Today, individual indoor stalls and individual outdoor paddocks are the most common way to house horses in Sweden. The way that we manage, house and feed the horses are not optimal for the species natural basic behavioural needs. However, the awareness of this grows in the context of research and the emergence of alternative housing systems. One of the alternatives to the traditional format in individual boxes is called group housing. Group housing systems allow horses to live in herds and they can choose how they want to distribute the hours of the day between movement, resting and foraging. The purpose of this study is to examine how frequently the young horses in a group housing system use the indoor lying area.

The demand of civil right for the employer that is rented out confronts the entire labour law regulation with new challenges.The purpose with this paper is an investigation of the principle of equal treatment in The Swedish temporary agency work act and also to create a deeper understanding of the effects of labour and employment relationship. An investigation of relevant collective agreements will be done to highlight the difficulties the principal of equal treatment is exposed to. Further on is there a will to gain understanding for the wage concept and what possible can be included in the wage concept in relation to the principal of equal treatment in The temporary agency work directive. By using the dogmatic method, an approach to descriptive identifying relevant sources of law and clarify the legal situation in the area.In the conclusions it will be determined that the principle of equal treatment in The Swedish temporary agency work act have different effects depending on if the temporary agency or if the client corporation is tied to an collective agreement alternative if a collective agreement is completely missing.

Agricultural drainage ditches are links between fields, lakes and oceans, having the potential to transport e.g. sediment and nutrients. When in a good condition, drainage ditches can act as sinks for e.g. phosphorus and sediments and prevent eutrophication downstream. The aim of this study was to determine the condition of one agricultural drainage ditch and to come up with suggestions for appropriate measures. The aim was also to determine which of the ditch?s properties that were possible to evaluate visually, which processes they represented as well as which properties required complementary physical analysis. This in order to contribute to the work of developing a method for determining the status/condition of agricultural drainage ditches.

Idag lever 65 % av världens befolkning i länder där övervikt och fetma dödar fler människor än vad undervikt gör. I Sverige har fetman fördubblats sedan 1980 och idag lider ungefär varannan man och var tredje kvinna av övervikt eller fetma. Svenska studier visar även att ungefär vart femte barn är överviktigt och ett barn av tjugofem lider av fetma. Dagligen kan vi läsa i tidningar och se på tv hur människor kan göra för att gå ner i vikt, även hälsokampanjer och diverse hälsoupplysningar blir allt vanligare. Dock verkar inte detta tillräckligt för att hjälpa människor till en lyckad och långvarig livsstilsförändring.

This thesis has been performed as a part of the Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering and Management at the School of Engineering in Jönköping. The thesis is written on behalf of Pallco AB, which is an engineering company that performs subcontracting, surface treatment, and assembly of components, mainly in steel and aluminium. The thesis focuses on identifying and analyzing the customer order fulfillment process of three customers at Pallco AB.The main objective of the thesis is to distinguish time differences in the company?s administrative work for each of the three customers. Furthermore, Lean thinking is following as a thread through the whole thesis.

I de svenska djurskyddsföreskrifterna anges 1,5 × mankhöjden som lägsta takhöjd i häststall. Det har ifrågasatts om takhöjden påverkar djurets miljö så mycket att föreskriften skall tillämpas strikt även i befintliga stall. Motivet till föreskriften är att hästen skall kunna stå i normal ställning och inte slå i taket om den kastar upp huvudet men också för att ventilationen ska fungera på ett bra sätt. Inga objektiva data har hittats i litteraturen om hur takhöjden påverkar hästens möjlighet att stå i normal ställning eller att lägre takhöjd än den föreskrivna påverkar risken att slå i taket. Varför takhöjden skulle vara viktig för att ventilationen ska fungera på ett bra sätt är oklart. För att djurskyddskontrollerna skulle bli mer likvärdiga fick länsstyrelserna ansvaret för djurskyddskontrollerna 2009.

För att optimera sin teknik i olika kastgrenar använder idrottsmän på elitnivå idag mätningar med höghastighetskameror. Kamerautrustningen är dyr och svår att frakta. Utvärdering av det filmade materialet görs till stor del för hand. För att förenkla mätningarna fanns en ide om ett system som baserar sig på givare monterade inne i kastredskapet. Visionen är att bygga ett kastredskap som kan registrera sina egna rörelser under ett kast.

Today the human being see energy as a matter of course but the resources that is used for extract energy is today not enough for the world demand. Of all the energy that is used in Sweden today approximately 40 % goes to the building stock. This number will most likely increase if not necessary actions will be made on the already existing building stock since new houses constantly are built which will be added up on the already existing energy supply. This takes cause of action on the already existing building stocks, to fulfill the demands of the future use of energy that has been set by the authority. At the same time the thermal conditions cannot be influenced by the necessary changes that must be made.

Syftet med denna studie var dels att undersöka användning av symptomfrågeformulär vid bedömning av ögontorrhet, dels att titta närmare på vilken metod och/eller vilka kombinationer av tester svenska optiker föredrar för bedömning av ögontorrhet.Metoder: Två olika typer av symptomfrågeformulär, den ena publicerad av The Canadian Dry Eye Epidemiology Society (CANDEES) och den andra med hjälp av Ocular Surface Disease Index (OSDI), översattes till svenska och distribuerades slumpmässigt bland patienter från en optikerpraktik i Kalmar. Dessutom har en webbaserad enkät skickats till 800 optiker för att undersöka deras förstahandsval av test för utvärdering av ögontorrhet. Deras andra, tredje och respektive fjärde val har också noterats, liksom eventuella ytterligare kommentarer.Resultat: Åttiofem patienter svarade på åtminstone ett av frågeformulären, varav 34% (17/50) CANDEES och 32,7% (16/49) OSDI respondenter uppgav att de hade milda till svåra symptom på torra ögon. Av de 800 e-postmeddelanden som skickades ut, svarade bara 64 (8%) optiker. Symptomfrågeformulär används oftast som enda testdiagnostik (42,2%).

Background: IT-security is included in the concept of information security, which considers all the security of handling information within an organisation. Good IT-security is about finding the right level of measurement, however, it is hard to implemement new IT-solutions in an organisation, particularly within the health care field, where sensitive information are handled daily. Lately the Swedish government, together with county- and city council, understand the importance of IT and health care. Carelink, an organisation of interest, is working actively for the presumption of benefit by using IT within the health care field. During spring 2006 the Swedish government introduced a national IT-strategy.

To distribute goods to customers in urban areas is necessary to support the economic and social development in the cities, but has consequences that affect both residents of cities as well as the environment. The environmental effects of these types of transport involves not only the emissions of various pollutants, but also an increased noise level inside the cities. Many companies and organizations are working hard to change the distribution pattern to streamline transport in the urban area, while environmental impact is reduced. This is in line with what is called the City Logistics. The purpose of this thesis is to create a method for describing and measuring a given transport solution in order to compare it with an altered transport solution to achieve a more sustainable development.

Aim and research questionsThe aim of the study was to examine pupils? physical activity on schoolyards in northern Stockholm?s surrounding municipalities, based on the schoolyards? design regarding supply of spaces, material, equipment and gender. The research questions were:1. Was there any association between how well spaces, materials and equipment were represented in the schoolyards and pupils? physical activity during recess? If so, how did the association come to expression?2.

Since the 1990?s the Swedish school system has undergone major and recurring structural reforms. Two of the most comprehensive changes has been the shift of primary schools as an integral part of the welfare state to the responsibility of the municipalities as well as the introduction of free school choice for the students. Through two months of participant observations and semi-structured interviews this thesis seeks to answer the question of how these reforms has come to effect the work of teachers in a medium sized public school in a small municipality in the outskirts of Stockholm. Earlier research has shown that public schools in socio-economically vulnerable areas are disadvantaged due to the reformation of the school system (Beach & Sernhede, 2011; Östh, Andersson, & Malmberg, 2013).

Network RTK is a real-time technique for accurate positioning with Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). The technology means the use of correction data from a network of GNSS receivers with known positions (reference stations) to reduce the uncertainty in position for the user´s GNSS receiver (rover). However, this requires that the correction data can be transferred seamlessly to the user in real time. Commonly the corrections are transferred via mobile phones. The Swedish National Land Survey operates a nationwide Network RTK service, where users can receive correction data via GSM or mobile Internet (GPRS).

Problem The culture sector is characterized by qualitative goals which raise questions such as how do you measure culture and what is ?good? culture? Both the goals and the measurements tend to result in subjective judgments, which according to the theory make result control inefficient. Yet, result control is frequently used in the culture sector; which leads up to our research question: What characterizes the problems of result control in the culture sector?Purpose The aim of this study is to make a survey of how the Gothenburg Opera works with result control and follow-up. By defining how it tackles the different problems, which could arise with result control in a non-profit organisation, we aim to map how the problems regarding result control are characterized in the Gothenburg Opera.
