Sverige blir alltmer mångkulturellt. I dagens samhälle finns det många individer och grupper av olika härkomst. Detta har lett till många diskussioner kring integration samt konflikter mellan olika folkgrupper. Vad kan dessa konflikter mellan de olika folkgrupperna innebära för individernas identitetsskapande? Och hur kan vissa av dessa individers identitet och livsvillkor formas under en integrationsprocess?Denna antologi kommer att behandla identitet ur ett etnicitetsperspektiv.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att få en bild av och förståelseför hur ideella föreningar kan bidra till integration. Detta har skett genom enfallstudie av två olika organisationer och deras verksamhet. Metoden somanvänts är kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer med personal från dessaorganisationer kompletterat med deltagande observation. Analysen har gjortsutifrån Jose Alberto Diaz integrationsteori. Resultaten visar att de ideellaorganisationerna bidrar till integration på flera sätt, främst genomspråkundervisning som fyller en särskild funktion då den till stor del riktasmot grupper som inte kan ta del av kommunens undervisning via SFI.

This thesis is based on thirteen qualitative interviews with civil servants and politicians. The purpose of the study is to research these informants? attitudes towards integration and their reflections about immigrants? lower chances in an ethnically segregated housing and labour market. The theoretical frame of references is based on social constructionism and focuses on including and excluding power structures. The empirical material provides both structural and cultural explanations to immigrants? problems as regards inclusion in Swedish society.

Integration is a concept that is very topical in today's multicultural-cultural society. Integration means that everyone should have the same rights, opportunities and obligations to society, regardless of extraction. What counteract integration is segregation, which implies a distinction between different groups and where there exist an inequality between them. Segregation is widespread in Sweden today and the exclusion that it creates needs to be broken. The aim of this paper is to examine if it is possible to promote integra-tion through physical planning.

This essay is a discourse analysis of the integration politics of the different parties in the Swedish parliament and the non-parliamentary party ?the Swedish Democrats?, as it is presented on their respective web pages. The overall purpose is to problematize and shed a light on how the current discourse(s) about integration are constituted. Also of interest is how these construct our knowledge and experience of the phenomena. We furthermore want to illustrate the social consequences of such discourses on the construction and organization of identities and groups, and, as a result, the courses of action that becomes available.

The purpose of this Masters thesis is to compare classification codes and feature headings of three different universal classification schemes SAB, UDC and DDC, when classifying archaeological literature. The aim is to determine whether a subject analysis of a title generates similar feature headings in the three systems, and to find positive and negative things about each system from an archaeological point of view. The comparison and the analysis of the 22 chosen archaeological monographs showed that the subject analysis of the titles didnt always generate similar feature headings. This could depend on several things, for example different interpretations of the subject analysis of a document, less knowledge about the system and/or the subject, or the fact that its not the same classifier that creates the codes. The study also showed that the different classification systems did treat the subject archaeology a bit differently, and that its difficult to say that one of them is better for classifying archaeological literature.

Syfte - Syftet med studien är att presentera exempel på vad integration kan innebära för människor som har olika perspektiv (stadsdelsförvaltare, projektledare och målgruppen) på integrationsåtgärder i betydelsen att det antingen arbetar med integrationsåtgärder eller utgör målgrupp för åtgärderna. Målet med uppsatsen är att belysa problemet kring begreppet integration i utvalda stadsdelar (Rosengård, Fosie och Södra Innerstaden) med utgångspunkt i arbete och utbildning. Metod - I vår C-uppsats har vi valt en forskningsstrategi med kvalitativ och induktiv inriktning bestående av fallstudier som forskningsdesign. Med kvalitativ och induktiv inriktning menar vi att vi har lagt stor fokus på ord vid insamling av data och analys, samt att vi har genererat teorier utifrån vårt forskningsresultat. Våra data har gått ut på både öppna och semistrukturerade intervjuer baserad på en intervjuguide. Resultat - Studiens resultat visar att integration tolkas olika beroende på var man befinner sig i och vilken position man har i samhället. I vår undersökning bland våra respondenter som jobbade som stadsförvaltare respektive projektledare, tolkades begreppet integration på ett likvärdigt sätt.

Hur påverkas skapandet och omskapandet av identiteter i en ny kulturell miljö? Vilka faktorer är det som spelar in? I denna antologi har vi grävt djupare i dessa frågor genom att genomföra varsitt fältarbete. Med hjälp av observationer och intervjuer fick vi ta del av människors erfarenheter av att befinna sig i en kulturell minoritet. I uppsatsens första individuella del undersöker Louise Olofsson hur svenskar som väljer att flytta utomlands i vuxen ålder integreras i det nya samhället och hur detta påverkar den identitetsskapande processen. Therése Andersson riktar in sig på hur skönhetsidealen i ett samhälle kan vara en bidragande faktor i integration och identitetsskapande. Vi avslutar med en gemensam diskussion kring sambandet mellan etnicitet, identitet och integration..

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att utifrån ett ledningsperspektiv analysera ett företagsförvärv som betecknats som framgångsrikt för att utröna dels hur det förvärvande företagets motiv och mål bidrog till att förvärvet blev framgångsrikt och dels vilken betydelse de i tidigare forskning identifierade framgångsfaktorerna hade för att förvärvet lyckades. En fallstudie genomfördes för att besvara syftet. I fallstudien genomfördes en granskning av företagsintern information samt två intervjuer. Intervjumallarna konstruerades utifrån den teoretiska referensramen som presenteras i uppsatsen. De empiriska resultaten visade att det förvärvande företagets långsiktiga motiv och mål förenklade integrationen, samt att de identifierade framgångsfaktorerna i olika grad hade betydelse för en lyckad integration.

The main purpose of this essay was to find out how members of Narcotics Anonymous and professionals within the socila service departments define integration of drug addicts, and ascertain how they experience their parts in the integration process. We have wanted to examine which factors that are essential for the earlier drogabuser in his rehabilitation to the ordinary world.We wanted to find out as much as possible of the integration aspect. That´s the reason for our choice to do qualitative interviews with both people from the social service department and Narcotics Anonymous. We also obtained material from relevant litterature. In our analysis, we have started from three theoretical basis.

This essay deals with how the development of society, the media society in particular, has an impact on the teaching of the subject of art. In the society of today, we are bombarded with more images than ever before. As an effect of this, the curriculum of 2011 emphasises the importance of the ability to orientate oneself in the modern society. Furthermore, it describes art not only as a practical subject, but also as a verbal and community-orientated subject. Because of sparse and dated research, the subject of art is in danger of marginalization as a school subject. The purpose of this study is to illustrate art teachers? conception of the aim of the subject of art.

I denna studie behandlas olika teorier kring barn och ungdomars sociala utveckling och lärande i integration med djur. Vidare exemplifierar studien hur detta arbete med djur kan bedrivas. Undersökningen innefattar också vad högskoleutbildade pedagoger i förskolan och skolan har för attityder kring att integrera djur i den pedagogiska verksamheten. För att ta reda på detta har vi använt oss av fältstudier baserade på observationer, protokoll, intervjuer, och samtal.. I denna studie har även en enkätundersökning genomförts i syfte att ta reda på attityder kring integration mellan barn/ungdomar och djur.

The aim of the study was to evaluate the social integration amongst newly arrived students in the two different school systems Sweden welcomes them into. The first school system takes in newly arrived students into preparation classes whilst the other integrates the students directly into ordinary classrooms. The examination is based on qualitative observations in the classroom, canteen, and playground, and interviews with teachers and a select few students from each school system.The result of the study showed that newly arrived students in ordinary classes are socially integrated more into the school than the newly arrived students that are welcomed into a preparation class. Newly arrived students are offered a larger chance of being integrated into the school environment if they are introduced directly into an ordinary class. In preparation classes, social integration is narrowed down to between the classmates.

AimThe aim of the study is to examine how future teachers of Physical Education view the subject, the occupation and their attitudes about the future and create an understanding about this through these research questions:In what way do the teacher students justify the subject Physical Education?How do teacher students view the future of the subject and the occupation?According to the teacher students, what and whom affect the subject? Is there a difference between the teacher students?views and attitudes depending on if they are currently in their second or last year of their education?MethodThis study use qualitative methods in order to create a deeper understanding for the participants? views and attitudes. Eight teacher students of Physical Education were interviewed. The interviews were between 27-57 minutes. They were recorded, transcribed and then analyzed from a socio-cultural perspective as well as Bernstein?s theory of classification.ResultThe participants justify the subject in words such as that it gives the students? knowledge about how to uphold a decent standard of living and an understanding for the correlation between physical activity, nutrition, health and wellbeing.

In Adult Education-Restaurant students often have a negative attitude towards the subject of math. Often mathematics is associated with what experiences the students had of this subject in elementary school - experiences that many times reduce the motivation for the same that is so frequent in the catering industry, in different contexts. Mathematics more or less unconsciously permeates restaurant profession at large, and as a chef you must realize the importance of mathematics in your daily work in the kitchen. The purpose of the work is to develop the mathematics lesson weight and volume by planning and designing more stimulating lessons accommodated in the kitchen - combining calculation problems with the work in a real kitchen environment. The aim is to help increase the students? motivation for and understanding of the importance of mathematics in the kitchen work. An action-oriented research method was used where students in a survey were asked to answer questions about their previous experiences with mathematics and how they themselves thought that motivating lessons on mathematics in cooking should be designed. The survey revealed that the majority of the students thought that the mathematics lessons weight and volume preferably should take place in the kitchen.
