Environmental problems are accelerating with energy consumption and the release of greenhouse gases as the major issues. This affects landscape planning mostly through environmentally hazardous transportation and heating of buildings. In environmental work, the term "Sustainable development" is often used. This term was coined in the Bruntland report in 1987. A number of frameworks have been developed to clarify the term and to remind the user about relevant aspects of sustainability.

A large part of Sweden?s green, urban landscape is covered by lawns. Approximately 80 000 ha of maintained grass lawns are part of public courtyards, schoolyards, parks, golf courses, sport fields and traffic environments. Beyond this figure, the lawn is also an essential element in most private villa-gardens. Lawns have become a universal phenomenon through the dispersion of landscape aesthetics from the Western world.

The economic development and competitiveness in Europe is heavily dependent on an efficient transport system. Movement of goods and people is essential for a competitive industry and successful trade. As a result of an intensified transport business, consumption of fossil fuels has increased dramatically. As a consequence, there are increased emissions of dangerous greenhouse gases. Transports are often mentioned as an area with high impact on the environment.

This paper is about how transport companies in the future will be able to adapt their activity to an environmentally sustainable development without the effect of negative company economic consequences. Today, the environmental threat is a global problem and knowledge about that effluent of carbon dioxide have a negative impact on the climate is generally known. A transport system that works well is important for Sweden, but the sector has a negative impact on the environment. Regulation and legislation for increased environmental requirements often meets resistance and fear that the work will be hampered by increased costs for environmental work that can lead to an international decrease in competitiveness. The transport companies have outside pressure from the society to do something about the environmental issue, however the companies? customers are not ready to pay a higher price for environmental work.

This study aims to investigate whether or how the tour operator Fritidsresors customers gets affected by their sustainable environmental work and what kinds of effects the work has generated. A secondary data analysis of Fritidsresors website has been made, and an in-depth interview with Fritidsresors sustainability manager. Also a quantitative survey was conducted by fifty respondents, all customers of Fritidsresor. The answers have since been interpreted and processed in accordance with a comparative and phenomenological approach and with an exploratory purpose. Scientific articles have been studied and analyzed in order to generate an explanation for the phenomenon as a research field, and how previous research has looked.

The aim of this essay is to give the reader an idea of how the European agricultural policies have developed, in regard of sustainable development, since Sweden became a member in the union 1995. The main aspect that?s been investigated is the issues regarding sustainable development and how the issues regarding the ecological farming methods have been dealt with. My research questions are:- How has the European environment- and agricultural politics changed since Swedenjoined the union in 1995?- What consequences have the changes had for ecological farming?The answers to the stated questions are that there have been several treaties in the field of environmental development of the agricultural policy, starting with the Maastricht treaty and ends up with the European Action Plan for Organic Food and Farming.

The communicating home concept has been defined byidentifying the dominating communication technologiesto/from and in the homes, the most important customerbehavior and user needs, the dominating products and thedominating actors of the industry.The evaluation of the communicating home industry has beenperformed with a five forces framework analysis and theoriesregarding value migration and value structures of industries. Ithas been concluded that actors of communication technologies,goods and access services will compete fiercely. The barriersof entry will however be high. When it comes to contentservices the situation is completely different. These actors will,to the largest extent, meet lower competition and low barriersof entry.

Bakgrund: Med eskalerande miljöhot är det självklart att alla ska bidra till ett värnande om miljön och en hållbar utveckling.Företag kan, frivilligt, utföra hållbarhetsredovisningar för attlegitimera sig inför sina intressenter. Ett bestyrkande frånoberoende part gör hållbarhetsredovisningen, som liggerutanför traditionell redovisning, mer trovärdig.Syfte: Syftet med fallstudien är att, utifrån en grundmodell och enutvidgad modell inom hållbar utveckling granska tre företags hållbarhetsredovisningar, för att i analys och slutsats urskilja om hållbar utveckling kan uppnås genom hållbarhetsredovisningar.Metod: FallstudieResultat: Med lagar som grund i all redovisning, tillsammans mednormgivande riktlinjer som exempelvis GRI, toppat med företagens vilja att konkurrera och marknadsföra sig via redovisning av miljö- och socialt ansvar, kan resultatet bli att en uppstramning av lagen i nuläget är onödig..

Uppdraget att göra denna studie fick vi av Röda Korsets Behandlingscenter i Skövde och frågor väcktes om hur det kan vara att som flykting komma till ett nytt land och starta om på nytt. Syftet med studien var att söka en fördjupad kunskap om äldre invandrares upplevelser av sin integration i det svenska samhället. Begreppet ?äldre invandrare? syftade på personer födda före 1954 då dessa personer kulturmässigt var de äldre i patientgruppen på RKC. Studien behandlade både män och kvinnor, kategoriserades i olika teman och analyse¬rades därefter ur teoretiska utgångspunkter om identitet och kris.

Berlinmurens fall och Tysklands enande förändrade migrationen till och inom Tyskland. Vår uppsats undersöker hur migrationsströmmarna efter Murens fall ser ut, på vilket sätt de har förändrats, varför dessa minskat och vänt. Uppsatsen byggs på en deskriptiv studie och utgår från den neoklassiska migrationsteorin med närbesläktade teorier för att söka en förklaring. Den största gruppen migranter utgjordes av Spätaussiedler/Aussiedler från främst före detta Sovjetunionen samt Übersiedler från det forna Östtyskland. Migrationen till Tyskland har under tidigare år också karaktäriserats av arbetskraftsmigration och Gästarbetare, vilka hade en uppgång från andra världskriget fram till den ekonomiska krisen år 1973 då migrationen övergick till karaktären av familjeåterförening.

ABSTRAKT En föreställning om vad identitet, tillhörighet och religion för många ungdomar i dagens mångkulturella svenska samhälle har framkallat en nyfikenhet hos oss som har lett till att vi härigenom ville ta reda på mer om hur identitetsförändring kan te sig i samband med migration. Våra egna tankar och funderingar har inspirerat oss till att fördjupa oss ytterligare och belysa dessa frågor. Dels för att detta ämne ligger oss nära personligt ville vi forska och urskilja ifall detta fenomen är likadant hos andra ungdomar eller inte? Våra informanters självbild är beroende av både det förgångna och det framtida. Det förgångna inkluderar deras härkomst, värderingar samt deras kulturella tillhörighet från ursprungslandet.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka den diskurs som följde i svensk media efter migrationsverkets beslut att ge syriska flyktingar permanent uppehållstillstånd.Metoden som vi har utgått ifrån är kritisk diskursanalys och innehållsanalys. Som data har vi valt ut tolv artiklar och två TV-program.Resultatet visar att media äger den makt som gör att de får avgöra hur ett sådant beslut ska presenteras och diskuteras. Resultatet visar även att media använder idag en annorlunda diskurs jämfört med 1980 och 1990 talet.Media kan med sin makt avgöra vem som ska/inte ska uttrycka sig. En ?Vi? och ?De? skapas av media som skiljer mellan den etablerade och den oetablerade i samhället.

With the prospect of future construction on the Skutskär Pulp Mill property, Stora Enso Fine Paper has initiated an investigation of soil contaminants and a risk assessment of these contaminants. A soil and groundwater investigation has therefore been conducted on an open area of about 16 000 square meters, situated between the current wood room and digester house. To be able to integrate this study into an investigation for the whole industrial property, the study has been carried out as a phase 2 study according to the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency?s Methods of Inventories of Contaminated sites (MIFO).The site investigation has involved soil and groundwater sampling, together with the analysis of heavy metals and organic contaminants. The degree of hazard posed by the contaminants, the level of contamination, the potential for migration of the contaminants, as well as the degree to which protection of human health and the environment is required in the area, have been weighed together for an overall risk assessment of the area with regard to human health and the environment.The investigated area was built up by filling in the coastal waters.

The purpose of this study was to obtain an understanding of how the employees at LFV Group Swedish Airports and Air Navigation Services (Luftfartsverket) manage to combine work and family, and put this in relation to the concepts of employer of choice and socially sustainable development. Qualitative interviews were carried out with 23 randomly selected participants at the three largest places of work within the organisation. The results showed that the combination of work and family mostly could be managed but that factors like high workload and feelings of stress affected the participants in a negative way. The main measures facilitating the combination of work and family were shorter working hours and support with domestic chores. LFV can partly be considered an employer of choice when it comes to family friendly benefits but changes could be made for further improvement.

Uppsatsen utgår ifrån att religionsfrihet är en mänsklig rättighet som håller på att få allt mer internationell uppmärksamhet på grund av dess roll i ett demokratiskt samhälle. Genom att ingående beskriva de faktorer som påverkar religionsfrihet och se in på hur religionsfrihet förstås och behandlas ur en statlig synvinkel kan en rimlig förståelse skapas av religionsfrihet för Norden. Syftet med uppsatsen är att öka kunskapen om religionsfrihet för att en nordisk stat bättre ska kunna ta sig an morgondagens utmaningar i form av framförallt ett mera mångkulturellt samhälle. Den nordiska kontexten, en sekulär statsmodell samt en godtagbar religionsfrihetsmodell för framtiden är alla centrala delar i vilka religionsfrihet behandlas.Uppsatsen visar bl.a. på att religion bör ha en naturlig plats i den offentliga sfären samt behovet av att diskutera och fastslå civilsamhällets och religiösa församlingars roll i framtidens Norden beträffande frågor som berör t.ex.
