En kvalitativ studie har genomförts på tre kampanjbilder från IQ-initiativets satsning ?IQ Student?. Kampanjbilderna har ett motsvarande tema baserat på att det alltid finns en anledning till att dricka alkohol. Studien har med hjälp av fokusgruppsintervjuer och en intervju med IQ tagit reda på hur IQ vill att Studenterna ska tolka bilderna och hur Studenterna faktiskt tolkar dem. Studien utgick från teorier som receptionsstudie, semiotik och socialpsykologi.

The aim of this study is to analyze the justification of a financial incentive that rewards Students who rapidly finish their studies within the language education ?Swedish for immigrants? (sfi). Thereby, we want to see what assumptions are made about the Students, and relate this to experiences of the education at a local level. We applied a text analysis on a government bill about the incentive, which showed that the deficiencies in the education are said to be caused by the Students? lack of effort.

Sjuksköterskeyrket är ett mångdimensionellt och komplext yrke. Utbildningen och inskolningsperioden ska förbereda sjuksköterskan inför mötet med den nya rollen, dock upplever nyutexaminerade sjuksköterskor sig sällan förberedda inför den nya yrkesrollen. Svårigheter uppstår därmed under transitionen. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att belysa hur nyutexaminerade sjuksköterskor upplever yrkesrollen och transitionen från Student till sjuksköterska de första sex månaderna i yrket. Litteraturstudien baserades på fjorton vetenskapliga artiklar som granskades och analyserades.

The aim of this study was to examine the knowledge and the experience that school counsellors have about tics and Tourette syndrome. This study is based on a qualitative research which we conducted with semi-structured interviews. We have done five interviews with different school counsellors in a small municipality in southern Sweden. The theoretical approach that was used in this study was theory of knowledge as a comprehensive theory and professional competence which includes formal knowledge and tacit knowledge. Some of the study?s conclusions are that the School Counsellors had different professional competence about tics and Tourette syndrome.

It is important that the language in textbooks for foreign language learners reflects the language that the learners would encounter in real life. For this reason, the presence of the thousand most common nouns in two Swedish textbooks in Spanish for upper secondary school is observed in this study. Furthermore, this study aims to examine how these nouns occur in order to determine if their pattern of occurence favours the learning and consolidation of words. The main materials that have been used are A Frequency Dictionary of Spanish by Davies (2006) and the word search program available in the digital versions of the textbooks. The results show that the presence of the thousand most common Spanish nouns does reflect the frequency information presented in the frequency dictionary but not all thousand nouns are included.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of educational and vocational guidance, refer-only high school Students tend to stay on their first selected program or to change the program. The theories used in the study deals with young people's choices and choosing education and vocational and life role as a Student. The method was quantitative, descriptive survey. High school Students in grades three, from two high schools, were asked to answer a questionnaire about perceived educational and vocational guidance. Convenience sample consisted of 162 respondents (N = 162), 86 women and 76 men.

The main aim was to investigate the provenance of Viking age antler material findings of moose and red deer from Sigtuna and from three sites on the island of Gotland in the Baltic sea. This was done by analysis of the stable isotopes of carbon, nitrogen and sulphur. Thre were never any living population of these mammals on Gotland during the Viking age.?34S-values of sulphur from this study was compared with earlier research and by studying maps of the Swedish bedrock. The ?34S-values were more like the ?34S-value for bedrock other than European granite.

Sjuksköterskor kommer i hälso- och sjukvårdsarbete i kontakt med framtida föräldrar och skulle, om de hade kunskap, kunna informera om faktorer som påverkar fertiliteten hos kvinnor och män. Syftet med studien var att undersöka vad sjuksköterskeStudenter kunde om kvinnans och mannens fertilitet innan sjuksköterskeutbildningens kurs om detta samt om kunskapen i fertilitet utvecklades under utbildningen. För att göra det fick en klass sjuksköterskestuderanden på en högskola i Mellansverige vid två tillfällen svara på en enkät som handlade om fertilitet. Det var 49 studeranden med en medelålder på 30,5 år som svarade på enkäten både före samt efter genomgången kurs där gynekologi ingick. Huvudresultatet visade att andelen som sades ha inhämtat sin kunskap om fertilitet från sjuksköterskeutbildningen ökade till 30 % från 4 %.

The purpose of this study is to investigate university Students, studying social work, attitudes against the drug policies, zero tolerance and harm reduction. This was done by quantitative survey utilizing questioners targeting Students in semester one to four at Stockholm University, Department of Social Work. The study included 295 Students responding to the questioners. The results have been analyzed utilizing theories regarding attitudes and their influence of different social aspects; social influences, social norms and conformity. The result of this study shows that the Students prefer the drug policy of harm reduction over zero tolerance.

Background: In small animal healthcare fluid therapy is an important area. To get an adequate treatment there are several factors that may play important roles in this matter. One of these factors is the correct use of the administration technique. Aim: The aim was to investigate how correct the amount of prescribed fluid was given when different people set up a fluid administration set. Method: An experimental study was performed to compare two different infusion techniques.

The Student union of Karlstad University is always working for the better for the Students, so they can feel safe and that their time at the university is trouble free. To get the Students to sign up for a membership, the organization have to inform the Students about their work and the benefits that a membership brings. The problem is that the target audience is broadbecause there are all Students at Karlstad University that are of different sexes, ages and nationalities, this can cause problems when the information must be adapted to each individual in order to make it interesting. The organizations various work areas have not reached the entire audience and therefore requires an information film in which all the areas can be presented in an attractive way that makes it easy for the audience to absorb the information. A strong trend in the world of information films are the so called infographics.

The aim of this Master's thesis is to investigate the library needs of distance Students. This user study has a Student perspective and concentrates on the main question of which way library needs might be expressed by distance Students. Associated topics addressed by this study include; the problem of learning centres lacking their own library support, how distance Students look upon library support as a concept and whether distance Students prefer public libraries or university libraries, and why they make this choice. These questions may give the answer to how distance Students deal with information literacy. Theories chosen by the study are in the fields of pedagogical and library science, the social cultural theory by Roger Säljö and in Tom Wilson's theories on user studies and information needs.

In this thesis, we are concerned with the many different professional roles that a public librarian, working at a small library, has. More specifically, the purpose is to find out which different roles that librarians believe they have, and which view they have upon those. Furthermore, we are exploring the tendencies that librarians discuss in relation to these professional roles. To pursue this goal, we have used the methodology of focus group interviews, with the unconventional twist that our interviews were done using web chats. This may have the advantage that the informants may present more honest views than when using ordinary interviews due to the anonymous character of chatting.
