En (o)balans av berättelser : En kvantitativ studie om mångkulturell litteraturundervisning i gymnasieskolans svenskämne
The purpose of this essay is to examine what literary heritage teachers communicate in the school subject Swedish at upper secondary school. The overall research question for this work is: Which authors and/or works are mentioned by the teachers in the school subject Swedish at upper secondary school? How well do these authors and/or works answer towards a multicultural perspective? Which factors affect teachers´ selections of texts? Based on this purpose and these research questions, the aim is to answer the didactic question of what.To accomplish the purpose of the study a quantitative method has been used. The survey was conducted in two medium-sized cities in central Sweden, and was answered by 17 teachers. The study shows that the teachers ascribe the Western and Swedish literature great importance.
Matematiska arbetsmetoder : En kvalitativ undersökning om undervisningsmetoder i förhållande till nationella matematikprov
The purpose of this study is to provide a description of how mathematics teachers in grades 3 choose to work with mathematics and how it affects of student performance in national tests. The categories I will use are outdoor education, textbooks, learning materials and problem solving. Laboratory materials can be everyday materials and educational materials in which pupils have an abstract understanding of the subject. This survey was conducted through interviews and observations. The survey was also conducted in relation to student performance in national math tests.

Skolans organisering och pedagogiska arbete med svenska som andraspråk : ur ett lärarperspektiv
Research has shown that students with another mother tongue than Swedish terminate elementary school with lower grades in all subjects, compared to students having Swedish as a mother tongue. This fact justifies further research on the forms of teaching Swedish as a second language. Attention has been given to the fact that the students with another mother tongue than Swedish have to cope with "dual learning". Parallel to the learning of a second language they need to obtain knowledge in all other subjects. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how the School organise the work with students having another mother tongue than Swedish, and to find out how teachers in other subjects solve the problem of having students that struggle with "dual learning".
Om miljövär(l)den : En kritisk diskursanalytisk studie av miljöetik i styrdokument, förlagsläroböcker och sponsrade läromedel
The urgency of sustanible development is world-over issue. This essay focuses on the relations of enviromental ethics in the context of the Swedish upper secondary school and the subject of geography, by analysing different educational texts.The purpose of this essay is to reveal and identify discourses of enviromental ethics in curriculum documents; Lgr 11 and the plan- and the coursedocuments for the subject of geography, in educational publisher?s textbooks and in sponsored texts related to the subject of geography and finally to discuss potential consequences this might implicate for education. For this have the methodology of Norman Fairclough´s critical discourse theory, CDA, as well as a matrix of environmental ethics, based upon Mikael Stenmarks classifications of enviromental ethics, been used.In the Cirriculum, Lgr 11 and documents for the subject of Geography, and in the educational textbooks from ?Liber? and ?Gleerups?, are the environmental ethics of intergenerational anthropocentrism the dominant.
Folkbiblioteket ? en plats för integration
The purpose of this thesis is to research public librarians view ofthe public library as a meeting place and how it may contribute tofacilitate social integration. To study this we have asked thefollowing research questions: How do public librarians work withthe public library as a meeting place? And how do they contributeconditions for ?soft inclusion??The method we have used for this study is semi-structuredinterviews. Seven public librarians from the Gothenburg areawere interviewed and the empirical material was analyzed usingqualitative content analysis.As a theoretical foundation we have used Dorte Skot-Hansensmodel of the public library as a third place and Mikael Stigendalstheory on social inclusion. Furthermore have we used research onthe public library as a meeting place and social integration as acomplement to the model and the theory.Conclusions from the material gathered is that public librarianssee the public library as a meeting place with potential tocontribute to integrating individuals and groups with one another.The librarians? foremost method was to attract visitors withactivities aimed at certain target groups.
Estetiskt skapande främjar människan : En undersökning om några estetiska arbetmetoders effekter på kvinnor med invandrarbakgrund
Vi har i denna studie undersökt om estetiska arbetsmetoder fungerar som ett sätt att främja socialisation och integration samt stärka självkänsla och identitet. Som en teoretisk bakgrund har vi skrivit om vad olika forskare och lärare samt läroplanerna anser om estetiska arbetsmetoder och vilka effekter dessa har för människor. Vi har därefter tagit upp ämnena socialisation och identitet ur olika synvinklar. I resultatdelen har vi beskrivit några olika projekt som arbetar med estetiska arbetsmetoder för människor med rötter i andra länder och kulturer. Förutom att studera litteratur har vi genomfört observationer och intervjuer på några olika projekt och föreningar som arbetar med integration på olika sätt.

Företag använder sig av olika informationssystem, och allt oftare av molntjänster anpassade för enskilda affärsområden. Möjligheten att använda sig av olika leverantörer för olika moduler ställer högre krav på integration. Ett produktionssystem måste kunna kommunicera med företagets faktureringssystem. Vattenavvisning och smutsavvisning är två egenskaper hos textila produkter som idag eftertraktas av konsumenter. En ämnesgrupp som är direkt relaterad till ovan nämnda egenskaper är fluorkarboner. Ibland förs fluorkarboner på en redan färdigtillverkad textilvara genom impregnering, laminering eller beläggning. Polymeren PTFE, polytetrafluoreten, används inom textil beläggning och som huvudkomponent i membran för att skydda textiler från vatten och smuts. Syftet med detta arbete var att undersöka om någon effekt av vatten- och smutsavvisning kan uppvisas vid integration av PTFE-fiber i polyester- eller viskosgarn.

With this paper the aim is to find out whether there are any differences in how five students from the north part of Africa structures their tales in comparison with the Nordic tale "The emperor?s new clothes". The purpose is to look at how the genre pedagogy can be said to relate to these differences. What happens to the "deviant" structures?Based on literature and research on the subject, I have concluded that there are certain patterns of how a tale "should" be structured based on Western standards.

Drömmen om en sammanhållen stad - diskurs kring integration i projekten H+ och Hyllie
Boendesegregationen i våra svenska städer är ett problem som ökar. Den fysiska
planeringen är en faktor som påverkar hur väl stadsdelar är fysiskt integrerade
med varandra. Olika planeringsideal leder till skilda typer av fysiska
strukturer, och i stadsbyggnadsprojekt finns idag visioner om att koppla samman
fysiskt och socialt segregerade stadsdelar med den nya strukturen. Målet är att
bidra till en ökad integration, såväl fysiskt som socialt. Syftet med arbetet
har varit att studera två sådana aktuella projekt, H+ i Helsingborg och Hyllie
i Malmö, för att se vilka fysiska strukturer och arbetssätt som förordas och
vad de ser för möjligheter och begränsningar att genomföra visionerna.
En diskursanalys med visionsdokument och intervjuer med projektdeltagare som
grund genomfördes, för att se på vilket sätt det talas om att den fysiska
planeringen kan bidra till integration.

This thesis is a study about wether first year students in Swedish senior high schools understand the learning intentions and the matter of the subject of history specified in GY 11 introduced in July 2011. The overall question that this master tries to answer is: Do the students understand what and why they are studying history? Three classes studying the first history course in the new system answered a survey regarding five of the specified learning intentions for the course and their overall opinion of grades and level of knowledge and intentions. By measuring the level of understanding and the students? general opinion the conclusion is following.
Eva och lagen - En studie av bibliska syner på kvinnor utifrån skapelseberättelsen i Gen 2-3 och lagar i Gamla testamentet
The purpose of this C-essay within the subject of religion is to form a notion as to how the attitudes towards women and their position in a theoretical biblical society might have been perceived, based upon a select number of texts from the first five books of the Bible (the Pentateuch).Since this essay was written under the framework of the teacher education programme, it is also integrated with the pedagogy subject. This manifests itself with the didactic reflection at the end of this essay, where I try to relate the subject of this essay to the teaching profession.The material, which consists of excerpts from the first and second chapters of Genesis, and aselection of the laws in the first five books of the Bible (from Genesis to Deuteronomy), wasanalysed according to an ideological model, where themes and patterns have been more important than specific word choices.The analysis showed that the views on women vary depending on who writes and who interprets a specific text extract, and the conclusion was that since laws reflect the society it is likely that they were created to improve women's status to make it as equal to the man's as possible.The didactic reflection offers suggestions for lesson plans on the themes gender, feminism andfeministic theology..
