The aim of this paper is to perform a comparative study between the photography?s of Leila Khaled and Shirin Neshat in order to observe if the woman are able to recede from an conventional formation to become the bearer of the veil and not only reduced to that whichneeds to be concealed. From a feministic perspective I have observed how the symbolic of the veil moulds the woman and how the woman in her context moulds the veil.In the description of the news photography of Khaled and the art photography produced by Neshat the mechanisms that lies as a foundation for the modelling of the portraits becomesthe essays primary entrance. Mechanisms that evolve around the creation of the woman as aconcept, a subject shaped for being looked at and the woman?s self-image through others.The textual discourse is visually enhanced through a comparative picture material visually enhanced and explained through photographs by the contemporary artist photographers Cindy Sherman, Catherine Opie, Laurie Simmons, Robert Mapplethorpe and Elin Berge.

Stockholms- och Uppsalaregionen tar sitt dricksvatten från Mälaren och dess tillflöden. Med ett varmare och fuktigare klimat, vilket är ett scenario i framtiden, kommer troligen kolhalten i vattnet att öka vilket kan leda till att nuvarande reningstekniker måste utvecklas. Organiskt material i dricksvatten kan orsaka en rad problem så som desinfektionsbiprodukter, biologisk tillväxt i distributionssystemen samt även dålig lukt, smak och färg. En lovande metod för rening av organiskt material har visat sig vara anjonbytaren MIEX® (Magnetic Ion Exchange resin process).Syftet med detta projekt var att utvärdera MIEX® förmåga att rena vatten från löst organiskt material (DOC), då anjoner (Cl-, HCO3- och SO42-) som kan konkurrera finns närvarande. Detta gjordes genom experiment med vatten som innehöll olika kombinationer och koncentrationer av de fyra ovan nämnda jonerna.

Syftet med vår undersökning är att analysera hur arbetstagare påverkas av att arbeta i en organisation som erbjuder karriärmöjligheter. Vilka positiva och negativa faktorer blir påverkade av möjligheterna? Vi kommer genom intervjuer analysera våra respondenters inställningar och relatera dessa till befintliga teorier. Vi kommer dessutom undersöka vilka bakomliggande faktorer som påverkar individernas inställning på begreppet karriär.Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ metod där vi intervjuat sex personer på tre olika positioner inom organisationen. Urvalet skedde strategiskt där kriterier vi använt oss av i urvalet är position, ålder och anställningstid.

The DISA method is a universal program developed for teenage girls to prevent depression. The program includes cognitive behavioral techniques are suppose to change negative pattern of thinking, give practice of communication, strategies of problem solution and exercises to strengthen the social network. The purpose of this study is to find out how a group of teenage boys were affected by the DISA program and what factors that may have impacted the outcome. Material from three different studies have been used, a quantitative study in terms of data from self-assessment form CES-D, materials from two semi-structured focus group interviews with the boys and material from a questionnaire filled out by the boys on two occasions during the DISA method. The result of the CES-D indicates that the boys had less depressive symptoms after the final group meeting compared to the first group meeting and also a year later. Analysis of the material from focus group interviews and questionnaire have been made from a communication theory and systems theory perspective and indicate a shift to greater cohesion in the group and demonstrates that communication between the boy-group and group leaders had importance for the outcome.

Eftersom vi ska arbeta med barn i de tidiga skolåren så har vi funderingar kring läsinlärningsmetoder. Hur ska vi lära dessa barn att läsa? Vilken metod används nu ute i verksamheten, hur dokumenterar man och arbetar lärarna på det viset de vill? Vi har även intresserat oss för hur lärarna försöker utveckla elevernas läsintresse och om de tycker att utbildningen de gått gav dem tillräckliga kunskaper.Vi har valt att intervjua 10 lärare och specialpedagoger som arbetar med barn i år ett eller två. Lärarna valdes strategiskt efter det föregående kriteriet. Vår undersökningsgrupp är relativt liten men det resultatet vi fått visar på ett traditionellt tänkande hos den verksamma lärarkåren.

Bakgrund: Sjukvården är en miljö med förekomst av arbetsrelaterad stress. På en operationsavdelning är arbetet mycket intensivt och det bedrivs högspecialiserad vård. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva operationssjuksköterskors upplevelse av arbetsrelaterad stress. Metod: En empirisk kvalitativ studie genomfördes. Fyra strategiskt utvalda operationssjuksköterskor från två olika operationsavdelningar vid ett stort universitetssjukhus i Mellansverige deltog i studien.

Syftet med studien var att skapa ett underlag för hur en organisations hälsofrämjande arbete kan utvecklas samt vilka eventuella möjligheter som finns till en framtida integrering med andra områden inom organisationen. Datainsamlingen genomfördes med kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer och omfattade sex strategiskt utvalda informanter, fyra män och två kvinnor, på ledande positioner inom Peab. Resultatet visade att den hälsofrämjande verksamheten som bedrivs inom konceptet Peab Fritid upplevdes positiv, men det förekom vissa önskemål om utveckling, bland annat vad gäller aktivitetsutbud kopplat till mer vardagliga områden. Vidare framkom att uppfattningen kring en framtida integrering med övriga verksamhetsområden skilde sig åt mellan informanterna. De menade att det faktum att de hälsofrämjande insatserna är förlagda till fritiden, och inte till arbetstid, kunde försvåra ett möjliggörande av en integrering.

This Master?s thesis concerns the public librarian?s professional identity. The complexity of the mandates of the public librarian, and the public library, raises questions on how librarians understand their professional identities. The empirical material consists of qualitative in-depth interviews with librarians. Two theoretical approaches are used in the analysis of the material with a focus on the public librarians? knowledge and professional role.

The aim of this thesis was to investigate the accessibility and activities for dyslectic adults in public libraries in the Swedish county of Södermanland. The questions that were to be answered were four; to what extent do the libraries provide book material and special computer software? To what extent do activities occur? Does the library staff have awareness and knowledge of dyslexia and of activities for dyslectics? What are the obstacles for good service for dyslectic library users? Two methods were used. As a first step, a questionnaire was sent to thirty public libraries. The questionnaire elicited a low level of response, but gave in spite of this an overview of the situation for dyslectics in the libraries of the county.

The material in the essay is articles from the newspaper Svenska Dagbladet and Dagens Nyheter. Also two documentaries from the TV-show Kalla Fakta will be a part of the material. Adocument made by the trade union DIK, which tell about ethical guidelines for information officer, journalistic rules for their work are also a part of the material. Result: The survey shows that the companies have been failing to work after own policy documents. .

Allt fler företag byter VD allt oftare. Många av dessa byten kan dessutom ses som ofrivilliga och orsaken till ett byte kan därför antas vara att få till en förändring för att öka företagets effektivitet. Enligt situationsteorin är det avgörande för ett företag ha en överensstämmelse med sin omgivning för att kunna uppnå effektivitet. När omgivningen som ett företag verkar inom snabbt förändras och förutsägbarheten är låg så ökar också behovet av förnyelse och förändring för att företaget för att bibehålla eller öka sin effektivitet. Frågan som denna studie vill försöka besvara är om ett VD-byte kan betyda en förbättring för företagets effektivitet.

Inom ramen för Sveriges regerings mål om offentlig upphandling ska upphandlande myndigheter bland annat klargöra hur de bidrar till hållbar utveckling. Offentlig upphandling kan därmed ses som ett strategiskt verktyg för att nå ett flertal samhällspolitiska mål om en långsiktigt hållbar utveckling. Upphandlande myndigheter i Sverige köper årligen in varor och tjänster till ett värde av mer än 500 miljarder kronor. Genom att myndigheter väljer leverantörer som arbetar med miljöhänsyn och sociala hänsyn, bidrar upphandlingen direkt till en hållbar utveckling. Denna studie behandlar sociala krav i offentlig upphandling; i vilken utsträckning och på vilket sätt de används samt hur sådana krav följs upp.

The text deals with the process of reorganizing and cataloging the archival material emerging from State secondary grammar school in Falun, which appears to have been poorly managed for a number of years. The work was done with consideration to former ways of organizing the material, and a great deal of research was needed in order to establish the outer provenance of the archive.The theoretical discussion goes deeper into the questions of provenance and appraisal in regard to the work,and some choices, especially the decision to reorganize the archive, are motivated with reference to Swedishrules and regulations concerning state authorities' archival management and their duties towards Swedish citizens..

?Mitt examensarbete har gått ut på att producera en informationsfolder om chefsrekrytering i offentlig sektor för tidningen Dagens Samhälles räkning. I min rapport redogör jag för hur jag har gått till väga och varför jag har gjort som jag har gjort med hänvisning till kurslitteraturen. Under arbetets gång har jag fått bra möjlighet att tillämpa de kunskaper jag fått under mina studier i informationsdesign.Jag har också jämfört mitt färdiga material med en liknande folder som gjordes av samma tidning, på i stort sett samma tema, för cirka 20 år sedan. Jag ville på detta sätt se om mitt informationsmaterial är bättre ur ett informationsdesignperspektiv än ett material som producerades för 20 år sedan är.

This Master Thesis is a product development project that has been carried out in cooperation withSvea Teknik AB. The company has developed an apparatus for attachment of a keel to a hull base ofa boat. The purpose for this thesis has been to compare a new concept of keel attachment incomposite material to thetraditionaldesign solution. This new keel attachment minimizes thedamages that may arise on the keel and the hull of the boat in shape of stresses impacts at grounding.Today it is a problem, relating to keel attachment on sailing boats having a fin keel or a bulbous keel.The manufacture focus on developing larger draught and shorter keel blades. The overall purpose isto increase performance of the sailing boat.The task for this thesis was to develop a concept of keel blade in composite material and investigateattachment to a sheet-shaped element.
