I?ve chosen a subject that's close to my heart, as a student who has experiences the need of a change in the traditional student living.I've focused my theses on ?nding the key ingredients for improving an individuals time as a student. In a time when students are struggling to ?nd accommodation that ful?lls the need of being close to university, close to social places, adequate size and affordable. This is close to impossible! This is not just a problem in Stockholm but an international dilemma.The heart of my thesis is, how can we create clever ways of student accommodation with emphasis on community and a more sustainable way of living?Only when we start embracing change and by breaking out of our traditional individual living, can we then start to realise and recognise the bene?ts of working, studying and living together.

The study was alsoa imed at highlighting any difficulties teachers might have when dealing with children who arem istreated. In addition, the study examines the impact on teachers and children when thet eachers decide to either report or not report abuse.The main issues addressed by this study are:  Are pre-school and nursery teachers aware of their duty to report suspected child abuse and what are their opinions regarding this duty?How do the teachers claim they behave if obliged to report and what difficulties dothey encounter?In order to find the answer to these questions, qualitative interviews were made with eight pre-school teachers. This thesis concerns how local governments use the concept sustainable development, and what the concept means. The concept of Agenda 21 and local Agenda 21 will also be discussed in this essay, because it's an instrument for local governments to specify their work towards sustainable development. I have interviewed civil servants in leading positions in the municipalities? work with environmental questions and sustainable development. In the choice of method for this thesis, I use the qualitative method and for the interviews I chose the ?semi structure way of interviewing?.This thesis shows that local governments? implementation of sustainable development and Agenda 21 differ between the municipalities.

Studiens problemformulering är: Hur uppfattas Vattenfalls hållbarhetsredovisning av deras svenska affärs- och industrikunder?Syftet med studien var att bidra till en ökad förståelse för vad Vattenfalls affärs- och industrikunder använder hållbarhetsredovisningen till, vad de tycker om den och vilken information de önskar inför framtiden.För att besvara studiens problemformulering användes en kvalitativ ansats som utgångspunkt. Valet att enbart fokusera på ett företags hållbarhetsredovisning och undersöka hur denna uppfattas av deras affärs- och industrikunder resulterade i att studien genomfördes som en fallstudie. Det empiriska materialet samlades in genom telefonintervjuer med respondenter från några av Vattenfalls företagskunder. Empirin består även av kommentarer från potentiella respondenter som inte har haft något intresse av att läsa hållbarhetsredovisningen.En slutsats som kan dras kring användningen av Vattenfalls hållbarhetsredovisning är att den är kopplad till miljörelaterade aspekter och till bolagets elproduktion.

Systemteoretisk kommunikationsmodell.Metod och material: Samtalsintervjuer med nyckelpersoner verksamma inom CSR-kommunikation. Kvantitativ innehållsanalys av 20 börsnoterade bolags hållbarhetsrapporter.Problemställningar: Hur används hållbarhetsrapportering som strategisk kommunikation bland svenska börsnoterade företag? Hur påverkar hållbarhetsrapportering bolagens varumärken? Hur präglar branschtillhörighet och rapportering enligt det internationella ramverket Global reporting initiative, GRI, hållbarhetsrapporteringen?Slutsatser: De studerade bolagen använder hållbarhetsrapportering som strategisk kommunikation för att berätta för aktörer inom och utom organisationen om sitt CSR-arbete.

Our curiosity was awakened when we became aware that many social workers use "mindfulness" methods in their profession. In this study, we used qualitative methodology in our desire to examine and understand why the mindfulness approach, with its roots in eastern philosophy, is becoming established in society at large and, simultaneously, being used in the social work field. We were interested in when and why social workers choose to use mindfulness with their clients. Our prior research has revolved around development and use of methods in social work, and on the human reaction to stress.We conducted seven semi-structured interviews, which incorporated four comprehensive questions:1. Why has the mindfulness method become established in the social work field and in the culture in general?2.

In the 2011th Swedish football league three games were suspended because ofbangers that exploded on the terraces. The first suspended match was played by Syrianska and AIK. We have performed an image analysis of two of Sweden?s biggest newspapers, Aftonbladet and Dagens Nyheter, to see how they reported fromthat incident. The reports from the first incident are important because the mediareporting from the first incident might have determined the attitude of the press and the Swedish football association (SvFF) towards the supporters for the remainder of the season.

ABSTRACTPressure ulcers are a serious health damage that causes great suffering, prolonged hospital stays and increased health care costs. Patients undergoing surgery are at high risk of developing pressure ulcers and it is the operating theatre nurse responsibility to protect against health damage through nursing. There are little research made in the area of perioperative pressure ulcer prevention. In order to investigate perioperative pressure ulcer preventive care measures that are described in the litterature and to answer the question how the operating theater nurse can protect the patient, a pilot study of a systematic literature review was carried out. Data base searches were conducted in PubMed and Cinahl from where ten articles were selected and examined for their quality and content.

The purpose of this study is to propose and formulate quantitative indicators to help measure an aspect of the Environmental Objectives in Swedish legislation: ?A Good Built Environment, Interim Target 2.? The governmental bill 2004/05:150 suggests changes to Interim Target 2: By 2010 built environments of cultural heritage value will be identified and placed under long-term sustainable management. Following the revised formulation regarding sustainable management, indicators should be formulated to measure the fulfilment of sustainable management of built environments of cultural heritage value. An important part of management takes place at the municipal level of planning, where detailed development plans include regulations to protect built environments of substantial cultural heritage value. As a result, this study is focusing upon the regulatory function of the Swedish Planning and Building Act in respect to the built environments of cultural heritage value.

The objective of this study is to examine the sustainability of recovering industrial wasteheat from several heat sources in a foundry constructed in a plant belonging to ITT Waterand Wastewater in Emmaboda, Sweden. A triple bottom line perspective will be appliedto achieve this objective. The triple bottom line approach takes into account ecologicaland social performance in addition to financial performance. The technology forrecovering the waste heat is a Borehole Thermal Energy Storage (BTES) which is aconstruction consisting of 140 vertical boreholes, 150 meters deep with an internal spaceof four meters.The calculated amount of energy for storage is approximately 3800 MWh annually. Ofthis amount 2500 MWh are expected to be utilized, while storage losses accounts for theremaining part.

Det var inte förrän år 2002 som riktlinjer kom, gällande den externa ekonomisk rapportering, för de statligt ägda företagen i Sverige. År 2003 kom uttrycket, hållbar utveckling, att nämnas i regeringsformen och sedan dess har utvecklingen fortsatt. Från att företag har rapporterat sitt arbete kring miljöredovisning, har det nu gått mot att redovisa miljö, etik samt sociala förhållanden, vilka är de olika delarna inom det samlade begreppet för hållbarhetsredovisning. År 2006 uträttade Näringsdepartementet en genomlysning av de svenska statligt ägda företagens hållbarhetsredovisningar. Ur genomlysningen kom sedan, i november 2007, kravet på att de statligt ägda företagen varje år ska upprätta hållbarhetsredovisning, enligt Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI) riktlinjer.

Choosing the right user experience evaluation method can be difficult, choosing the right one for mobile user experience can be even more so. One major cause is that mobile usage is context dependent. Another contributing factor is that there is not one widely adopted theory or framework for user experience due to its complexity.The purpose of this study was to evaluate an existing method artifact in its feasibility for evaluating mobile applications. The chosen method, AttrakDiff2 is a self-reporting semantic differential questionnaire to evaluate the user experience of an interactive product, based on its hedonic and pragmatic qualities.A study was conducted where the participants assessed one mobile and one web application, which were later rated with AttrakDiff2. The completion of the questionnaire was conducted as a think-aloud session subsequently followed by an interview.The results suggest that the participants experience was affected more by the evaluated application style than the different platforms.

This bachelor thesis describes why investors should invest in environmentally certified buildings instead of non certified buildings. The report provides an overview of possible factors influencing an investor in the investment process of an environmentally certified building. The report explains why building companies find incentive to build green buildings and how a cash flow method can be adapted so it can be used in the valuation process of an environmentally certified building. Environmentally certified buildings are used as a strategy to reduce emissions that threaten the environment as well as a strategy to obtain market shares for the building companies. This report focuses on the economic advantages of an environmentally certified building.The construction- and real estate industry stands for approximately 40 percent of the energy consumption in the world.
