This thesis is an attempt to study whether if problem-oriented teaching implies a moreadvanced use of school libraries than other teaching methods.Teachers have been interviewed about what kind of information they and their pupils need,and where they find their information. Another question is whether the problem-orientedteaching method makes it easier for the pupils to find information in school libraries thanother teaching methods do.The result of the study is that a problem-oriented teaching method creates opportunitiesfor the school library to become an important place for information retrieval. This teachingmethod is a major, but not the only determinal factor. Other contributing factors could beteamwork between teachers and school librarians and the existence of learning aids..

This thesis is an attempt to study computer games and playful computer programs for childrenand youth at Swedish public libraries. The main method used, is qualitative interviews.The main reason the libraries in the study offer computer games and playful computer programsto their users, is that every member of the society shall have opportunity to use newtechnology such as computers and computer programs. The users of this media are for themost part boys. The librarians in our study wish to have pedagogical games and programswithout violent themes at their libraries. Inom vården kan sjuksköterskan möta patienter med suicidalt beteende, vilket kan upplevas påfrestande och väcka starka känslor hos sjuksköterskan. Det kan även finnas en rädsla och en osäkerhet hos sjuksköterskan till patienter med suicidalt beteende, detta kan leda till att sjuksköterskan nonchalerar de suicidala patienterna. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att belysa sjuksköterskans attityd till patienter med suicidalt beteende. Litteraturstudien genomfördes genom att 5 kvalitativa och 10 kvantitativa artiklar granskades. Det framkom två kategorier, den fördömande attityden samt den tillåtande attityden.

Föreliggande studies syfte var att undersöka validitet och intern konsistens för den svenska översättningen av Impaired control scale (ICS), en självskattningsskala som mäter grad av kontroll av alkoholkonsumtion. ICS består av subskalorna; Attempt control (AC), Failed control (FC) samt Predicted control (PC). Svar på ICS sammanställdes från respondenter (n = 203) som behandlats för alkoholproblem vid mottagningar i Västra Götaland. Faktoranalysen visade en bakomliggande faktor för AC, och två faktorer för FC respektive PC. Den interna konsistensen var god.

Bakgrund: Suicid är den vanligaste dödsorsaken i Sverige för män mellan 25-44 år och kvinnor mellan 20-39 år. Vid ett suicid kan så många som 25 närstående beröras. År 2007 begicks 1126 konstaterade suicid vilket kan resultera i över 25 000 berörda i Sverige detta år Syftet: Syftet var att beskriva upplevelser av och vad som påverkar sorgearbetet för närstående efter ett suicid. Metod: En allmän litteraturstudie genomfördes genom sökning av kvantitativa och kvalitativa artiklar. Sammanlagt nio stycken artiklar granskades och analyserades.

Bakgrund: Självmord är ett existentiellt problem och varje självmordshandling är ett rop på hjälp. Det är drygt en miljon människor, som begår självmord varje år över hela världen, men det är tio gånger fler som försöker ta sitt liv. Uppskattningsvis dör 1500 personer varje år till följd av självmord i Sverige. En del av dessa personer har varit i kontakt med vården under sin sista månad i livet på grund av självmordsproblematik. Syftet: Att beskriva sjuksköterskans preventionsåtgärder i omvårdnaden av personer med självmordsrisk.Metod: En litteraturstudie som baseras på 11 vetenskapliga artiklar som består av både kvantitativa och kvalitativa studier.

The dog has played an important and significant role for mankind throughout history. It's no coincidence that they are known as "Man's best friend". Traditional tasks that the dog has performed include hunting, herding and guarding. In modern times its role has adapted to perform complex tasks in a great number of new areas which many people are not aware of or thinking about. My aim with this report is to attempt to chart as many different ways of using dogs as possible, in order to make society conscious of the great benefits the dog can offer society. .

The report aims to show how outdoor environments have been shaped with the purpose of experiencing them from the inside of buildings, through an overview perspective. Two Danish gardens are used as examples. One is the Baroque garden in the garden of Frederiksborg castle in Hillerød. The Baroque garden is thus a part of a larger garden. The second garden is the Charlotte Garden, a relatively newly constructed garden within a housing complex in Østerbro in Copenhagen. Both gardens are analyzed on the basis of visual expression and structure. In the report, it is also discussed how the contemporary society have evoked the different ways of shaping the gardens.

 Background: Self-injury can be defined as deliberate harm one's own body without conscious intent to commit suicide. These patients need skilled care. Purpose: Illuminate nursing staff attitudes and treatment of patients with self-injury behaviour for individuals diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. Method: A general literature study has been made. Based on the objective was a literature search in various databases with ten relevant articles were selected and reviewed.

The aim of this essay is to answer the question of how, and in what ways Martina Bigert?s and Maria Thulin?s picture Allt om min buske (literally, All about my bush) is queer. Inspired by Judith Butler?s idea of the heterosexual matrix, and Michel Foucault?s discourse I attempt to investigate how sex and sexuality are described in relation to heteronormativity, and if Allt om min buske is either norm-breaking or norm-creating in a wider perspective. This study concludes that antinormativity and queerness are evident within the framework of the picture.

My intention with this study is to evaluate, as a singer and a voice teacher, a number of routines for daily vocal practice through practical application. Seven different routines are presented, five of them originating from interviews with Swedish vocal teachers and singers and two chosen from literature. These routines are then tried out and evaluated. Using the results of these evaluations as a basis, I make an attempt at formulating my own personal practice routine, optimal for my own needs. I will also try to address motivational issues related to practice with hints acquired through the interviews.

Bakgrund: Suicid är ett folkhälsoproblem och i Sverige suiciderar cirka 1400 människor varje år. Sorgen efter en närståendes suicid leder till en kris och ett lidande för de anhöriga. Sjuksköterskans roll i den vårdande relationen blir att bekräfta dessa känslor och upplevelser hos den anhöriga. Syfte: Beskriva anhörigas upplevelser om hur lidandet kan lindras i sorgen efter en närståendes suicid. Metod: Studien är en kvalitativ analys av berättelser där tre självbiografier, tre antologier samt en rapport analyserades utifrån ett omvårdnadsperspektiv.

This thesis revolves around my work Desirable Objects, an installation in glass and other materials, which deals with objectification based on female and animal trophies. The topics included are those that have been crucial to my working process; craft, post-colonial studies and European hierarchical dualism, where woman and nature are seen as connected, but inferior. My motivation has been to get a better understanding of underlying power structures, and put this knowledge in relation to my own work. This process has led me to make a full body casting of my own body as a method of self-exploitation, in an attempt to expose myself to a similar power perspective. By making the dualistic connection between woman and nature, I am commenting a phenomenon that in my view has resulted in a similar exploitation of both..

Sammanfattning: I detta arbete har jag undersökt det långtråkiga och den vardagliga flykten från det. Min inställning till det långtråkiga i detta sammanhang är att det innehåller något gåtfullt och intressant. Undersökningen utgår från intryck från tre olika miljöer: köpcentrat, torget och sammanträdet. Intrycken har antecknats enligt den metod George Perec använt i Ett försök att uttömma en plats i Paris. Med utgångspunkt i intrycken från dessa platser har jag tillverkat tre halssmycken.
