The information is also important for the company?s management or owner in order to prevent qualified audit report. Board of directors (the ability to control the owners or management and provide critical resources), the management or owners (incentives to manipulate the annual report) and auditors (the ability to discover and report false financial statements) may have an impact why Swedish private corporations receiving qualified audit reports.  Purpose: The overall purpose is to examine why Swedish Private Corporation receives qualified audit reports.Methodology: In order to fulfill the purpose of our thesis a deductive approach is used.

Chemicals are everywhere in todays society, in humans, animals as well as nature, and they are difficult to avoid. The chemical industry is regarded to be the fastest growing industrial sector, accounting for ten percent of the global economy. A large amount of chemicals are used to produce hygiene products and cosmetics, products that in Sweden only are consumed in quantities of 110 tons per day. Researchers find it increasingly difficult to determine which chemicals that are dangerous and which that are safe, and how they might affect us in the long run. Correlations have been found between chemicals, diseases and other health effects such as cancer, allergies, reproductive and endocrine disorders.

Det är idag uppenbart att miljön måste skyddas för att kunna säkerställa en god livskvalitet även för kommande generationer. I samband med dessa frågor spelar byggsektorn en oerhört central roll, vilken kan hänföras till den betydande miljöpåverkan industrin har på samhällsutvecklingen idag. Byggsektorn, också kallad "40-procents-sektorn" i miljösammanhang, svarar för 40 procent av den totala energi- och materialresursanvändningen i Europa och den nordiska marknaden. Det är därmed tydligt att byggindustrin har en signifikant påverkan på individers livskvalitet och miljö, varför det är av största vikt att sektorn tar ett aktivt ansvar för en hållbar samhällsutveckling. Kunder har konstaterats utgöra en av den viktigaste intressentgruppen, som med dess miljömedvetenhet och kännedom utgör de främsta påverkande faktorerna till den gröna revolutionen.

Since the 1990s, when the number of transnational companies increased, it has created challenges regarding the responsibility of human rights. As a response to these challenges the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) unanimously endorsed the new policy UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGP) in 2011. UNGP does not have the status av international law, yet simply as guidelines and its implementation is based on good will and voluntary efforts. Now, 10 years later, this study aims to get understanding regarding if UNGP is considered as norm by the Swedish Government, Volvo and Gothenburg Municipality. The material of the study consists of sustainability reports, annual reports and governmental documents with focus on human rights in relation to business published between the year of 2011, when UNGP was endorsed, until 2020.

Bakgrund: I Sverige ska de statligt ägda bolagen från och med den första januari 2008, upprätta en hållbarhetsredovisning. Motsvarande skyldighet finns inte för icke-reglerade bolag, dessa kan dock frivilligt välja att presentera hållbarhetsinformation. Institutionell teori menar att organisationer inom en institution efterliknar varandra som ett reslutat av samhällets påtryckningar. Regeringens riktlinjer gällande en obligatorisk hållbarhetsredovisning för statliga bolag skulle på så sätt kunna resultera i en indirekt reglering av de icke-reglerade företagen. De undersökta bolagen i denna studie är det statliga bolaget Vattenfall AB samt de icke-reglerade bolagen E.ON Sverige AB, Tekniska Verken i Linköping AB och Mälarenergi AB.Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka huruvida de fyra undersökningsföretagen kan ha påverkats av Regeringens riktlinjer för en obligatorisk hållbarhetsredovisning för statliga bolag.

This report is a bachelor's thesis of two students from the Energy and Environment degree at KTH Stockholm. Grinda is an island situated Stockholm archipelago. Skärgårdsstiftelsen is landowners and manages the area. Grinda Wärdshus, a guest house located in the island, currently uses an oil-fired boiler as a heating system. The aim of this thesis is to investigate whether wood chips or pellets is, from a sustainability standpoint, a suitable heating method for the guest house.

Purpose: Corporations today see a greater responsibility towards society regarding the environmental impact of their actions, using available transportation options that are more eco-friendly can reduce this impact significantly. Martinsen and Björklund (2012) identifies a set of gaps between supply and demand of green logistics services. This paper aims to address what it is that affects the demand for these alternative solutions and what could be done to increase the usage of them, thereby decreasing this gap.Design/methodology/approach: A quantitative study with six Logistics Service Providers (LSP) and 24 companies that purchase transportation services, all operating in Sweden. Data is collected through semi-structured telephone interviews with people responsible for the purchasing of transports as well as key account managers within the service providing companies.Findings: Just as the LSP?s interviewed in this paper thought, the main focus of the transport buying companies are the costs.

A wish for a higher standard of living has driven the rate of consumption in Sweden. Mainfocus in business is on a higher growth and profitability where some companies use a lowprice strategy to win competitive advantage. The positive consumption pattern spiral is oftendiscussed in media, while criticism is limited and often refers to the environment. In order toreduce our ecological footprint we should consume more sustainably. More and morecompanies implement CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) in their business strategy tobecome more sustainable.

Detta examensarbete är utfört på uppdrag av skogsägarföreningen Norra Skogsägarna (Norra) för att undersöka om innehavet av en uppdaterad skogsbruksplan har något samband med hur stor andel av den produktiva skogsarealen där avverkning och skogsvård årligen sker hos enskilda skogsägare i norra Sverige. Analyserna baserades på enkätsvar, data från skogbruksplaner, uppgifter om utförda avverkningar enligt Norra skogsägarnas verksamhetssystem NOVA, samt offentlig statistik från Skogsstyrelsen och data från Riksskogstaxeringen. Examensarbetet söker besvara sju frågeställningar, tre handlar om den skogliga aktiviteten på privata enskilda fastigheter. och fyra syftar till att analysera Norras skogsbruksplaner med avseende på hur väl de följs och hur virkesförrådet förväntas utvecklas. Data analyserades med hjälp av olika t-test där insamlade data jämfördes med data från Skogsstyrelsens offentliga statistik och data från riksskogstaxeringen. Resultaten visar att skogsägare som investerat i en skogsbruksplan (SBP) utför avverkning/skogsvårdsåtgärder på större andel av sin produktiva areal än de som saknar plan. Den åtgärdade andelen ökar från perioden före till perioden efter att skogsbruksplanen tas emot.

The aim of this thesis is to explore and outline the cataloguing of sound recordings at two main Swedish audiovisual archives, The National Archive of Recorded Sound and Moving Images Statens ljud- och bildarkiv, SLBA and The Grammophone Record Archive of the Swedish Radio Sveriges Radios grammofonarkiv and its data base GAMBA. As non-book, non-printed, material in many ways differs from printed material, the institutions that deal with this kind of material have often developed their own rules for the cataloguing of it. The general codes for cataloguing, AACR2 and KRS, are insufficiently suited for audiovisual material. That is the reason why the IASA Cataloguing Rules, presented in this thesis, have been created. After the presentation of the IASA rules the problems of accounting for important sections of the catalogue record are discussed such as title, statement of respeonsbility, performers, physical description and notes.

Around 85 percent of the total population in Sweden today lives in an urban environment. This means that the nature within the urban areas has come to play an important role for the human well being. At the broader picture, the nature within urban areas is profitable in many ways. It is therefore important for the municipalities around in Sweden to work for sustainability within the urban areas. Linköping adopted an environmental policy, in year 2001, from the delegate of the municipality.

Denna studie undersöker varför svenska finansanalytiker och fondförvaltare inte i så stor utsträckning deltar i International Accounting Standards Boards (IASB:s) standardsättningsprocess. IASB:s syfte är enligt det konceptuella ramverket att i första hand tillgodose de informationsbehov som användare av den finansiella redovisningen har. För att IASB ska kunna förstå användarnas behov anser IASB att det är viktigt att de lyssnar till och beaktar användarnas åsikter. Flera studier visar dock att användare är underrepresenterade i IASB:s standardsättningsprocess.Genom en litteraturgenomgång utvecklas modellen "Förklarande faktorer till lobbying i standardsättningsprocesser" genom att kombinera Vrooms (1964) förväntansteori med Verbas et al. (1995) "The Civic Voluntarism Model" som förklarar passivitet i politiska processer.

I dagens samhälle fortsätter inflyttningen till städer att växa och Stockholmsregionen fortsätter att förtätas. Detta medför att nya stadsdelar måste inkorporeras i redan befintliga. Arenastaden är en ny stadsdel som utvecklas i Solna som är en tätort i Nordvästra Stockholm.Att skapa nya stadsdelar för människan är viktigt för att uppnå en social hållbarhet. Det är även viktigt att ta hänsyn till omgivningens åsikter när nya stadsdelar inkorporeras i redan befintliga. För att uppnå en god stadsutveckling är en viktig faktor att det finns ett fungerade samarbete mellan de inblandade aktörerna.För att undersöka Arenastadens utveckling ur ett stadsplanerings- och samarbetes perspektiv har följande utförts.

In this thesis, a case study of Kungens Kurva in Stockholm is made. The municipality of Huddinge has designated the area, which is an external shopping-center, as one of its key development areas in the future. The municipality has established a future vision for the area, which extends until 2030. The vision claims, inter alia, that Kungens Kurva along with Skärholmen will become a vibrant suburb. How well the values and aims of the vision are met in the current area situation is discussed in the case study by a number of analysis that carries out the existing structures and characters of the area.

Auditing has long existed and it was in 1899 that the first Swedish organization for accountants SRS, Swedish Audit Society, was created and in 1923 that FAR, Association of Chartered Accountants, was formed. It was after the Kreuger crash in the 1930s that authorized auditors had their breakthrough. After the crash the accounting profession has endured fierce criticism when the audit was flawed and it was during this period that authorized auditors became more widespread, the concept was developed independently and the importance of auditor independence became evident.We have in our paper therefore chosen to focus on auditor independence and to make that it requires the independence to relate to something. Therefore we have chosen to focus on the interaction between the auditor and the client. To explain what independence means we have used the analysis model, the expectation gap and communication, and explain what the audit entails and what tasks the auditor has.
