"Det är ju här allting händer liksom" : En intervjustudie om killars och tjejers syn på skolan?
AbstractThis examination project studies two groups of Students, who are in the last year of the mandatory school attendance in Sweden (15 years old and in school year nine), their views and thoughts about the Swedish school. The purpose of this study is to examine how the Students in the study thinks about the role that the Swedish school have, and should have in the society, and how, and if the fostering mission that the Swedish school have, has any implication on the Student?s opinions. I have also studied if the Student?s trusts the Swedish school.I have made my study on interviews with two groups of Students, one with four boys and one with four girls.

Early intervention is important on different levels and must be justified as a social and economic long-term investment. There is no doubt about the importance of early detection when helping children/Students in need of support. What kind of support that is deemed suitable and who provides the support can be viewed from different perspectives and with different approaches. Seen from a relational perspective the special education process is a long-term process and affects not only the individual but the whole school culture and systems may need changing. This study intends to describe the importance of the learning environment and what efforts are initiated early for Students in need of support from the special education point of view.
Språkinlärning och Språkutveckling : I en förberedelseklass i högstadiet
Then the language learning process and the approach in a preparatory class differs itself from a general class. The methods conducted in a preparatory class are not just focused on teaching as in a more traditional method. Achieving the objectives in a preparatory class depends on the individual Student and the cohesion in the group. Students have different backgrounds and knowledge level, therefore it is extremely important that the teachers use different work methods in order to achieve and to promote the Students' language development. The aim with this survey is to get the knowledge about what education methods is being used by teachers in a preparatory class.
BARA MATEMATIK? : En empirisk studie om matematiksvårigheter och dess orsaker
SvenskaDetta är en kvalitativ studie som är baserad på semistrukturerade intervjuer. Syftet med detta arbete är att ta reda på hur två matematiklärare och en specialpedagog ser på/beskriver matematiksvårigheter och hur de arbetar med elevernas matematiksvårigheter som de upptäcker hos sina elever. Jag är väldigt intresserad av att höra vilka matematiksvårigheter och orsaker till matematiksvårigheter lärarna ser hos sina elever samt lära mig hur skolan och lärarna jobbar med dessa svårigheter hos eleverna. Samtliga informanter hade samma svar på mina forskningsfrågor. I resultaten av hela min studie har jag kommit fram till att orsaker till elevernas matematiksvårigheter bland annat är: dåliga baskunskaper, låga baskunskaper förståelse av positionssystem samt begrepp.

This essay investigates how teacher sees and uses mainstream movies as a teaching method. The main question approached is: How does teachers use feature films as a teaching method? Which movies are used and how does their working methods surrounding the movies look like? The purpose of the essay is to make the reader reflect over what influence mainstream media has over the historic knowledge of the Students and how teachers use that for educational purposes. The business around historical film has grown over the years and is now a million dollar industry. The conclusion is that teachers mostly use feature films to provoke emotional reactions from the Students.
Individualiserad matematikundervisning : en kvalitativ studie om lärares arbete med individualisering i förhållande till högpresterande elever
The purspose of this study is to investigate how teachers are working to individualize mathemathics education relative to high-performing Students and how they define the therm individualization. According to the Swedish curriculum the teaching process should be based on the Students prevoius knowledge and experiences. The teachers should in their preperation take every Student in to consideration. To be able to investigate these subjets I prepared following questions:What does the concept of individualization in mathematics mean for the teachers?What does it mean to work with an individualized mathematics teaching?How does teachers individualizes teaching mathematics relative to high performing Students?This study is based on a qualitative method with both interviews and observations.

The purpose of our essay is to investigate the role of the practice period under supervision from a skilled practioner as a part of the Student?s development of knowledge. This essay?s main participants are Students who are studying their sixth semester during the spring 2009 at the bachelor program of social work at the University of Gothenburg and active skilled practioners during the autumn of 2008 and spring 2009. The essay has primarily a qualitative approach.

This study examines journalism Student?s information use atSödertörn University during the writing process of theirbachelor thesis. The Students are divided in two groupsfollowing the schools main bachelor programs majoring injournalism.The method used in this study has been a reference analysisof the Student?s bibliographies along with five semistructuredinterviews. The study stems upon a socioculturalperspective and drives the thesis that information use is asituated activity.

The aim of this qualitative respondent investigation is to delve into the various views that teachers have concerning the ?One-to-One project?, as well as the use of computers as an aid in teaching. One-to-One means that teachers and Students will be equipped with a laptop they can use at home and at school.This essay looks at how several factors have changed as a result of this. These factors are threefold: the role of the teacher, the teaching experience, and the Student´s learning process. In order to answer the mentioned questions, four interviews have been conducted at two different high schools in southern Norrland.
Att engagera sig eller att inte engagera sig : En studie om vilka informationskanaler och motivationsfaktorer som påverkar studenters val gällande föreningsengagemang
Both authors of this study have been involved in the School of Business at Umeå University Student Association (HHUS) and is due this discovery deficiencies and problems within the association. The pressure to engage in HHUS is compared with other financial organizations around the country very low. This led us to consider why this is the case. From experience we know that communication between the association and its members are not functioning optimally. Communication itself is essential for motivating Students and for that motivation should be high for the Students to experience good quality on the engagement. The purpose of this study is to identify lines of communication and motivational factors that affect Students who are members of HHUS to get involved or not.
Matematisk problemlösning i grupp
This study illuminates one part of the mathematic teaching in school, which is mathematical problem solving in groups. It examines teacher?s and Student?s ideas about what conditions it takes to be able to learn in groups. Further on, it studies the importance of group structure when it comes to working with mathematical problem solving in groups from a process focused and/or a product focused learning. Through observations of Student groups and interviews with the Students and the mathematic teachers, the material has been compiled and analysed under three different headings: conditions for learning in a mathematical problem solving situation, importance of group structure in a mathematical problem solving situation and process versus product.
"Det är svårt att gå i två klasser samtidigt" : En studie om nyanlända elever i den svenska skolan
The essay aims to highlight the newly arrived immigrant Students? experience of social integration and social security in the Swedish school system, which is important for their further language and learning development. This essay aims to see it from the Student's perspective. The main question in this essay is: What factors seem to matter the most for the newly arrived immigrant Students in their language and learning skills, and what does the Students themselves think about the issue? The study is based on a qualitative research method in the form of interviews and observations conducted in a multicultural school for a period of two weeks.
En skola för alla? : Some teacher?s perspective on intercultural pedagogic
Purpose: The purpose with the essay is to examine how some teacher?s works with intercultural questions, if they are looking after Student?s cultural background, earlier experiences and knowledge?s in their teaching. We have formulated three questions whom we want answer to.Method: The essay began with a theoretical research to get more knowledge of intercultural pedagogic. The study part is based on seven interviews in two schools in Södertälje, five with teachers and two with assistant principals. The conclusions of our essay are based on the results of our study.Result: The study shows that the two discourses ?national self-understanding? and ?the democratic credot? still lives and compete with each other.

Introduction: In the past years children in primary school age has become increasingly sedentary. One of the school nurses' main task is to provide tools for Students to make healthy choices. During the health visit, the school nurse gets the opportunity to inform and talk about health and physical activity with the Students.Aim: To describe how shool nurses? work to motivate Students to physical activity.Methods: The authors have conducted a pilot study that will form the basis for a large-scale study. Four nurses were interviewed using an interview guide based on open-ended questions and a qualitative content analysis was used when the interviews were analyzed.Results: The analysis revealed two categories and four subcategories.
