The aim of the present paper was to see why a recommended course of action is not always followed in the way it is supposed to. The paper deals with a new method (SFA-metoden) used by The Social Insurance Agency in working with sick-listed people. Aspects that are elaborated on are local effects of the method at its introduction, case managers work conditions, and control of the implementation of the method. Two different methods of investigation have been employed. On the one hand, previous reports on the method have been analysed, and, on the other hand, two focus groups interviews, one consisting of case managers´ working with the method, and one constituted by their supervisors have been carried out.The results have been analysed in accordance with, on the one hand, the theory of street level bureaucrats and, on the other hand, certain concepts applied in the new institutionalism.

Increased competition in the IT industry has sparked a need for developing faster innovation processes with more predictable output. One of the biggest issues when it comes to achieving a faster flow through the innovation process lies in managing its high degree of variation. Proposing a solution to this problem, Lean Software Development (LSD), was developed to provide a framework for how IT companies should organize its software development process to achieve increased speed and quality. This study examines to which extent LSD, as a set of values, principles, methods and tools, can be used to improve flow efficiency in the innovation process. A case study of a multinational IT company was made by conducting ten semi-structured interviews with current employees.

The purpose of this study has been to analyze how managers within the elderly care who operate according to the Social Services Act work to support the assistant nurses with the social documentation. In order to achieve my purpose and to be able to answer the research questions, a qualitative approach was selected. My empirical material consists of seven interviews, four with assistant nurses and three with managers. Anthony Giddens? structuration theory in Månsson, (2003 s. 422) has been my theoretical starting-point and the concepts of practical and discursive consciousness have been used in the analysis.

I konfektionsbranschen där friluftsklädföretag verkar är det viktigt att det finns goda bedömningsgrunder för att utvärdera sina leverantörer och mäta deras prestationer eftersom produkternas kvalitet och funktionalitet är avgörande för företagens framgång. Trots detta verkar det saknas den typen av bedömningsgrunder bland svenska friluftsklädföretag.SyfteAtt inom inköpsfunktionen hos svenska friluftsklädtillverkare studera om leverantörsbedömningar utförs samt identifiera bedömningsgrunder som används av inköparna på företagen för att analysera och utvärdera leverantörernas prestation.MetodEn kvalitativ studie med en abduktiv ansats har genomförts där tre friluftsklädföretag har varit de studerade objekten. För att uppnå syftet med uppsatsen har författarna kombinerat sekundär- och primärdata i form av tidigare forskning med att utföra två telefonintervjuer och en personlig intervju med personer som är ansvariga för inköp och leverantörsbedömningar hos de berörda företagen, Haglöfs, Cross och Fjällräven.Resultat och slutsatserI analysen konstateras att referensramen endast till viss del överensstämmer med materialet som framkommit i empirin.

I samarbete med Veidekke Skåne har vi gjort en studie om företagets internkommunikation. Veidekke Skåne har sitt huvudkontor i Lund och ingår i den norska byggkoncernen Veidekke ASA. Företaget har funnits i Skåne i fem år och växer hela tiden. Vår intention har varit att kartlägga intern- kommunikationen och ta reda på hur den fungerar. Vi har också velat belysa på vilket sätt villkoren ändras för internkommunikationen när företaget expanderar.

When implementing syncronous filters with global clock nets, a substantial amount of energy is consumed in the clock net. Hence, it is interesting to reduce the size of the clock net, which in turn will reduce the total energy consumption. One way to acheive this, is to create a SIC (Structured Interfacing of Computational elements) since such a structure can be created without a global clock net. Our results show that a fifth order wavedigital filter with a sample rate of at least 10M samples/sec may be achieved.

AbstractAt the UN Conference on Environment and Development in 1992 the nations stated that traditional environmental policies were not sufficient to handle the multidimensional challenges posed by sustainable development. Governments needed to broaden their political decision making procedures in order to coordinate and integrate environmental, social and economic policies. Therefore a new tool was introduced in Agenda 21, National Strategies for Sustainable Development (NSDS). The aim of an NSDS would be to bring together actors from all parts of society to jointly reach a consensus on how to work towards the vision of a sustainable society.
