Sverige är ett land som internationellt sett länge förknippats med fred, och framförallt med frihet. En tolerant nation, där just denna beryktade tolerans i nuläget utsatts för ifrågasättande. Anledningen till detta är fallet med pastor Åke Green. Denne har i en predikan, som sedermera publicerades i Borgholms lokaltidning, Ölandsbladet, uttalat sig kränkande mot homosexuella och deras livsföring. Följden av detta blev väckande av allmänt åtal enligt den nya tilläggsbestämmelsen i Brottsbalken 16 kapitlet, 8 paragrafen om förbud mot hets mot homosexuella.

Syftet med den här undersökningen var att få reda på varför man väljer att börja studera till sjökapten och även jämföra om det finns några likheter mellan de som läser tre respektive fyra år. Eftersom vi själva jobbat till sjöss, innan vi börja studera så var valet att börja studera relativt lätt för oss, men vad fick våra kollegor att börja studera? Det finns brist på styrmän till sjöss så förhoppningsvis kan vår undersökning hjälpa högskolor att lättare rekrytera personer. Vår undersökning visar att den största anledningen till att börja studera är det personliga intresset, men även att nya utmaningar i yrkeslivet har en stor påverkan i studenternas val. Däremot hittade vi ingen större likhet mellan tre och fyra åriga programmet.

I wanted to look at school-children's perspective of prehistory. I also wanted to look at the literature at their disposal, provided by the schools.In this essay I am looking at a school-class in the fourth grade from a school in Malmö and a fifth grade-class at a school in Klågerup just outside Malmö. I am trying to determine the student's view of what prehistory is all about, as well as how their own school-literature is connected to that knowledge. Six books in all were examined. The essay is concentrated on prehistory and only at those two schools.

The purpose of this study is to explore students? perceptions and experiences of the school-subject Swedish. Ten qualitative interviews with students in school year nine have been carried out and the results of these interviews constitute the basis of this study. The result shows that students have a straight-forward attitude towards Swedish as a school-subject. The students identify skills such as reading, writing and speaking, and work in school mainly concerns perfecting these skills. The students think of Swedish as a subject with a clear purpose and find it important and useful. The result also shows that the students want grading for the purpose of further motivation.

Facebook is the most widely used social media in Sweden. It allows the user to easily share the latest from their everyday life, their opinions, as well as communicate with their acquaintances. According to the latest poll from the Foundation for Internet Infrastructure, 33% of teenagers in the ages 12-15 spend their Internet time being active on social media. 63% of these teenagers visit Facebook on daily basis.Herein, we examined how Facebook can be exploited as a complement to the education of the mother tongue. The investigation was performed with a questionnaire as well as a test group that has been supplemented with semi-structured interviews. In conclusion, the study showed promising results in the usage of Facebook with the education.

The first law in Sweden containing an act of legal deposit is from 1661. Since then the printing-houses are supposed to deliver all printed material to the Royal Library and other recipient libraries. Today, more and more information is solely published electronically. This material is not yet included in the law of legal deposit. In a similar way as our printed cultural heritage is saved for posterity our electronic cultural heritage has to be saved.

The Veiled Party: A Discourse Analysis of Sweden Democratic Texts aims to further the understanding of the underlying ideology of the Sweden Democratic party, by revealing whether or not there is any ideological content that include race, racialization, and racism in the party?s political texts. The study offers a background description of the discursive change in the social and political climate of debate in Sweden, which opened a policy window for xenophobic agenda setting. In addition, the study delivers a presentation of the public debate regarding the Sweden Democrats, as well as statements by party representatives.Through a social constructionist and discourse analytic framework, the study aims at understanding how the application of racial ideas are done and mapped. The core of the theoretical framework is a critical race and whiteness theoretical approach.

Manpowers Work Life undersökning från maj 2008 visar att ungefär hälften av alla högskole- och universitetsstudenter väljer att arbeta vid sidan av studierna. Undersökningen visar vidare att endast en fjärdedel av dessa studenter har ett extraarbete som matchar deras utbildningsprofil. Det finns även en oro bland studenterna att inte få ett framtida arbete inom deras utbildningsområde (Manpower A, 2008). Detta väckte ett intresse hos oss att undersöka vilken nytta ett icke-matchande extraarbete har haft för en student som idag är nyutexaminerad samt har ett arbete inom dennes utbildningsprofil. Vi vill undersöka nyttan av ett icke-matchande extraarbete ur två perspektiv, både ur den nyutexaminerade studentens syn men även ur deras nuvarande arbetsgivares syn.

AbstractI have chosen to make a study of the learning of reading and writing, as well as other learning difficulties that may occur, in this research.My choice of subject is based on the realizations I made during my time as a student teacher; that each teacher has his/her own way of teaching reading and writing. Sometimes, however, learning difficulties occur, and this insight caught my attention. It made me think about the underlaying reasons and how we, as teachers, can bring attention to these difficulties. With these questions in mind, I recorded my observations based on a series of interviews and literary studies in an attempt to answer my questions. The resulting research emphasizes how important the actions from the teachers are, as well the importance of having variety in your lesson plan.

The case method is a relatively new pedagogical method in Sweden that is based on students exercising their skills in the analysis of complex situations and problems that are based in reality and that help students to see a broader perspective and context.The purpose of this study has been to investigate, through interviews with students and teachers, the advantages and disadvantages of the case method in teaching geography.The results of the study show that both teachers and students share almost the same opinion. The conclusion is that the case method is a didactic method that is well suited for teaching geography, as it is based on reality and develops the students? ability to analyze, argue and find solutions in several areas within the subject of geography. If a student is strong in these skill areas they can really benefit from the application of the case method in the teaching of geography, but for students who are weaker in these skills, the case method can be a disadvantage.

Denna uppsats om 15 hp har syftet att undersöka hur man socialiseras in i rollen som student genom aktiviteter vid Ultuna Studentkår. Studentlivet kan sägas vara fullt av profana ritualer, rutiner och bär på ett utvecklat symbolspråk. Under sin studieperiod deltar många av studenterna i dessa aktiviteter. Med hjälp av handling och tal inbegrips de i, förvaltar och formar föreställningar om den egna rollen ? deras identitet som studenter och som blivande yrkesutövare.

BAKGRUND: Dagligen genomgår ett stort antal patienter datortomografiundersök-ningar med intravenöst (i.v.) kontrastmedel. Kontrastmedlet kan bidra till en stegring av S-kreatinin värdet och orsaka njurskada = kontrastmedels nefropati (KMN). För att kunna bedöma och följa patientens njurfunktion tas S-kreatinin prov. SYFTE: Att be-lysa riskfaktorer för KMN på polikliniska patienter som ska genomgå röntgenundersök-ningar med i.v. kontrastmedel.

Denna uppsats har som syfte att ta reda på hur människor socialt konstruerar och omkonstruerar sin identitet. Detta har vi gjort utifrån följande frågeställning; Hur kan muslimer i Landskrona socialt konstruera sina identiteter? Genom umma och/eller territoriell tillhörighet? I vår teoridel har vi utgått från ett konstruktivistiskt perspektiv där vi fokuserar oss på teorier kring konstruktion av identitet i allmänhet, av territoriell identitet och av muslimsk identitet, vilka alla är socialt konstruerade och kontextberoende samt att vi använt teorier kring föreställningen om ?den andre?, som är en grundläggande utgångspunkt för identitetskonstruktionen. För att kunna få veta hur människor själv uppfattar sina identiteter har vi gjort tre stycken intervjuer med tre olika muslimer i staden Landskrona, vilka utgör vårt primärmaterial. Dessa intervjuer har genom en narrativ analys visat hur våra respondenter har konstruerat och/eller omkonstruerat sina identiteter.

AbstractWorking with students who have ADHD are today common in Swedish schools. Approximately 2-3 students per class have been diagnosed with ADHD and require greater demands on their teachers. The pupils have to be included and get the opportunities to develop in the way that suits the students best. The pupils themselves should not have to adapt to the school, it is the school that has to adapt to the pupils. The purpose of this paper is to examine how PE teachers work with students who have ADHD as they need to have adults around them that have insights on their special needs.

Weber and Linder (2005) have enlightened that the focus of the current debate on the budget?s to be or not be, has been on trying to find a general tool, which fits best in all situations. They argue that the budget may be more appropriate for organizations in certain circumstances, than for others. They claim that there is a gap in research concerning the situations in which the budget may be appropriate, or when Beyond budgeting is preferred. It is this gap we are trying to fill with our thesis.The purpose of the thesis is to explain which situational factors that affect the organization's use of budgets for the functions the budget can fulfill.
