Emerging infectious diseases poses a great future threat, not only to humans but also to domestic animals and wildlife. Even though the majority of these infections only cause minor health problems, the relatively recent emergence of HIV clearly illustrates that the next major human pandemic may surface at any time. Regardless of what the name indicates, most emerging human pathogens are not believed to be recently evolved, but to have existed previously in the natural environment. Most emerging pathogens are zoonotic, i.e. able to infect animals besides humans.

In this essay I set out to investigate the differences between the creed that was formulated at the council of Nicaea (325 A.D) and the creed that was produced at the council of Constantinopel (381 A.D). This study's purpose was to examine how a few members of the Swedish parliament described the result of the Presidential Elections in their blogs. The main question - how the election results were described in the blogs - was divided into three themes, created on the basis of the blog's content.

Research shows that managers? work-related prerequisites are significantly different between the male dominated technical administration and the female dominated care and educational administration. The purpose of this paper is to examine how teachers comprehend LUS as a development program, but also how they think about one of the points in the program. The study is based on interviews with five teachers working with ages between preschool to ninth grade.The results show that the development program is splendid, it doesn?t come with a lot of paperwork and it has a humanistic approach. When it comes to point 18a which is the main examination, the teachers mainly agree with each other. They all talk about preunderstanding, reading speed and the amount of literature as the main characteristics to be placed at point 18a.

In order to develop a brand the organization must understand its identity.The purpose of the study was to examine the employees? thoughts of their organization in order to be able to define the organizational identity and give recommendations of core values that the organization can apply to their brand. To understand how the employees perceive their organization and what they think the organization stands for, the main focus was to study their view on values, standards, goals and vision of the organization through focus interviews and a survey.

I den här rapporten redovisas resultatet från en undersökning som genomförts i samband med införandet av nya arbetssätt då det gäller att med hjälp av videorespons ge feedback och bedömning på skriftliga studentarbeten. Studien belyser hur man med hjälp av IKT-stöd kan utveckla kontakten mellan student och lärare samt utnyttja de tekniska hjälpmedel högskolorna har tillgång till på ett utökat sätt. Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur kommunikationen mellan lärare och student förändras om man inför videorespons som metod vid handledning och examination. Studien har sin teoretiska utgångspunkt i sociokulturell teori samt formativ bedömning. Frågeställningarna i studien handlar också om hur det förändrade arbetssättet kan påverka lärandet hos studenten.

It is a well known archaeological concern that the remains of human bones left from the bronze age and early iron age Scandinavia are not nearly enough to represent the estimated population of the time. Furthermore the bones of each find rarely represent a whole individual. The majority of the bones must have been disposed of somewhere else, possibly scattered in running waters or in the fields, where they have evaporated or are securely hidden from archaeological excavations.This thesis deals with the grave concept and the problem in using a word that is so very clouded by its modern, western meaning. BACKGROUND Until 1988, it was forbidden to neuter male dogs in Sweden without a veterinary medical cause, so there is clearly no long tradition of this procedure in healthy dogs. According to the website of The Swedish Kennel Club (SKK), February 11, 2011, there has been an increase of castrated male dogs in Sweden. They see this increase as worrying, especially in cases of the less common breeds, where it is most important to maintain the gene pool. The SKK expresses concern that castration is used as a tool to influence the personality of dogs, instead of training and education of the dog. They write that castration should be preceded by a discussion initiated by the veterinarian, where the pros and cons of castration are weighed against each other.

This study is about what teachers in primary schools say that they are doing to create a school for all.The purpose of this study is to find out what teachers in primary schools say that they do on their mission to create a school for everyone and how they organize teaching to achieve this. The study was conducted as an interview of five teachers from elementary school of different gender and with a qualitative method because it provides a great opportunity to problematize, interpret and understand the responses of the interviewees.The results show that all the teachers think that their mission is to teach so that they can give each student what they need to achieve the goals. This may not be every day but over time, they hope that all students feel that they get so much of the teacher's time that they need..

Title: How do violin teachers work with music reading? - A qualitative interview study on the phenomena music reading. The purpose of this essay is to investigate how five violin teachers in mixed ages and from different backgrounds teach music reading to their students. The paper is based on semi structured interviews. The result shows that there are as many methods as respondents, but you can find three major methods and that a majority of the teachers thinks that one should teach violin to beginners without reading music.

Title: The social relation between student & teacher in individual music education. The aim of this study is to examine the relevance of the social relation between teacher and student in instrumental tuition in non-compulsory music education. The method I have used is qualitative interview inspired by phenomenology. I have made interviews with four persons who have experienced individual singing/instrumental studies on several different levels. In this paper I wish to shed light on what people who have experienced many years of singing/instrumental studies are telling about the social relation to their former pedagogues.

No previous studies have been conducted on elementary school in Sweden about children`s thoughts about the first animals on earth. The work takes up the children`s ideas of the first animals and the difference between girls and boys knowledge. The purpose of this work was to determine if student`s views are consistent with the science know today. In the interview, five girls and five boys participated. Purpose: The purpose with this paper is to get a deeper understanding for prizes and awards as a marketing tool and phenomena. Further we want companies/organizations that use this should be able to make better decisions concerning marketing towards students. Maybe they will get better results on the basis of our investigations. Method: We used the qualitative method when we did the interview that was also non-standardized. The survey was quantitative, and the case study comprises both qualitative and quantitative method. Conclusion: Companies/organizations that arrange this type of competitions have to look over their marketing of the competition.
