Orsaken till mitt ämnesval för detta examensarbete uppkom på grund av att den teoretiska delen i byggutbildningen på den skola där jag arbetar ofta uppfattas som tråkig och meningslös. Detta arbete är ett försök att skapa ett nytt teorimaterial för byggprogrammet som eleverna skall kunna använda för att ta till sig den teoretiska kunskapen på ett effektivt och pedagogiskt sätt. I denna kurs så ingår det att eleverna skall kunna utföra enklare praktiska byggövningar, få kännedom om lite olika byggmaterial, olika byggtekniker samt ekologiskt byggande. Detta arbete tar också upp vad man skall tänka på när en pedagogisk facktext skall skrivas. Teorimaterialet i detta arbete är en handledning i hur man kan bygga en lekstuga.

The aim of this study is to analyse how female neopagan practitioners form their identitiesindividually as well as collectively. Using Ernesto Laclau?s and Chantal Mouffe?s discourse theory and Anthony Giddens? descriptions of late modernity and self-identity, I intend toinvestigate my informants? construction and upholding of a meaningful identity and sense ofself. I will also look at how the neopagan movement can be viewed as a phenomenon closely interwoven with the overriding tendencies in our contemporary society. Neopaganism is an umbrella term that is used to describe a number of modern nature religions that take their inspiration from pre-Christian traditions.

The purpose with this thesis is to analyse images in the confirmationbook Via Mystica from a gender perspective. By using two different ways to analyse the pictures, a content analysis and a semiotic picture analysis, the result was as follows: The pictures of men an women fortifies the construction of gender. The girls in the pictures are represented as caregivers and comforters, while the boys are represented as strong and tough. The four pictures from the semiotic picture analyses showed how easy it was to categorise the men and the women in the photos in opposing stereotypes. The women are percieved as weak and submissive while the men were either strong criminals or a strong hero.

My essay is an investigation of American Psychos Patrick Bateman. Why is Patrick Batemans identity one so easily described as shallow and superficial? I discuss theese questions from a marxists point of view putting Bateman in the context of Georg Lukács theories of reification. I compare the structure of Patrick Batemans identity with the idea of an reified identity to se how the mechanisms of reification creates the entity that is Patrick Bateman.My conclusion is that one answer to Batemans shallowness is the phenomenon of reification. To get a grasp of how shallowness might be understood I combine the theories of Lukács with Bakhtins idea of the aouthorative discourse.If one look upon reification as an aouthorative discourse and one also presume that human existence is social and verbal the conclusion is that Patrick Bateman cannot exist because of what he is an example of.

My choice fell on this method because I believe it to be the most suitable for obtaining the data needed.

ABSTRACTThe aim of this essay is to analyze and discuss the razors? and tweezers? roles and dualism between them in the Nordic Bronze Age societies. This paper is an attempt to investigate what these little things can tell us about the people that were buried with them. For this purpose I have examined material of burial that consist of finds of razors respective tweezers and their connection with artefacts in the graves. I have done a comparative and contextual study together using quantitative and qualitative methods to investigate their roles and dualism.

Bakgrund: Facebook är ett socialt onlinenätverk som under sina levnadsår har ökat explosionsartat i popularitet. På Facebook sköter många användare stora delar av sina sociala relationer och delar med sig mycket av sig själva. Det finns inget tidigare socialt nätverk i stil med Facebook som har haft samma genomslagskraft hos internetanvändarna. I användandet skapas en digital identitet som lämnar spår på Facebook, även om en användare är död. Kring dessa kvalämnade digitala identiteter vill vi undersöka unga vuxnas syn. Syfte: Vårt syfte med denna uppsats är att ta reda på hur unga vuxna ser på sitt och andras användande av Facebook  kopplat till digitala spår och döden. Metod: Vi har valt att använda fokusgruppssamtal som metod för insamling av det empiriska materialet.

With inspiration from Bitzers situational analysis a phenomenografic method has been used, influenced by Brown & Levinsons´s theory of politeness, to find perceptions concerning constraints (in Bitzer´s sense in his model of the rhetorical situation) in Internet-based communication. Based on three qualitative interviews, this essay has found that the perceptions are closely linked to views of what constitutes formal and informal contexts, varying due to the gender or age of the informant. Netspeak is not considered appropriate, with some exceptions, in any formal situation. However, the perceptions regarding decorum in informal situations differ in nature, based mainly on what kinds of associations and connotations are produced by elements found in netspeak. Since perceptions regarding informal situations vary, there is a large risk of misunderstanding, which this essay aims to survey..

This is a study that aims to investigate what is being spoken about on an internet forum created for people who suffer from extreme loneliness. The study aims to answer questions regarding the users identity and general opinions regarding live a life of more intense solitude. The basic scientific approach of the study is centered around two terms, taken from Howard S. Beckers book "outsiders" (1997). These two terms are "outsiders" and "deviant careers", both dealing with the subject of deviant behavior.

Bakgrund/problem:          Doft används i liten utsträckning inom marknadsföring trots att det bevisligen är ett sinne som är starkt kopplat till människans känslor.Syfte:                                  Att redogöra för doftens betydelse i kundens sätt att uppfatta och intressera sig för produkterna.Metod:                               En kvantitativ forskning har tillämpats där ansatsen har varit deduktiv. Undersökningen som utfördes för denna uppsats genomfördes på IKEA i Kalmar.Teori:                                 Den teori vi använt oss av tar upp ämnesområden som människans fem olika sinnen, doftkänslighet, perception, kundbeteende, varumärkets själ, servicelandskap och upplevelsevärld.Empirisk Analysoch Diskussion:                 Vi redovisar i detta kapitel de observationer som gjorts samt en analys av dessa. Vi kommer även att diskutera analysen där vi tar stöd av teorin.Slutsats:                             Genom sammanställningen av de hypoteser vi ställt upp kan vi inte konstatera att doft har någon betydelse för kundbeteendet på IKEA i Kalmar.Förslag till fortsatt forskning:                          Vi har i slutet av denna uppsats presenterat de rekommendationer för vad vi anser fortsatt forskning borde ta hänsyn till.  .

Bakgrund: Varje år könsstympas fler än 2 miljoner kvinnor. Traditionen att könsstympa kvinnor går så långt tillbaka i historien att ingen historiker i dagsläget kan säga exakt hur, var och varför denna sedvänja uppstod. Det förekommer i ett trettiotal länder. Ingreppet sker ofta utan smärtlindring, sterila instrument och kompetent personal. I Sverige är kvinnlig könsstympning brottsligt, lagen gäller alla svenska medborgare oavsett om det sker inom Sveriges gränser eller utanför.

Syfte: syftet med undersökningen är att studera språkliga egenskaper och hur de kommer till uttryck i bloggar. Teori: vi använder oss utav teorier som behandlar begreppen offentlighet, nätverkssamhälle, flödesrum, konvergens och narcissism.Metod: kvalitativ och kvantitativ analys står som grund för insamlingen av det empiriska materialet. En netnografisk studie har utförts för att få kunskap hur det ser ut på bloggarna. För att lättare kunna undersöka bloggarnas innehåll har vi dekonstruerat texten och därefter analyserat varje mening. Huvudresultat: resultaten av vår undersökning bekräftar att det inte finns några regler på hur ett samtal på en blogg ska se ut.

The aim of this study was to examine how "Professional Exes", individuals that have exited a drug abuse and a criminal career and further are educated to work in the addiction field, transformed their identity and which factors that were significant in the process. The result of this study are based on semi-structured interviews with five Professional Exes and shows which specific factors in the process that contributed to the transformation and what kind of difficulties and barriers that existed during the process. The study suggests that, among other things, identification with others exes and the 12 Step Program are significant factors in the process. Furthermore, the study suggests that a difficulty in the transformation is that residues from the previous identity such as a poor self-esteem occurred in some situations..
