Debatten om svenska matpriser har varit en stark motor för den utveckling av dagligvaruhandeln som konsumenterna möter idag. Extrem lågpriskonkurrens, en ökad andel av detaljisters egna varumärken i butik samt en hög koncentration av detaljistledet, är några av de effekter som delvis kan förklaras av allmänhetens krav på sänkta matpriser. Vi har noterat att ledande varumärken såsom Kellogg?s och Gillette, uteslutits från detaljisternas sortiment som ett resultat av misslyckade förhandlingar rörande inköpspris. Detta kan även ses som ett tecken på att den en gång så starke leverantören har fått reducerad förhandlingsstyrka.

Syfte: Vårt syfte är att undersöka och försöka säkerställa ett statistiskt signifikant samband mellan volatilitet och avkastning i olika regioner samt globalt. Metod: För att hypotespröva vårt syfte har linjära regressioner med 5 % signifikansnivå utförts, där nollhypotes lyder att det inte finns ett linjärt samband, medan mothypotesen lyder tvärtom. Regressionsanalys har genomförts med hjälp av en databas, som vi skapade själva, samt med dataprogrammet E-views. Teori: Eftersom vi har valt att skriva om risk och avkastning, ansåg vi det vara rimligt att använda oss av portföljvalsteorin, samt att titta på olika typer av risk som en investerare utsätts för när den placerar sitt kapital i värdepapper. Vi går igenom begrepp som avkastning, standardavvikelse, kovarians, korrelation, beta-värde och CAPM.

Every year, thousands tons of edible food are discarded by the grocery stores. This is food that could have gone to people that?s in need of it. In many countries, so called food banks are established in order to supply welfare organizations with this kind of food. Today there is no equivalent system existing in Sweden.

Today's global market means that raw materials are sought and bought from all over the world. This creates an higher demand for a well-functioning supply chain. In our thesis we have studied a large paper mill in northen Sweden which experiences issues with flow of raw material. Our aim has hence been to examine which aspects affect the flow of raw materials to the mill, and how these can be adressed using an IT-system. The question we sought to answer was; What factors are important to consider and how do these affect the ability of an IT-system which will support the flow of raw material at the paper mill? We have found that the problems are strongly connected to the low amount of information sharing between the mill and the suppliers.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka uppfattningar om risk inom mödrahälsovården. Den behandlar hur barnmorskor och deras patienter uppfattar risk i samband med och runt en graviditet och hur de hanterar denna. En av metoderna för att hantera risk är fosterdiagnostik, vilket syftar till att finna riskgraviditeter. Fokus har främst varit på barnmorskor med frågeställningar kring hur de informerar om risk och fosterdiagnostik, hur de ger råd och hur de uppfattar den inverkan detta har på deras patienter och hur dessa reagerar..

Abstract Over the years the consciousness of risk has grown. It?s hard to influence risks, therefore there are guidelines stating that significant risk must be included in the annual report. This paper is a case study; the purpose was to examine how four Swedish listed companies chose to disclose their internal and external risks. Risk is initially described in general sense and then it figures to what constitutes an economic risk.Through a case study of four Swedish listed companies? annual reports we have, through qualitative methods found how the companies chose to disclosure their risks.

Företag och övriga intresserade kan med hjälp av denna studie få en ökad förståelse av kunden och vilka faktorer som är viktiga vid handel av kläder på Internet. Vi har valt att göra en kvantitativ undersökning, där slumpmässigt valda respondenter fått fylla i en enkät. Vi har främst tittat på teorier kring faktorer som påverkar kunden vid köp på Internet. Empirin består av en sammanställning av 100 besvarade enkäter.

The market for fashion and interior consists of a large amount of retail chains, which together creates high competition. To be able to compete and to be the most obvious choice for the customers, retailers must review their activities that exist in the company and improve them. This concerns store chains since it is so important that the stores communicate the retailers strategy and it is very critical because of the impact that the stores have on the communication with customers. It is after all in the stores that the buying decision is made. With this information, it is important to strive for uniformity through the chain and especially the stores.

In this paper I study how the repeal of the Swedish wealth tax (1 of January 2007) has affected people´s labour supply behaviour. This particular issue is relevant because it may help us understand some of the effects of the earnings tax changes that have taken place in Sweden. Accoring to standard economic theory a repealed wealth tax is similar to an income effect for the persons who previously paid the tax. That means that they theoretically will want to consume more leisure, that is decrease their labour supply. The method I am using to test this hypothesis is a difference-in-difference approach where the treatment group consists of persons who previously paid the tax and the control group of comparable persons who did not pay the tax.

This master thesis investigates how the county administrative boards communicate the regional risk and vulnerability analyses to municipalities in Sweden. Information has been gathered through a survey and through a case study involving three county administrative boards. The results revealed that there are possibilities to improve or develop the communication in all the county administrative boards. The information channels are often written or web based, these channels promote one way communication rather than a dialog. The thesis gives suggestion on how to work out a strategy for a more effective communication, the case study also gives ideas on how a county administrative board can work with communication..

The purpose of this study is to propose and formulate quantitative indicators to help measure an aspect of the Environmental Objectives in Swedish legislation: ?A Good Built Environment, Interim Target 2.? The governmental bill 2004/05:150 suggests changes to Interim Target 2: By 2010 built environments of cultural heritage value will be identified and placed under long-term sustainable management. Following the revised formulation regarding sustainable management, indicators should be formulated to measure the fulfilment of sustainable management of built environments of cultural heritage value. An important part of management takes place at the municipal level of planning, where detailed development plans include regulations to protect built environments of substantial cultural heritage value. As a result, this study is focusing upon the regulatory function of the Swedish Planning and Building Act in respect to the built environments of cultural heritage value.

The purpose of this thesis is to explain how IT-players? entrance in the mobile handset industry affects the industry in regards of key success factors and value chain structure. This study has used dynamic theories to describe the mobile handset industry. The theories have helped us in understanding the characteristics and drivers of the industry and thereafter to identify the key success factors.
