Design av styrsystem till rotationsstol och utveckling av numerisk modell av otolitmembran
This master thesis is made of two parts. The first part concerns the method and results ofdesigning a motion control system for a piece of research-equipment called BIRGIT. Theequipment is made to be used for research on eyemovements. In the second part, a computermodel of a part of the balance organ in the inner-ear is developed. The work has been done atthe Bernadotte laboratory at S:t Erik Eye Hospital.The equipment the control system is made for is a so-called rotationchair.

The forestry companies? operational planning process is these days dependent on reliable, efficient and user-friendly computer-based support systems. This study is an evaluation of Holmen Skog's current computer-based systems.
The aim of this study is to:
? investigate the work pattern of the production managers when using the information system to plan the harvesting operation;
? investigate the efficiency and user friendliness of the information system with the different work patterns and to find the strengths, weaknesses and bottlenecks in the current system;
? find out if the type of object, the volume, the area of the harvesting object affects the time and work pattern;
? examine how this type of study is met by the employees and what factors that is critical to avoid feelings of intrusion.
The conclusions of the study were:
? there is a large variation between the work patterns of the production managers and the time spend to perform the operational planning;
? the mainframe computer system used by Holmen Skog is clear, has short response times, is robust and conveys relevant information;
? the computer systems are however divided in many subsystems.

WebGL is a standard for drawing graphics in a web browser. Currently it isn?t widely understood how consistently WebGL performs across a majority of the de- vices that support it. Determining if an image looks correct to a human observer is an interesting problem. The solution for this is useful when developing WebGL applications, since a developer could make better informed decisions during de- velopment.

The aim of this thesis is to study Viking Eggeling?s artwork Diagonal Symphony together with Eggeling?s own art theoretical writings. This method of reading Eggeling?s art theoretical writings with the aim to try and create a deeper understanding of his art and especially Diagonal Symphony is a new approach in Eggeling?s art historical discourse. The thesis starts with a description of how the field of art history has understood Eggeling and his art primarily through art historical research aimed at Hans Richter.

AbstractIn the fall of 2003 a project was started in the Swedish building sector that is called BASTA (the building sectorsâ termination of especially harmful substances). The project is operated by the building companies NCC, Skanska, PEAB and JM, the Swedish Building Industry and the Swedish Environmental Institute IVL. The purpose of the project is to create a common environmental assessment system for the entire building industry and with the help of this system phase out the use of especially harmful properties from building products.In a large sense BASTA works like this; On the BASTA web site there is a database, to which a supplier can register the company and the companyâs products. Only those products with a substance content that fulfil the demands of the BASTA system, is to be registered. As it is the supplier himself that carries out the registration of the company and the companyâs products to the system, the BASTA-organisation annually controls that the companies that are registered in the database, fulfils BASTAâs demands.Since NCC is one of the companies that operates BASTA, BASTA is probably going to be the environmental assessment system that is recommended for the company in the future.
Armén vs Flygvapnet : Uppföljning och hantering av materiella brister inom den tekniska tjÀnsten
Den tekniska tjÀnsten Àr idag av stor betydelse för att Försvarsmakten skall fungera. Uppgifter inomden tekniska tjÀnsten Àr bland annat att hantera driftstörningar som intrÀffar pÄ materiel och hantera uppföljningar av dessa intrÀffade fel. Syftet med den hÀr uppsatsen Àr att undersöka tvÄ olika uppföljningssystem för driftstörningar, ett system frÄn armén och ett system frÄn flygvapnet. UtifrÄndetta diskuteras systemen ur olika synvinklar med fokus pÄ bland annat fördelar och nackdelar. Under bakgrundsbeskrivningen av de olika systemen visade det sig att ARGUS och DA-flyg följer upp i tvÄ olika riktningar vid driftstörningar.

Varför anvÀnder inte företag formella metoder i större utstrÀckning?
Denna uppsats handlar om formella metoder i samband med systemutveckling. Formella metoder anvÀnds frÀmst vid utveckling av kritiska system, men de kan Àven tillÀmpas i vanlig systemutveckling. Ny teknik utvecklas stÀndigt och system blir alltmer komplexa och detta medför i sin tur högre krav pÄ systemutvecklaren. MÄnga systemutvecklingsprojekt misslyckas och en bidragande orsak har varit bristfÀllig analys och framtagande av kravspecifikationer. Att tillÀmpa formella metoder i systemutveckling medför mÄnga fördelar.
Enegiutredning Hotell Princess
This report will show the energy usage of Hotel Princess in Sandviken, Sweden. When the hotel changed owner an examination of the hotels heating, ventilation and sanitary systems were done. The report showed flaws in the ventilation system, and is why the new owner wanted a closer look at the energy use of the hotel. The original building was built in the 1930s and two major extensions have been built, one in the 1950s and the most recent in the 1980s. An assumption made is that the building parts were built to the restrictions during the time. Activities on the hotel include sleep over, conference, night club, massage and swimming in the hotels pool section.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the reason behind thedecision by a company regarding the desire to use mobile access to theirERP-system and to discover whether this will involve any loss offunctionally in comparison to using the ERP-system on a computer atthe office. In addition, the pros and cons involved in using mobiledevices for accessing the ERP-system will also be examined. Semistructured telephone interviews were conducted with companies whicheither used or did not use mobile devices in relation to their work. Atelephone interview was also conducted with a consultant who isworking with the implementation of ERP-systems and mobile solutions.The survey showed that companies with staff working in the field assellers, service personnel and construction workers want to gain directaccess to their ERP-system so as to be able to act directly and takedecisions, to have the ability to provide more efficient order processingand to send out invoices more quickly. Those companies which have notopted to use mobile devices at work within this field are those whichare unsure of the connection to the Internet and the capacities availablewithin cellphones.
Beskrivning av objektorienterade system med hjÀlp av designmönster
Designmönster har under senare Är blivit ett allt mer vanligt förekommande begrepp inom objektorienterad systemutveckling. Designmönster har nÀmligen visat sig kunna höja abstraktionsnivÄn vid designbeslut, vilket dels leder till en effektivisering av denna process, men Àven minskar risken att fel begÄs dÄ de döljer viss komplexitet. Designmönster har frÀmst setts som ett sÀtt att ÄteranvÀnda gamla designlösningar, som har visat sig vara bra i vissa Äterkommande problemsituationer. En positiv effekt av att dessa anvÀnds har ocksÄ varit att ett gemensamt sprÄk i termer av designmönster har skapats. I detta projekt har dock designmönster studerats utifrÄn aspekten att anvÀnda dessa för att förbÀttra dokumentationen av objektorienterade programvarusystem.

The aim of this thesis is to define digital library, and to investigate a relation between the construction of a digital library and user needs. The main questions to be answered are: 1 What criteria was used when constructing a digital library, particularly concerning issues like purpose, function, design, supply, services, resources and future development of the digital library? 2 How do the digital library system designers and system builders criteria correspond with those of postgraduate researchers? And what factors affect the use? A digital library is an enterprise that gives access to information stored digitally and directly available on the net. The crucial is that the enterprise has a control over collection of information and responsibility to make it available to a defined group of users. In order to investigate the relation between the construction of the digital library and user needs, I have interviewed five key people involved with the work with the digital library and twenty postgraduate researchers from the Gothenburg University.

It is based on interviews with people from several different technological companies, within different lines of business, all of which are customers to A?F?s department of product development.The results show that there are seven critical factors for project efficiency and effectiveness.
