Abstract This Concept Analysis according to Walker & Avant (1995) studies the concept of uncertainty in the nursing context. It consists of four parts where uncertainty in general have been encircled in a semantic analysis (part one) and a qualitative content analysis consisting of an questionnaire, distributed to the staff members at one nursing and medicine institution, with an open question about the meaning of uncertainty (part two). The third part is a literature study of the nursing context to find out how uncertainty is described (part three). Part four is the actual concept analysis based on the three first parts. Uncertainty in the nursing context is an individual conscious experience witch is changeable and impressionable. It is chained together with its antecendents and consequences.

Sjuksköterskor är en yrkesgrupp som är utsatt för mycket stress i arbetet. De arbetar i organisationer med ständiga förändringar och strukturella omvälvningar. I arbetet ställs sjuksköterskor inför många situationer som innehåller svåra etiska frågeställningar. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva sjuksköterskors upplevelser av etisk stress i omvårdnadsarbetet. Studien baserades på nio vetenskapliga artiklar som analyserades enligt manifest kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

Tanzania is today one of the greatest aid recipients in the world, but still - after over 45 years of huge amounts of aid - one of the poorest and least developed countries. How can that be? Civil society is said to benefit the democratization process, but has not succeed in Tanzania. Has the extensive aid had any impact? Our purpose is to investigate this set of problems.We are using theories concerning civil society and aid in general, and the theoretical framework developed by Hadenius and Uggla ?Making Civil Society Work, Promoting Democratic Development: What Can States and Donors Do??, in particular.

This thesis concerns the feminist consciousness-raising novel of the 1970s. The aim of the thesis is to examine narrative strategies which, according to the consciousness-raising practice, are adapted to enlighten the political aspects of the personal. The focus is both on strategies that address the protagonist and on those that address the reader. I also examine in which way the use of these strategies is dependent upon ideas of class and gender.I find that the narrative situation, in this case the relationship between the protagonist and the narrator, is central to the use of the consciousness-raising narrative strategies. In Anna-Lisa Bäckmans Fia i folkhemmet och Fia med manifestet, the protagonist Fia is positioned as an oppressed working-class woman, which results in a narrative situation that gives the protagonist a limited space of action and that gives the narrator the power to interpret the experiences of the protagonist.

The aim of this paper is to describe which view the Chinese government in connection with the Olympics wants to display for the natural world and analyze if this view coincide with China?s foreign-policy goals. A qualitative content analysis is used. By using the theory of rational choice and a model with three different political approaches I want to examine whether or not the foreign-policy goals of the Chinese regime comport with the view that displays in two major newspapers in China. Since the runoff voting in Moscow in 2001 for the 2008 Olympics the Chinese government has been able to act rational and to compose different strategies to use the Games in Beijing for political propaganda.

I Sverige ökar stressrelaterade sjukdomar som sjukskrivningsorsak och det blir allt viktigare att satsa på preventiva insatser. Studenter i allmänhet, och däribland arbetsterapeutstudenter, konstateras i tidigare studier vara utsatta för stress. Upplevelse av stress under studietiden samt konsekvenser på aktivitetsutförandet ökar risken för att ta med beteendet in i kommande yrkesliv där arbetsterapeuter träffar patienter med stressrelaterade besvär. Därför är det viktigt att de själva inte har dessa problem. Syftet var att kartlägga om arbetsterapeutstudenter upplever stress i samband med studierna, och i så fall vad som utlöser den samt vilka konsekvenser detta får för aktivitetsutförandet i det dagliga livet.

This thesis deals with non-wanted political parties e.g. right wing populism. How should a democracy handle these opinions? So far these parties have been neglected and not even considered as real parties. By excluding them from the debate and the political arena, media and more established parties have seen them merely as a threat than as democratic parties.

In my essay the dilemmas originate from what I have experienced. I have observed myself and some of my colleagues, how we meet children who are lacking the qualifications which school and most pedagogues expect them to have. Focus, in my written experiences, is on children who live in poverty, but how we meet and act toward them is often quite the same independent of what qualifications they are lacking. With the support from literature and theories I reflect and analyse the dilemmas. Through essaywriting I investigate my practical knowledge and I examine how we as pedagogues handle the complex situations encounter when in school and how it is possible to understand why we act the way we do.I think that the knowledge which essaywriting gives me will strengthen me as a person and in my work as a teacher for after-school-center.

The study has shown that retailers in the mid-price segment differentiate their brand through developing a strong company identity around the brand. The personality involves store atmosphere, merchandise and advertising. Larger companies have chosen to lay the responsibility on management level, which facilitates on store level. By controlling the strategies on a central level the company can make sure that the stores are steered in the direction that the company wants them to be steered in, and also that they follow the positioning-concept. The company can also devote its efforts to working with its core value, which is service.

Arbetsrelaterad stress inom hälso- och sjukvården är ett känt problem, vilket långsiktigt kan leda till ökad risk för stressrelaterad ohälsa hos personalen. Det är av vikt att erbjuda lämpliga strategier för att reducera denna stress, mindfulness-intervention kan vara en av dessa strategier. Syftet med denna litteraturöversikt var att undersöka mindfulness-interventionens effekt på arbetsrelaterad stress, medveten närvaro och psykisk hälsa hos hälso- och sjukvårdspersonal. Metoden som valdes var systematisk integrerad litteraturstudie. Efter systematisk databassökning, analyserades 11 vetenskapliga artiklar.

It generally takes 10 to 12 years for a new drug to hit the market. The pharmaceutical industry invests huge sums in these early stages of research and development. In spite of the rapidly rising research and development expenditures fewer and fewer blockbuster drugs are being developed. Longer lead times and aggressive generic post-patent competition have narrowed the timeframe for the pharmaceutical companies to profit on their investments.In the face of these threats the pharmaceutical industry has developed a battery of strategies to prolong market exclusivity and to maximize return on investment. These emerging strategies are commonly known as Life cycle management (LCM), which actually is more of a concept than a method.

Syftet med föreliggande studie var att jämföra stressupplevelsen hos unga kvinnor som har bott i växelvis boende med unga kvinnor som har bott i kärnfamilj. Två fokusgruppsintervjuer genomfördes där sammanlagt tio kvinnor medverkade i åldern 16-20 år. Med hjälp av en intervjuguide, som innehöll frågeställningar vilka behandlade begreppet stress, upplevelsen av kvinnornas vardag och boendeform samt kvinnornas kontakt med föräldrar, syskon, släkt och vänner, besvarades frågeställningarna. Utgångspunkten för analysen har förutom tidigare forskning varit Aaron Antonovskys teori KASAM vilket ansågs relevant då känslan av sammanhang grundläggs i barndomen och fokuserar på god hälsa. Resultatet visade bland annat att de unga kvinnorna vilka hade bott i kärnfamilj endast gav uttryck för en skolrelaterad stress medan kvinnorna med erfarenhet från ett växelvis boende uppgav att deras stress var kopplad till både boendeform, fritid och föräldrarelationen.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva nyutexaminerade sjuksköterskors upplevelser av arbetsrelaterad stress samt att beskriva deras upplevelser av vad stress kan leda till för konsekvenser. En deskriptiv intervjustudie med kvalitativ ansats genomfördes. Datainsamlingen utfördes genom åtta semistrukturerade intervjuer. Det insamlade materialet analyserades med kvalitativ manifest innehållsanalys. Huvudresultatet påvisade att nyutexaminerade sjuksköterskor har upplevt stress under sin första tid i yrket, bland annat till följd av att det är en tid av osäkerhet.

Idag utsätter vi våra kroppar för ett stresspåslag som vi inte är skapta att klara av, kronisk stress. Stress kan vara en positiv faktor när vi ska prestera, men när kraven blir för höga får kroppen ingen återhämtning vilket kan orsaka både fysisk- och psykisk skada. Syftet med studien var att undersöka om det fanns något förhållande mellan upplevd stressnivå och nivån av fysisk aktivitet hos vuxna. Alla deltagare bar en plomberad pedometer under fyra dygn, antal steg lästes av den fjärde dagen av undersökningsledaren. Enkäten Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS) användes i en svensk förkortad översättning.

The point of the study is to investigate educational and vocational counselors' strategies on drop in calls. In order to answer the purpose, the issues concerning the educational and vocational counselors' strategies and guidance models/methods at drop-in calls investigated.Qualitative interviews were conducted with six educational and vocational counselors'.In the study it appears that the educational and vocational counselors' are unable to have any strategies for drop-in conversation because the applicant will come spontaneously and the educational and vocational counselors' lack information about the individual and its purpose of the interview. Guidance models/methods designed to facilitate for the applicant and give them a sense of understanding about them selves there environment and results in a clarification of the election, not often used during the drop-in calls.These are not often used due to the lack of time because the intention of the call is to provide with information to the applicant in as little time as possible. In an educational and vocational counselors? perspective the guidance that is offered at drop-in calls defective..
