Barnfattigdom 2012 : Ett levande problem i Uppsalas skolor
In this essay we aimed to find how economic scarcity among children and youth presents itself in school, according to how school staff experience it. We have conducted interviews with Student welfare staff to hear their experiences of this subject and how the schools try to help these pupils. We have used interpretative phenomenology as a base for our work. We have also used some of this traditions most important notions along with notions of Erving Goffman and Sara Ahmed during our processing off the material. With help from these, we report our most interesting results. We have seen that a lack of resources exists among youth today and that everyone not has easy access to things many of us might take for granted.
Kvalitetsredovisning och undervisning i matematik
The aim with this master thesis is to analyze a scientific material concerning the context between learning and child/Student development, and factors which controls process of learning, to create an image with quality account and teaching in mathematics, which then can raise the mathematical knowledge among Students.The phenomena which stand in focus for the investigation is: why there is a negative tendency for development of knowledge in mathematics, among the Swedish Students that TIMSSs investigations showed in intercultural comparison within the years 1993, 1999, 2003 and 2007.The method is the ethnographical method, which is based on: analyzing scientific theories about learning child/Student development, factors which controls process of learning, and factors which controls process of learning the most and qualitative empiric investigation with qualitatively analyzes the questionnaires, which is about factors which are controlling the process of learning and factors which are controlling the process of learning the most.Result of the theoretical and empiric analyzes shows that factors as school environment, attitude for subjects and teaching, controls and influence the learning. To end a unenthusiastic tendency as a negative development of mathematical knowledge among Students that is shown in TIMSS investigation and to elevate the Students' performance in mathematics, an elevated qualitative account and teaching in mathematics, by the factors named. Safe school environments as the intercultural meeting place, the teachers influence part to the Students' subjects' attitude in mathematics and goal related grading criteria in teaching, is all required for e qualitative teaching in mathematics..
Kommunikationen mellan student och handledaren ur ett studentperspektiv : Under den fartygsförlagda utbildningen
Denna undersökning byggds på intervjuer av Studenter ifrån det fyraåriga sjöingenjörsprogrammet på Sjöfartshögskolan i Kalmar under ht 07 och vt 08.Syftet med undersökningen var att undersöka hur eleven såg på kommunikationen med handledaren under den fartygsförlagda praktiktiden.Metoden som användes var kvalitativt styrda intervjuer. Dessa genomfördes med hjälp av Kvales intervju tekniker. För analysering av intervjuerna användes Jacobsens teorier om kvalitativa innehållsanalyser.Efter genomförd undersökning kom man att se att Studenterna tyckte att det fanns tendenser till kommunikationsbrister mellan Student och handledare under den fartygsförlagda praktiktiden. Dessa kommunikationsbrister berodde enligt Studenterna på tidsbrist samt brist på engagemang hos handledaren.Trots brister i kommunikationer ser ändå de flesta intervjupersonerna positivt på sitt framtida yrkesutövande. Med underlag av denna undersökning ser vi dock tendenser till att en översyn av praktikfartyg samt engagerade handledare kanske är i sin ordning..

AbstractThe aim of this study was to investigate the reason why Students contact adults if they are involved in any kind of bullying, what support they had received and wished for, as well as to investigate why Student don?t contact adults. About of 150 Students, 50 girls and 56 boys (70%) had experienced bullying of different kinds; some had more than one kind of experience. The Students expressed that they had contacted adults when they ?felt unwell? and to ?stop bullying?.

Lärande - styrt eller i samspel? : En studie om lärares syn på undervisning och lärande
This study?s purpose was to examine which main forms of teaching methods that occurs in the Swedish nine-year compulsory school and how often learning through social collaboration take place. The study contained literature and interviews with eight teachers. Our research-questions were: What is the teacher?s opinion about different teaching methods, their opinion about learning and teaching and if there were any difference between the teachers teaching younger or older Students regarding teaching methods? Our conclusions of this study were that ?lecture-methods? is the most common among teachers.

The purpose of my study is using a narrative approach from a Student perspective through the feelings that show the cultural encounters of immigrant Students with the Swedish school. VAD ÄR HANDLEDNING FÖR DIG?
Syftet med studien var att undersöka sjuksköterskors uppfattningar av handledning av sjuksköterskeStudenter. Frågeställningarna som författarna ville få besvarade var: vad handledning innebar för sjuksköterskan och vad hon ansåg påverka handledningen. Metoden som författarna valde att använda var en fenomenografisk ansats. Fenomenografin var lämplig då författarna ville undersöka sjuksköterskornas olika uppfattningar kring det valda fenomenet. Datainsamlingen utfördes genom semistrukurerade intervjuer med sex sjuksköterskor på en kirurgavdelning på UMAS.
Matematik+andraspråkselever = matematiksvårigheter? : Varför och vad kan lärarna göra?
The purpose of my examination work was to show the need for support for Students with another mother-tongue than Swedish, so that these Students would be able to get through mathematics tuition better. To achieve this purpose, I chose to start from the perspective that presented itself at interviews with two class teachers and two mother-tongue supervisors. I also chose to use the qualitative research interview as study method, as I tried to understand those informing me in a thorough and in-depth way. In my study I have had a sociocultural perspective as starting point where the conceptions teaching, language and communication, support and individualizing are central for the development of knowledge. The questions for my study during this process were as follows: What difficulties, according to the teachers interviewed can occur for second language Students in mathematics? What ways and methods of working do the teachers chosen give priority to, so that the second language Students` results in mathematics will improve? The results from my interviews show that the difficulties with mathematics for second anguage Students can be perceived as being dependent on a combination of reasons, where amongst other things language plays a central part.

The aim of the study was to describe how patients experienced communication, treatment and costs at the dental hygienist program at Högskolan Kristianstad. The study was based on a questionnaire that was made at the patient clinic. The questionnaire was conducted by the treating dental hygienist Student after the treatment. The questionnaire was answered in the waiting room. Collection of the material occurred during the month of March in 2009.

The purpose of this work is to see if the Students, on two separate high schools, understand what skills you should achieve after completing the course in physical education and health A 100 points. The entire study is based on a Student perspective. In order to best answer the purpose, the questionnaire used in the "available groups" in schools. The questions for the work are: To what extent and how Students perceive what they should achieve after completing the course in Sport and Health A?, Which is the goal, based on the curriculum in Physical Education, that Students feel are important to achieve? and how do a comparison like between these two schools on the basis of what Students perceive that they must achieve in Sport and Health A?The result shows that the main goal that finds support in the course objectives is an assertion; Has knowledge of what to eat to maintain or improve health, which over 90% of Students had checked in.
