on scholars, publishers and libraries. To investigate the situation in Sweden, a questionnaire was sent out to 43 academic libraries.Questions were raised about the selection and acquisition of electronic journals, access, technology and economy.The results show that almost half of the 35 responding libraries offer electronic journals to their users.
