Mitt syfte med detta examensarbete är att få djupare kunskaper inom området stress eftersom det blir ett allt större problem i vårt samhälle. Jag vill undersöka elevernas och personalens uppfattning om stress. I arbetet för att motverka stress i skolan är avslappning en del. Jag vill ta också reda på om avslappningsträning ger en positiv effekt på barn. Mina frågeställningar handlar om stress, hur den yttrar sig, vilka orsakerna är och hur man kan motverka stress hos barn.

Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka vilken betydelse finlandssvenska kvinnors upplevda nivå av stress, självkänsla och emotion management (att kunna hantera de egna känslorna) hade för deras förmåga att anpassa sig till en ny tillvaro i Schweiz. Utöver detta syftade studien att klargöra vilka överlappningar som fanns mellan self-efficacy och dimensionerna i Black, Mendenhall och Oddou (1991) modellen över internationell anpassning. Fyra olika skalor användes för att undersöka relationen mellan anpassningsförmåga och variablerna ovan. Resultatet baserat på 35 respondenter visade att anpassningsförmåga korrelerade både med självkänsla och self-efficacy (tilltro till sin egen förmåga). Kvinnorna skattade anpassningen till livet i Schweiz som ringa krävande, hade låga stressupplevelser och en god självkänsla.

While studying at the landscape architect program in Uppsala I found stress to play a major roll in the education. To help myself and others to handle the negative stress within the profession and the education I choose to write my thesis about landscape architects' work cultures. Swedish Association of Architects is in second place in the SACO study on long-term sickness for fatigue syndrome, stress and depression. The issue needed to be addressed. My purpose with the thesis has been to study the work cultures in the landscape profession and training and to study and find ways to manage negative stress in the profession and in education.

Finns det någon skillnad i upplevd stress hos förskolepedagoger och grundskollärare? Stress hos lärare kan definieras som en känsla av ilska, spändhet, frustration eller depression. Enligt Krav- kontroll-stödmodellen mår de som har jobb med höga krav, låg kontroll och dåligt socialt stöd sämst på jobbet. En kvantitativ studie har gjorts där enkäter delats ut till lärare på förskolan och grundskolan i en mindre ort i Sverige. Data jämfördes sedan med data från en större ort i Sverige.

Stress is common in today?s society, but the word stress has numerous connotations. The aim of this study was to investigate how dogs are effected by stress and what the veterinary nurse can do to help dogs to avoid or at least mitigate stress within the veterinary hospital. The goal was also to see how dogs perceive the environment in the veterinary hospital and what behaviours dogs demonstrate when they enter the hospital and during their stay. Studies have shown that dogs have a reluctant feeling on entering a veterinary hospital. They can feel stressed by coming to a new environment, as well as by being put in a cage with no control over what is going to happen to them.

This study deals with one of the most discussed work environmental issues in the modern society of Sweden today - work related stress, its causes and how stress can affect people in their working situation. Our study is based on a questionnaire among aid handling officers in two municipalities of the middle of Sweden, and two interviews with their directors. We found that aid handling officers has a complex occupational role. We also found that the officers in these two municipalities experiences about the same level of stress.Further in the study, we will deal with whatever could be the cause of the stressful situation, using the demand/control model of Karasek and Theorell. The result shows that despite the similarity of the stress experience, the cause was shown to be different.

Syftet med undersökningen har varit att ta reda på hur pedagoger kan förebygga stress i barns dagliga rutiner. Vi har undersökt vilka rutinsituationer som pedagogerna anser stressar barn mest och hur stress kan förebyggas. Vidare har vi undersökt hur stress påverkar barn i behov av särskilt stöd och om pedagogerna anser att stress är ett problem i deras verksamhet. I litteraturen fann vi att problematiska relationer är en stor stressfaktor för barn. Enkätundersökningen visade att de situationer som pedagogerna anser stressar barnen mest är matsituationen och tambur- eller korridorsituationen.

The Swedish social insurance agency provides financial support for families and children, but also for people with work injury, illness and at old age. During 2012 they saw the amount of notifications of insurance increasing in Sweden, which is a development that cost our society a great deal of money. With the aim to pursue a sustainable development I have therefore devoted this project to wellness and Stress management within preschool.The employees of preschool are often dealing with a lot of stress, due to the big groups of children that causes high noise and sound levels. The high noise and sound levels is a contributor to stress which additionally can damage the health and cause impaired hearing loss. About half of the people around their forties until the age of retirement have difficulties understanding speech in large groups.The purpose of this project has been to investigate the causes of negative stress for my target group, women between 30-60 years old who works in preschool.

Syftet med det här examensarbetet är att studera stress hos barn i förskolan och att undersöka hur pedagoger arbetar förebyggande mot stress hos barn i förskolan. Studien har genomförts med semistrukturerade intervjufrågor till åtta pedagoger i två förskolor. Pedagogerna arbetar med förskolebarn i åldrarna ett till sex. Resultatet pekar på att stressfaktorer i dagens samhälle påverkar båda vuxna och barn negativt och positivt. Det visar också att de vuxna (pedagogerna och föräldrarna) i första hand behöver lära sig att hantera sin egen stress.

Arbetet handlar om hur barn ser på och påverkas av stress, både i skolan och på fritiden. Syftet med arbetet är att skapa en förståelse för vad som stressar barn och genom det kunna hjälpa barnen att hantera de stressande situationer de hamnar i. Stress är kroppens reaktion när vi utsätts för krav. Det finns både positiv och negativ stress. Positiv stress kan vara en drivkraft som motiverar, men när kraven blir för stora vänds pressen till något negativt.

Syftet med föreliggande studie var att studera om det fanns något samband mellan stress och personlighet, upplevd kontroll, samt socialt stöd. I studien deltog 135 deltagare, 58 män, 71 kvinnor, och 6 deltagare besvarade inte vilket kön de tillhör. Samtliga deltagare fyllde i frågeformulär om variablerna upplevd stress, personlighet, upplevd kontroll, samt socialt stöd. Resultatet visade att det finns ett positivt samband mellan stress och neuroticism. Det fanns negativa samband mellan stress och extroversion, stress och vänlighet, samt stress och samvetsgrannhet.

The purpose of our study is to examine whether stress among social workers is present, and if so, what strategies they and their supervisors use to manage work-related stress. The study is based on a qualitative method. The data consist of interviews, with six social workers and three supervisors. The study?s theoretical framework is based on KASAM, SOC-sense of coherence by Antonovsky, demand- control- support model by Karasek & Theorell, stress theory by Hans Selye and coping strategies by Lazarus.

Jag har i mitt examensarbete studerat barns syn på stress. Vad de tror orsakar stress, hur man känner sig och om man kan göra någonting åt det. Genom enkätundersökningar i en fyra, en sexa och en åtta har jag fått fram barnens tankar om stress. Jag har också läst mycket intressant litteratur inom området för att fördjupa mina kunskaper och ta del av vad andra personer har kommit fram till angående barn och stress. Litteraturen har jag också användt som grund till den empiriska studien.
