BAKGRUND: Ospecifik långvarig ländryggssmärta är ett vanligt problem i dagens samhälle. Smärtan som inte har sin förklaring i vävnadsskada kan om den kvarstår leda till isolering, inaktivitet och depression. Fysisk träning används ofta för att minska smärtintensiteten.SYFTE: Syftet med studien var att undersöka vilka fysioterapeutiska interventioner som används mot NSLBP och att redogöra för vilka resultatmått som används för att utvärdera effekten av interventionerna. METOD: Litteratursökningen gjordes i databaserna PubMed och CINAHL. Ämnesord för respektive databas tillämpades.

AimThe purpose of this study is to investigate whether there is scientific evidence that exercise and/or manual therapy can improve function, in terms of increased mobility and strength on shoulder impingement-like symptoms among athletes. Another aim is to investigate whether these interventions can reduce shoulder pain.MethodA systematic review was conducted in the databases PubMed, CINAHL, PEDro and Amed. A total of thirteen articles were selected for further review and compilation. They were then graded for level of evidence according to the PEDro scale and the Swedish Council on Technology Assessment (SBU).ResultsThe systematic review shows that there is strong scientific evidence that acupuncture and heat can reduce pain in athletes diagnosed with supraspinatus-tendiopathy. There is limited scientific evidence that exercise increases strength, limited scientific evidence that Stretching increases mobility and insufficient scientific evidence that a combination of treatments, with both exercise and Stretching, reduces pain and increases function in overhead athletes.ConclusionsExercise and manual therapy can reduce pain and/or improve function in terms of increased mobility and strength in athletes with shoulder impingement-like symptoms.

Benhinneinflammation är en av de vanligaste underbensdiagnoserna. Idag finns ingen enhetlig definition på begreppet och orsaken till besvären är okänd. Detta gör det svårt att behandla benhinneinflammation. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att beskriva sjukgymnastens syn på begreppet benhinneinflammation och dess orsak, samt vilka behandlingsmetoder sjukgymnaster använder i öppenvården och vilken profession de tror att denna patientgrupp uppsöker. En webbenkät skickades ut till 154 sjukgymnaster på vårdcentraler och privata kliniker i Sverige.

AbstraktSyfte:Syftet med studien var att undersöka vilken behandlingsstrategi sjukgymnaster inom Stockholms läns landsting väljer vid diagnosen kronisk tendinos i akillessenans mellanportion.Metod:En webenkät utformades och skickades ut till totalt 2267 legitimerade sjukgymnaster inom Stockholms läns landsting, som sökts upp via Elektroniska katalogen, till. Enkäten är inte validitets- eller reliabilitetstestad. Frågorna i enkäten var egenkonstruerade och baserade på studiens syfte. För att stärka studiens interna validitet gjordes en pilotstudie. Enkätundersökningen genomfördes från 14-02-05 till 14-02-19.

Diagnostiseringen av tennisarmbåge anses som enkel men dess orsak är omdiskuterat därför är tillståndet känt för att vara svårbehandlat. Tre kända förklaringsmodeller är inflammation, degenerativa förändringar samt smärttillstånd och det finns över 40 olika metoder för att behandla patienter utifrån dessa. Enligt tidigare publicerad evidens är det fortfarande oklart vilken som är den bästa behandlingsmetoden för detta tillstånd vilket gör det intressant att undersöka den beprövade erfarenheten inom detta område. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka primärvårdssjukgymnaster upplevda effekt av olika behandlingsmetoder för tennisarmbåge utifrån beprövad erfarenhet. Metod: En kvantitativ enkätundersökning genomfördes hos 48 primärvårdssjukgymnaster runt om i Sverige.

Veterinary hospital care and advanced veterinary services are rapidly growing industries. As of January 1, 2010, veterinary nursing became a licensed vocation, the title of veterinary nurse became protected, and the act regulating competence among the professions of the veterinary field was extended. These changes, along with increased demands and expectations from owners, have given rise to greater demands on the staff's qualifications and have increased the need for well-educated staff with expertise in several different areas. The aim of this study was to find out what the licensed veterinary nurse can do in terms of rehabilitation for the hospitalized equine patient suffering from orthopedic injury. This has been carried out through qualitative interviews with veterinary surgeons experienced in treating such patients, and also by reviewing the relevant literature.

Tidigare studier har visat att nedsatt rörlighet i höftextension verkar förekomma hos manliga ishockeyspelare på elitnivå. Syftet med denna undersökande studie var att se om det finns några skillnader i höftrörlighet gällande extension, inåtrotation och utåtrotation hos manliga ishockeyspelare på elitnivå jämfört med aktiva män i samma ålder. I studien deltog 21 manliga ishockeyspelare samt 21 män i en kontrollgrupp, medelåldern var 25 år i båda grupperna. Mätningarna av höftextensionen samt höftrotationerna utfördes med Myrin®mätare. Resultaten visade ingen skillnad i höftextensionen mellan grupperna, men båda låg under det som anses vara normalvärden.

Jag ville skriva detta arbete för att jag tycker det är viktigt att arbeta med att förebygga skador så långt det går. För att hunden ska må bättre men även för att alla vinner på att hundarna kan arbeta längre. Det spar pengar och förhindrar att det blir eventuella glapp med arbetsföra och erfarna hundar på myndigheterna. Det som behandlas i arbetet är varför man ska massera och stretcha hundarna samt vad hundförarna har får uppfattning om detta. Jag tar också upp om det redan finns rutiner för detta och om dem som arbetar med hundarna anser att deras hundar lättare ådrar sig skador än andra hundar.

This is a descriptive paper based on a questionnaire- and literature study regarding how dogs are trained, what type and frequency of injuries that occur as well as how the dogs are best prepared for work. Using the results from the questionnaire, an overview is given on how members of Working dog clubs train their dogs and what kind of injuries that occur most frequently. The average age among the dogs included in the study was only about three years. This could indicate that older dogs are not trained in the same extent as young dogs. The results show that only a third of the dog owners warmed up their dogs before training.

The purpose of this dissertation is to examine the occurrence of Scandinavia in the then daily English newspaper Yorkshire Herald during the First World War. The dissertation looks into what the Yorkshire Herald wrote about Scandinavia in the parts of the newspaper where the newspaper´s own opinion was given. This approach is connected to the theoretical idea that the British local and regional press was politically free during the war period. The dissertation also looks into the number of news telegrams etcetera that concerned Scandinavia during the period.The result shows that Scandinavia, both as a whole as well as the three individual countries, was mentioned about 700 times, split over about 600 telegrams and articles, during the examined period Stretching from the first of August 1914 to the eleventh of November 1918. Material that gives the newspaper´s opinion regarding issues concerning Scandinavia can be found six times during the period.

Today, many veterinary hospitals offer rehabilitation as a service. We think that this is an interesting subject and therefore we want to find out what rehabilitation methods that are available in Sweden for dogs and horses. We want to give animal nurses and other persons who have animals as an occupation an survey that shortly describes how the methods are performed, what physical effect they have in the body and to give examples in what conditions they are used. To find out what rehabilitation methods that are available we sent out two different questionnaires, one to hospitals/clinics for small animals and one to hospitals/clinics for horses and other companies that works with rehabilitation of horses. The information about the methods described in our project we have found in literature and on the Internet.

Jumper´s knee is a common overuse injury due to repetitive microtrauma to the patellar tendon. It is especially common among athletes who are involved in sporting activities that involve jumping or fast running. The term jumper´s knee was adopted after Blazina published his original paper in 1973. Its pathology can be considered as a partial or total rupture of the patellar tendon in one of its three insertions. The aim of this literature study was to review the methods used to treat this condition and the results obtained focusing on pain relief and returning to previous sport or level of activity.

Syftet med den här studien var att kartlägga vilka riskfaktorer för simmarskuldra som har identifierats och vilka preventiva interventioner som har studerats samt har haft bevisad förebyggande effekt på simmarskuldra. En artikelsökning utfördes i AMED, CinAHL, Google Scholar, Medline, PRIMO, ProQuest, PubMed och Scopus. Preventionsstudierna värderades med PEDros graderingsskala. I det slutgiltiga urvalet inkluderades 28 studier om riskfaktorer och sex om prevention.

The topic of this essay is the strategic importance of the Golan Heights during the period 1967-1973, specifically targeting the following questions;-          Why were the heights strategically important?-          What are the gains of either of the states in controlling the Golan Heights?A theoretical framework based on Jerker Widén´s and Jan Ångström´s Militärteorins grunder (The fundamentals in Military Theory) and its chapter regarding the strategic context will be used as an analytical framework.The framework has been applied on the specific conditions of the Golan Heights during a given and limited period of time; Stretching from 1967 to 1973, however, the study will not deal with the war of attrition in 1970 as the impact on the Golan Heights and the surrounding geographical strategically important area was limited if at all. The two wars waged during this particular time are used in an attempt to give a somewhat objective picture of the strategic importance of the area.The conclusions are that the importance of the Golan heights during the selected period was significant as the Golan Heights provided a ?strategic lock? both ways and provides a favourable area to deploy artillery, intelligence and surveillance sensors..
