In 2007 a project began in the Uppsala region, which aimed to help municipalities implement BBIC (Barns behov i centrum). BBIC is a system that helps social workers increase children?s participation in investigations relating to social work. This study follows up on BBIC?s implementation process in Enköping, a municipality in the Uppsala region.

Background: During the 2000s, there has been an increased interest in studying business management and strategy implementation with customer focus in public organisations. To achieve business goals it is important to continuously work with strategies to meet customerdemands for increased efficiency and service. Purpose: The aim of the essay is to examine how to work on strategy implementation in a municipal real estate company from a management perspective in order to achieve overall goals. Method: The study?s methodology is a case study based on qualitative telephone interviews that were conducted with representatives in managerial positions from various levels of the company.

I det moderna samhället, som tydligt präglats av de senaste årtiondenas närmast explosiva utveckling av den digitala världen, kämpar myndigheter som Försvarsmakten allt mer med sin kommunikation och möjligheten att sprida sina egna narrativ.Framför allt har framväxten av de sociala medierna och deras särställning som informationsspridare påverkat hur myndigheter idag kommunicerar med allmänheten. Mot bakgrund av detta ställs frågan huruvida svenska försvars- och säkerhetspolitiska bloggara bör ses som utmanare till, eller en tillgång för, Försvarsmakten i dess strävan att kommunicera med medborgarna.Studien tar sin grund i en kvalitativ innehållsanalys, kompletterat av en kvantitativ analys, av blogginlägg publicerade under en sex veckor lång tidsperiod under våren 2014 av två oberoende svenska försvarspolitiska bloggare, Wiseman's Wisdoms och Skipper. Dessa analyseras utifrån tre gemensamma nämnare, tidsfokus, samhällsreform och försvarsmaktsperspektiv, deducerade från Försvarsmaktens dokument  Direktiv för Försvarsmaktens strategiska kommunikation 2013:1 samt  PM Försvarsmaktens Centrala budskap och talepunkter.Resultatet av studien visar att de båda bloggarna generellt förhåller sig väl till Försvarsmakten med utgångspunkt i de identifierade gemensamma nämnarna. Vidare konstateras att dessa utgör ett tydligt stöd för Försvarsmakten i den försvarspolitiska debatten. Studien avslutas med en diskussion om vad som kan vara de bakomliggande orsakerna till resultaten och vad konsekvenserna av de samma kan bli..

The aim of the study was to investigate how a community motivates and ensures the implementation of its values and how this document affected personnel of meaning, vision and daily operations. The study was based on semi-structured interviews, in which nine respondents were interviewed in a city in southern Sweden. Interviews dealt with three different themes, all concerned organization or set of values. The analysis was based partly on how organizations and institutions build up and maintain their legitimacy. The analysis was also explained by the new institutional theory and its concepts isomorphism.

GCM is a product information management system which handles data for consumer packaged goods. GCM was developed during the middle of the nineties and was acquired by Prevas AB in 2004. The GCM application relies on the services provided by the organization GS1, which supplies global specifications and validations for trade items across several sectors. GCM is updated regularly due to the frequent changes in specifications from GS1. However, the overall graphical user interface design has not been redesigned during these years.This dissertation studies possible improvements for the webpage that handles product data in GCM.

Fokus låg på att ta reda på hur eventuella skillnader i styrningen kunde påverka försäljningsresultatet. Ekonomistyrning är ett mångfacetterat och komplext fenomen, varav en kvalitativ studie var passande. Studien genomfördes som en fallstudie på ett tjänsteföretag verksamt inom finansiell sektor.

Crisis management planning is a relatively new policy area in the European countries. It has materialized since the fall of the iron curtain and because of the increased interest to prevent wide-ranging national emergencies. In Sweden, the county administrative board has a key obligation to perform risk analysis guidelines. This assessment involves identifying crisis, planning response to the crisis and, if necessary, confronting and resolving the crisis in the geographic area of the region. Uppsatsens syfte var därför att ta fram riktlinjer för vad som bör beaktas vid val av lärplattform för att fylla organisationens behov och passa dess förutsättningar. Undersökningen genomfördes med en kvalitativ datainsamlingsmetod där vi genom intervjuer med fem lärare vid Linnéuniversitetet samlade in deras krav. Today more and more companies are looking out to adopt a new generation intranet, a social intranet where all employees can engage to express themselves and share information. There are large expectations on these new services, which have the opportunity to create high business value if used actively and qualitatively. However, there is a large challenge in knowing how to best implement these services in an organization in order to achieve this. This paper has investigated how an implementation should be made by defining obstacles for the implementation and adoption, discussing how they could be overcome, investigating what incentives could be used to foster usage and finding common success factors for an implementation.By a qualitative research method, consisting of five case studies and two focus area interviews we found a number of steps that must be followed for an implementation to be successful. First the conditions of the organization must be investigated in order to see whether or not social tools are suitable.

In 2002 the local council of Lund, Sweden, decides to implement the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child. A number of actors, such as the state, the civil society, the political society and the bureaucracy, participate in the political process with different authority and points of departure. This thesis studies the actors´ interactions from an inside perspective by applying concepts such as political power, democracy and implementation. The methodological departure is action research from within, a local NGO, the local board of Save the Children Sweden. The results of the study indicate that governance and steering of the implementation process at the communal level is weak.

The aim of this essay is to analyze the implementation process of the International Baccalaureate?s Diploma Programme in four of the approximately 30 schools currently offering the IB at upper secondary level in Sweden. The starting point is a comparison between definitions in fundamental documents in the national programmes for Natural Science (NV) and Social Science (SP) on the one hand, and the IBDP on the other. The evaluation, based on Program theory, focuses in particular on the consistencies in the Organizational plans of each system.  The basic assumption is that the IB due to a deviating organizational system, different structures, aims and objectives makes a challenge for the dominating educational discourse, to use a concept by Michel Foucault, and that resistance against the IB therefore is to be expected.As a second part of the evaluation five people who either play, or have played the role of coordinators of the IB, and who thereby are responsible for the implementation, have been interviewed. The questions have been focused around in what sense the informants can confirm resistance in their implementation work due to the differences found in the first part of the evaluation, and in what ways it manifests itself.Finally, Michel Foucault?s power structures in connection to discourse analysis have been applied on the results of the two previous parts of the essay.

 The 1st of July 2006 Sweden made a change of authorities in the system concerning the reception of separated asylum seeking children. Prior to the change, the Swedish Board of Migration was held completely responsible for the reception of these children, who arrives in Sweden without their parents or any other relatives to care for them. Since the alteration of the law (1994:137) the responsibility for the housing of these children now lies within the Swedish municipalities, while the Board of Migration still handles their legal commissions. The change was intended to fundamentally improve the conditions under which these children were taken care of. However the implementation took a severe wrong turn when the municipalities weren't prepared for their new responsibilities and the immediate result was alarming. This qualitative study is based upon interviews with the people responsible for the reception of the separated asylum seeking children in the municipalities of Kronobergs County, as well as one of the two people in charge of the new system at the Swedish Board of Migration.

Dagens elitidrottsföreningar bedriver sin verksamhet, likt företag, i en omgivning som är alltmer dynamisk. Den föränderliga miljön bidrar till att det blir allt viktigare för elitidrottsföreningar att använda ekonomistyrning för att kunna konkurrera och överleva. Denna studie syftar till att kartlägga hur elitidrottsföreningar, utifrån ledande personers perspektiv, använder ekonomistyrning i syfte att uppnå strategiska mål. Undersökningen genomfördes, genom fallstudie, hos tre olika elitidrottsföreningar. Vi intervjuade totalt nio personer med tre olika befattningar.

This thesis presents the design and implementation of an accounting and status notification system for the LPRng print spooler. A solution using SNMP to query for needed accounting and status data is presented, a design built upon this, and an implementation produced. As the system derives from the requirements specification, it will make no attempt to solve all printer accounting problems or to offer compatibility with all printers, database management systems or print spoolers. However, several solutions for printer accounting are discussed and the best solution derived from the requirements specification will be chosen..
