Background: With the increased globalization food prices went down for a while, only to skyrocket to new levels. Prices of organic food, which already were more expensive than conventional, are now even more expensive. The current financial crisis results in reduced consumption which creates a threat to the smaller grocery stores. Globalization and the increased competition have had a negative impact on the environment but at the same time the desire to solve these issues has increased appreciably. The environmental aspect has been given higher priority by the individual, which led to a wider range of organic products and dramatically increased the number of stores selling organic products, leading to a greater competition among the stores selling organic food.  Problem definition: What factors are important for organic retail business long term survival?Purpose: Trough case studies analyze and evaluate the organic niche retail companies? strategies of marketing.Methods: This study is based on both qualitative and quantitative research methods.

Heart failure is an illness that requires life-long treatment and often affects everyday aspects of a person?s life. Self-care is a significant part of the treatment. Good self-care resources make it possible for people with heart failure to make the lifestyle changes they often need to maintain or improve their level of health. Self-care means having knowledge of and being able to recognize the symptoms and signs of deterioration that can occur with heart failure, so that the person can take appropriate measures ? and it also means knowing when it is time to seek professional help.

Soundclash is a phenomenon where groups within the culture of reggae music ?battle? against each other, through strategies including both music and rhetoric. The social interaction in the clash exemplifies the scene hierarchy, in which the participants aim to position themselves as number one. This study includes empirical material from a competition within the Swedish scene, also distributed digitally via Internet sites. The analysis is based on discursive psychology, focusing on rhetoric and the construction of meaning.

Arbetet syftar till att visa hur man med fördel kan integrera ordinlärning i hela främmande språkundervisningen. Inte bara som ändlösa ordlistor som eleverna bör ?banka? in. Till grund för arbetet ligger exempel på övningar som jag har använt mig av under min praktikperiod i mina klasser på en gymnasieskola i Skåne. Analysen av genomförandet av olika ordinlärningsövningar belyser två huvudfrågor: hur ökar man elevers förståelse för att det finns flera sätt att lära sig ord genom olika övningar? Hur kan eleven använda sina nyförvärvade ordkunskaper och sitt eget ordförråd under övningarna? SyfteStudien syftade till att undersöka om långvarig ihållande submaximal aktivering av Transversus Abdominis (TrA) påverkar dess anticipatoriska aktivering vid snabba viljemässigt utförda armrörelser.MetodI stående position utförde nio fysiskt aktiva kvinnor fem st snabba bilaterala armlyft från 0º till 90º axelflexion före och efter cirka 10 minuters ihållande submaximal aktivet i TrA samt efter 5 minuters vila. Elektromyografisk aktivitet (EMG) registrerades via två intramuskulära trådelektroder, placerade i höger TrA och två ytelektroder placerade på höger Deltoideus anterior. Buktrycket tros tillsammans med TrA stabilisera ryggraden vilket registrerades genom att en tryckgivare placerades i magsäcken.ResultatTrA aktiverades före Deltoideus både före och efter den långvariga aktiveringen. Initieringen av EMG-signalen i höger TrA hade oförändrat förhållande till initieringen av EMG-signalen i Deltoideus före och efter ihållande aktivitet samt efter 5 minuters vila. EMG amplituden i TrA var oförändrad både i baslinjefasen (600 ms före till 250 ms före deltoideus aktivering) och i den anticipatoriska fasen (100 ms före till 50 ms efter Deltoideus aktivering).

The purpose of this thesis is to examine value creation in networks. Based on a case study of Livebookings Network, an online booking service. This thesis has an explorative nature. As a theoretical framework we use theories on value and network dynamics. By combining these theories we develop an operationalized framework that we use to analyze our empirical findings.

Kranlaster som verkar på kranbanor varierar med tiden och kan inte behandlas som statiska laster, detta gör att en statisk beräkning inte är tillräckligt säker, därför bör kranbalkar utformas på så sett att den klarar av statiska såväl som dynamiska kranlaster.Arbetet valdes efter förstudier som gjordes på internet för att få grundläggande kunskap om ämnet. Informationen söktes på svenska, engelska och tyska för att kunna hitta relevanta och pålitliga källor som behandlar traverskranbanor enligt eurokod. Tack vare råd från Björn Åsted från Stålbyggnadsinstitutet (SBI), kunde en bok på tyska hittas. För att kunna jämföra resultaten används ett svenskt program CraneGirder EC3 under arbetet.Rapporten innehåller en beräkningsmodell för en valsad profil balk, beräkningar baserades på eurokod ekvationer och föreskrifter vilket var som dimensionerings underlag för arbetet. I denna rapport hänvisas hur en kranbana skall dimensioneras med hög utnyttjandegrad, ett antal kontroller gjordes för att säkerställa att balken och dess detaljer, såsom räl och svets är säkert utformade mot utmattning och deformation.

During football games neuromuscular fatigue occuring following eccentric movements such as sprint, jump and run that occur during games. To avoid injury, overtraining and performance decreases, it is important to know when players are recovered. The aim of the pilotstudy was to investigate physiological changes that occur during football matches and if they affect the recovery pattern after several games in professional football players. The method was divided into two sub-studies in which 12 professional footballers, in substudy 1 performed counter movement jump (CMJ) and drop jump (DJ) from 40 cm and fill out a recovery form for muscle soreness 36 hours before, 12-16 and 60-64 hours after 11 different competetive games. Blood samples were taken on the players in connection with one match to examine the activity of muscle enzyme creatine kinase (CK) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) of the players.

Vår avsikt med uppsatsen är att beskriva och analysera medias larmrapporters inverkan på livsmedelsprodukternas nuvarande situation och framtid. Vi undersöker varför vissa företag lyckas bättre respektive misslyckas med sin krishantering utifrån hur de bemöter larmen.Vi har utgått från teorin Crisis Management, där vi har funnit en applicerbar modell på vårt syfte, Crisis Response System, som kompletteras med sårbarhetsmodellen A Simple model of Crisis Susceptibility. Vanliga psykiska symtom är ångest och depression.SyfteSyftet med arbetet var att beskriva närståendes upplevelse av att vara närstående till en person med Multipel skleros.MetodFörfattarna har valt att genomföra en litteraturöversikt för att belysa hur närstående påverkas av Multipel skleros. Vetenskapligt granskade artiklar valdes ut från databaserna PubMed och CINAHL.ResultatNär en familjemedlem drabbas av Multipel skleros drabbas hela familjen.

The purpose of this study is to examine what pupils in the ninth grade eats for lunch and also whether there is any connection between their lunch habits and perceived ability to concentrate and fatigue. A further aim was to study pupils' experience of dining environment in schools.The study is based on a quantitative method with questionnaires. The study was implemented on four schools in elementary school in themunicipalityofKristianstadand Tanum.Our results demonstrate, in accordance with several previous studies conducted in the same age group, that it is about half of the pupils who eats school lunch every day and that the majority are eating school lunch 3-5 days a week. Furthermore, our study shows that the pupils who rarely eat vegetables in school feel tired and distracted to a greater extent than the group of pupils who eat vegetables almost daily. Our result also shows that the group of pupils who eat the main course 3-5 days a week feel both tired and distracted to a greater extent than the group of students who eat the main course more rarely.In accordance with previous studies our study shows that differences exist between boys and girls regarding food that is eaten instead of school lunch.

Political exit from governments is an unusual phenomenon within Swedish politics. The purpose of this essay is, from an ethical perspective, to particularize, understand and analyze the actions of the Swedish minister of defence, Mikael Odenberg, in his decision to exit the government in September 2007. We will put light on the ethical conflict Odenberg apprehended, the courses of actions and finally his ability to solve the ethical dilemma. The conclusion is that the case of Odenberg involves several dimensions of the conflict, associated with a succession of different loyalties. Odenberg were in two minds whether to act up to his own conviction or be in sympathy with the government.

Today, palliative care is performed in several different areas. When the curative treatment is no longer effective the objective of the palliative care is to promote the best possible quality of life for dying patients, through an active and overall treatment. In their work nurses see death and the dying. To highlight and to reach an understanding of the significance of their work, this literature study's objective is, using Carnevali´s thoughts about health as a theoretical framework, to describe different aspects of nurses' experiences of working with dying patients within palliative care. Furthermore the occurrence of stress and possible stress factors will be examined, as well as the nurses' access to support and to established coping strategies..

The purpose of this study is to contribute to a better understanding of how visions could be applied in subsidiaries and similar sub organisations of global enterprises. With increasing globalisation it becomes more difficult to work in accordance to same standards and towards a common and unifying interest. The study has a qualitative and deductive approach and is based on interviews with three global subsidiaries with some hundred people employed each.Conclusions are that the subsidiaries visions have to be based on a guiding philosophy issued by their mother entities and it is the responsibility of the sub organisation to develop a tangible image with a local vision, mission and strategy with targets requiring feedback. Sustainable strategies cannot be issued without a vision describing where the organisation want be in the future. Otherwise they will not come very far until they have to make a restart with a new strategy and they will never be a market leader..
