This study deals with the Adventure Comic Prince Valiant, written and designed by the Canadian artist Harold R. Foster. Focus is on the first two years of publication 1937-1938, where the hero is pictured in his Adolescence. This gives the title of the study: Youth. Earlier writings in the USA on this topic, have concentrated on the artist and less on analyses of the comic itself.

Syfte Vi har för avsikt att öka förståelsen för hur valet av återhämtningstillskott styrs av konsumentens beteende och analysera i vilken grad olika faktorer påverkar detta val. Vår förhoppning är att denna insikt skall kunna bidra till att minska det informationsbehov som företag i denna bransch ställs inför där de idag kan ha bristfällig information. Metod För att besvara de frågeställningar som uppkommit under problemdiskussionen har vi använt oss av både primär och sekundär data. Vi har utgått från den sekundärdata vi insamlat för att få en teoretisk bas att stå på. Den primärdata vi insamlat baserar på kvalitativa djupintervjuer och samtal med sakkunniga.

Syftet med detta arbete har varit att undersöka hur virkesflödet från Region Iggesund varierar under året och belysa orsakerna till detta samt att beräkna transportkostnader och analysera vilka distrikt som skulle kunna ha störst nytta av virkesfordon med Central Tyre Inflation (CTI) eller Super Singel hjul, alternativt hjulsystem som kombinerar de båda teknikerna. Utgångspunkten har varit rationell virkesförsörjning från skog till industri, med så låga virkeslager och transportkostnader som möjligt. Region Iggesund anskaffade 1,9 miljoner fastkubikmeter (m3fub) virke 2011, varav 45 % kom från egen skog och 55 % kom från lokala köp. Huvuddelen levererades till Iggesunds Bruk, Iggesunds Såg och Hallsta Pappersbruk. Regionen är uppdelat i sex distrikt, med Uppland i söder, Sveg i nordväst och Hudiksvall i öster. Däremellan ligger Bollnäs, Delsbo och Ljusdal.

Denna studie ville undersöka om en viss bild i det perceptgenetiska testet DMTm (Defense Mechanism Technique modified) kan vara på väg att bli omodern. Flickan i bild K1 (som visas för kvinnor) skulle idag kunna misstas för en pojke. En design med två beroende grupper på 30 män i varje användes. This report describes the development of a well?functioning and aesthetically appealing web portal and associated database for a company called Svensk Kredit & Försäkringsförmedling AB (Translated: Swedish Credit & Insurance intermediation AB). The portal will test customers' creditworthiness through another company called Business Check in Sweden AB.Administrators to the web portal have a special user interface to display all customers, to disburse the money to the customer and edit customer information. A super?user interface is available for administrators where they can change the information on all administrator accounts.Many aspects of security has been addressed because the web portal will handle personal information.

Denna rapport beskriver utvecklingen av ett textbaserat webbspel från idé till en fungerande produkt. Den förser läsaren med en översikt av speldesignern, beskriver några av teknikerna som använts och diskuterar några av de viktigare lösningarna lite mer på djupet. Målet med projektet har varit att utveckla ett textbaserat webbspel som utgår från grunderna i ett sports management spel blandat med fantasyinslag. Tekniker som använts under projektet är framförallt PHP (scriptning) och MySQL (databas) för att skapa en dynamisk webbsida som använder XHTML för strukturen och CSS för presentationen. Manliness in four Japanese samurai moviesThis thesis deals with the samurai and his portrayal in Japanese historic movies and what kind of messages he conveys in form of masculinity to theater audiences. Four movies were chosen, two from the 1960s and two from the 2010s. The reasoning behind this was to look at two eras of samurai movies and if possible try to see differences between them. The history of the samurai, being a man and woman in modern Japan, R.W Connell and famous Japanese authors from different time eras acted as tools to try to answer the questions in hand.

The purpose of the study is to examine how the teachers in second grade use SMART Board and compare two schools.The process I used was qualitative interviews and classrooms observations. Previous studies shows how widely SMART Board is used in classrooms, and this has also been shown in my study. The study shows how differently SMART Board is used in the classrooms, and how important education in the technology of SMART Board is to achieve in the classroom. Concrete is one of the world?s most common construction materials and is composed of 70-80 % stone material. Today crushed stone is used as aggregate in concrete in order to replace natural aggregates due to strong environmental reasons. Stone crushing yields flaky material and in this thesis studies are made on the flaky particle shape and how it influence properties of concrete such as workability, rheology and strength. The concrete recipes used in this thesis have fixed values, the only variable is the flakiness of the crushed stone.

In today?s society there is an increasing demand for renewable energy sources such as sun and wind power. These sources are intermittent, and energy storage is therefore needed to ensure a constant power supply. This report compares pumped hydro energy storage (PHES), compressed air energy storage (CAES), flywheels, batteries, super magnetic energy storage (SMES) and hydrogen energy storage.The opportunities for further development are limited for PHES and CAES in comparison with the other technologies. Lithium-ion batteries and hydrogen energy storage are considered to have the most potential in the future.
