The aim of this thesis is to map the research area of scientific collaboration within Library and Information Science LIS. The purpose is to find out who is doing research in this area, who they cite and if they get cited by other scientists outside of LIS. Scientific collaboration is an interdisciplinary research area with researchers from different disciplines such as LIS, human-computer interaction, psychology and sociology. We have concentrated our study to North America, Ireland, Great Britain and Scandinavia. In order to find researchers, we visited the websites of all universities with library and information science faculties in the chosen countries.

Detta är en kvalitativ undersökning om icke diagnostiserad ljudkänslighet. Syftet är att skildra den subjektiva upplevelsen av ljudkänslighet hos ljudkänsliga personer. Tolv informanter har svarat på ett frågeformulär rörande sin upplevelse som ljudkänslig och hur detta påverkar vardagen. Studiens resultat visar att faktorer som stress, sömnproblem och starka ljud bidrar till ökad känslighet. Strategier för att hantera ljudkänsligheten i vardagen presenteras.

In 1972 a national higher education for librarians was started. Up until then different categories of librarians got their education separately. The aim of this Master's thesis is to explore the attitude towards this new education for librarians. The study will concentrate on the attitude of the representatives from the research libraries. Researchlibraries had, until 1972, recruted their librarians amongst Ph.D-level scholars.

SammanfattningVi avser med denna kvantitativa studie att finna faktorer som kan antas leda till stress. Vi avser också att undersöka respondenternas arbetsmiljö och arbetsvillkor och utifrån deras enkätsvar eventuellt kunna se om de har lågstress- eller högstressarbeten. Uppsatsen baseras på en enkätundersökning genomförd under 2002 av Birgitta Eriksson och Jan Ch. Karlsson vid Karlstads universitet i samarbete med Statistiska Centralbyrån. Enkäten Arbetsmiljö och arbetsvillkor besvarades av 1570 förvärvsarbetande individer.

The purpose of this essay has been to investigate the research and national initiatives regarding film and Cineliteracy in the Swedish curriculum.The results show that, after all research, national initiatives and the continual clarification from the Swedish National Agency for Education concerning film's place in the Swedish subject, the vision of students cineliteracy not at all obtain an obvious place in the curriculum.The research points out the main causes behind this result to be teachers' lack of expertise and the fact that the formal education for future teachers in the subject still upholds traditional views on the subject of Swedish.The initiative presented in this essay also show lack of continuity, lack of adequate professional development opportunities for teachers and lack of practical guidance manuals to help teachers to develop and educate their pupils in line with current research and visions. .

Syftet med denna studie är att utifrån professionellas perspektiv få en ökad kunskap och förståelse för den ökande andelen av elever som skrivs in i särskolan. Huvudfrågan som denna studie försöker belysa är: Vilka faktorer ligger bakom elevökningen i särskolan? För att uppnå mitt syfte kommer jag fokusera på de följande frågeställningar: Vad innebär elever i behov av särskilt stöd? Vilka är kriterierna för rätt till särskoleundervisning? För att kunna ge svar på mina frågor tillämpade jag en kvalitativ metod, där utförde jag intervjuer med olika yrkesgrupper som jobbar med dessa elever. Resultaten av studien analyserades med hjälp av teorier om socialkonstruktivism och social kategorisering. Analysresultaten visade att det finns olika orsaker till elevökningen i särskolan.

To increase the understanding of how individuals total life situation affects their stress level and health has lately more frequently been discussed in different contexts. Furthermore, it is important to have knowledge of power structures that exist under given circumstances in a society to get an increased understanding of how to structure the health promoting work to get the highest possible benefits. People?s work life is essential to their health, since we spend a lot of time at work. The aim of this study was to find out which factors that relate to nursing staff?s health and stress level from a general perspective.

What compelled me to write this essay was the ongoing debate about DAMP/ADHD between mainly Eva Kärfve and Christopher Gillberg. The purpose of the essay was to ascertain whether there was a similar debate about Asperger Syndrome. My focus was on the causes of the syndrome, how Asperger Syndrome relates to high-functioning autism, how the causes of the syndrome are portrayed by the practitioners to those who have been diagnosed with it and their next of kin, how they view the prognosis of individuals with Asperger Syndrome and their thoughts about the method of diagnosis. To gather the material I have used semi-structured interview guides and qualitative interviews. Five interviews were carried out with six practitioners.

Bakgrund: En kris är en vändpunkt där människor omprioriterar vad som ar viktigt i livet. Tidigare studier visar på hur människor upplever den akuta krisen och stress som uppkommer vid förändringar i livet. De påvisar även hur vårdpersonal kan bemöta stress. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa vilket stöd de närstående behöver av vårdpersonal vid intensiv omvårdnad. Metod: En litteraturstudie som bygger på åtta vetenskapliga artiklar varav tre kvalitativa, tre kvantitativa med kvalitativt inslag och två kvalitativa med kvantitativt inslag.

Denna litteraturstudie handlar om vitamin E och selens betydelse för den tränande hästens försvar mot fria radikaler och vilka mängder av dessa som krävs för att hästen ska kunna prestera på topp. Vitamin E och selen är båda antioxidanter som skyddar omättade fettsyror mot oxidation. Oxidationen orsakar oxidativ stress i kroppen, denna anses skadlig och kan orsaka uppkomsten av flera olika sjukdomar. Muskelcellerna är speciellt utsatta för oxidativ stress och riskerar alltså att bli skadade. Peroxider bildas vid oxidativ stress i kroppen och reduceras med hjälp av glutationperoxidas, där selen är en cofaktor.

ABSTRACTThe purpose of the study was to examine, from the point of view of former research findings, what impact physical activity had on learning. I chose to make an explorative/inductive research, to get as much knowledge as possible from the studied presentation of problem, not to limit myself to a specific research theory. The result proved, that school personal and student experienced many positive effects from daily physical activities. The pupils were more pleased. There was more piece and quiet in the classroom.

In this study our aim is to display a series of possible mechanisms which operateswithin the regions and societies were child soldiers were frequently andextensively used in combat tasks. Our study is based on the assumption thattoday's peace-building strategies are inadequate to describe certain problemsfaced by many post-conflict countries, especially in Africa. We argue that largeformations of child soldiers will, if not properly and immediately addressed, causeserve and structural problems in society, gravely hampering growth andinstitutional capacity. The Issues of Post Traumatic Stress and societal insecuritybrought on by the use of child soldiers poses a serious threat to society as a whole.In this study we use Uganda as an illustrative case to describe the mechanisms atwork..

In this thesis my purpose is to study the mechanisms and discourses that are the foundations for identification processes, in a contemporary society characterised by increased mobility. By means of a fictitious life history, I relate to this problem constantly through the work. At the beginning of the essay I discuss the traditional, western, philosophical view of the self and its surroundings, which eventually leads me to focus on the theories of the sociology of knowledge. From this perspective I choose to examine globalisation processes and mobility, to create an understanding of how these two, changes the circumstances for the individual identification. In my concluding argument I stress that all research or all studies concerning identification processes must take into account that these identifications always take place with regard to time/place which also means, that it takes place both in real space and in imaginary space.

This study is about young girls' mental health. In Sweden, the mental health deteriorated in recent years among adolescents, particularly among young girls. Results of the Liv & Hälsa Ung in 2011 in the southern part of the county of Örebro is the basis for the study. The results of the survey showed that a remarkable number of young girls rate their mental health as poor. The purpose of this study was to examine what young girls in southern part of the county of Örebro County believes are contributing factors for good mental health and the method used is qualitative.

Stress är ett ökande problem i samhället. Av alla sjukskrivna är i dag närmare fyrtio procent hemma för någon form av psykisk ohälsa och antalet beräknas öka ytterligare. Besvären kryper längre ner i åldrarna och kan ses redan hos små barn. En redan utsatt grupp i samhället är ungdomar, vilka går igenom en stor omställning i övergången till vuxenlivet. Hur de påverkas av dagens samhällsstruktur är ännu outforskat.
