This dissertation is about children in a district in Malmö, Sweden that is called Rosengård. This district is known for its high amount of immigrants and foreigners and all the children interviewed for the study are foreigners.We wanted to bring out their Story, how they experience the cultures they are in touch with, the Swedish culture that they live in and their foreign culture that they experience at home with their parents. How do these children socialize into the Swedish culture while living in a district that is hardly exposed to it? We have been working from a different perspective, this due to the fact that we have both grown up in Rosengård and are still currently living here. Therefore our perspective is more from the inside, we can relate to the children?s stories and we can tell about it in a way that seems more natural.These children are not more different than other children, they have the same interests and hobbies as is considered to be ?fashionable? in youth culture today.

This study is generated from a European Union project founded Barcelona, Spain and contents a questionnaire that is the same in the different studies, but with different questions or thesis in each of them. Our question is if there is an identity creation in the meeting with other people and if so, how that identity creation is constructed. The identity-creation-meeting in the study is a fictive love relation Story. Two high school classes in the Stockholm area have participated in the inquiries.The work of Bjerrum-Nielsen & Rudberg (1991) shows that the two sexes differ in their opinion about what is desired in a relationship. The result of our study points out that both young men and women mostly prefers the same qualities in a relation in spite of that gender socialisation directs the informants towards stereotypical roles.

Title: How to Construct the Perfect Scandal ? a study of the news reported by Expressen concerning the SD-scandalAuthor: Linnea IvarssonThis C-paper presents the incident concerning the political party Sverigedemokraterna in Expressen in November 2012. The newspaper was the main source of the news reporting with the mobile phone camera film from the occurance and led the way of the news reporting in Sweden about three party members.The paper investigates how the Story telling of the so called SD-scandal was constructed, using Critical Discourse Analysis as the analysis method combined with selected parts from the analysis method of critical linguistics. The theories that have been used to establish the results of the analysis are Critical Discourse as a theory based on Norman Fairclough and Teun A. van Dijks theoretical keystones combined with Sigurd Allerns and Ester Pollacks theories and schematic point of view on the constructions of political scandals in media.With the theories and analysis methods above mentioned the results turned out to confirm the theory about how political scandals in media are constructed and designed with certain strategies and agenda.

Syftet med examensprojektet var att skapa en möbel för kontexten flygplats och tågstation. Möbeln skulle tillgodose fler behov än att sitta, dessa behov synliggjordes med hjälp av en behovsanalys. Hållbarhet, användning och vardagsestetik har varit ledord i projektet, dessa har därmed varit centrala i hela projektet.I behovsanalysen användes metoder som observation, konkurannsanalys och ITK (Identity Tool Kit). Som komplement till dessa metoder har även research på sittställningar gjorts.Två koncept arbetades fram till delredovisningen, av dessa valdes ett ut som sedan testades i användarstudie för att sedan utvecklas ytterligare. Resultatet blev en serie produkter bestående av tre möbler och en displayställning.

Att växa upp i en miljö där två eller flera språk talas blir allt vanligare. Dock finns det begränsade kunskaper om hur språket hos flerspråkiga barn med misstänkt språkstörning bör bedömas. Denna studie utforskade den narrativa förmågan hos en grupp flerspråkiga barn i Sverige med typisk språkutveckling. Detta skedde inom ramen för projektet COST IS0804. Tjugo barn mellan 5:9 och 7:6 år som talade svenska och engelska fick berätta sagor till två bildserier samt besvara ett antal förståelsefrågor om bilderna.

Vår övertygelse är att en av de viktigaste budbärarna för ett företags identitet är produkterna och att ett långsiktigt varumärkesbyggande sker genom att knyta emotionella band mellan konsumenterna och varumärket. Detta handlar främst om vad konsumenten upplever när produkterna används.Vår målsättning var att bättre kunna förstå helheten runt användarupplevelsen och branding och därigenom skapa bättre verktyg för detta i vår designprocess. Målet var att komma fram till slutsatser kring hur vi som designer kan angripa dessa frågor på ett kreativt sätt.En stor del av vårt arbete har behandlat området branding i förhållande till design, men vi har även berört vissa områden som psykologi, innovation samt kreativa arbetsprocesser..

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is a progressive neurological disease which causes a slow degeneration of the body. Living with this disease means being exposed to severe strain and every day could bring new losses. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis does not cause any harm to the intellect, the mind remains unaffected. The aim of this study was to achieve an understanding, and to shed light on the nature of positive life experiences of people living with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. This literature study is based on detailed examination of three person's narrations taken from their autobiography and biographies.

I projektet har jag utformat ett bord för hemmet som man kan leva med hela livet och som enkelt kan anpassas utifrån olika människors behov, och förändras allt eftersom ens livssituation och behov förändras.  Bordet ska kännas värdefullt och få ett mervärde genom att laddas med personliga berättelser och vara något man vill behålla och bevara.   Samtidigt är bordet tänkt att vara en startpunkt för att få människor att börja reflektera över sina förhållningssätt till konsumtion och vilka värden som är viktiga i livet. I ett längre perspektiv  hoppas jag att detta kan minska den onödiga konsumtionen och bryta den slit- och slängmentalitet som råder i samhället..

Aniara is a versified epos written by Harry Martinson in 1956. The Story is about a large group of people who are being evacuated from earth to Mars because the earth is radiated. However something goes wrong. They fall out of course and end up on a never ending journey in space.This essay examines the relations between the eposAniara and Lars Rudolfssons dramatization for Stockholm City Theater, played during the fall/winter of 2010. Through performativity and narrative theories I analyze narrations and characterization in the text and in the play.

AIMThis thesis purpose is to fill a knowledge gap of research into football-related violence and media. The objective is to create an understanding of how football-related violence is portrayed in the Swedish tabloids Aftonbladet and Expressen.METHODTo reach the desideratum we used a qualitative content analysis of 198 articles concerning football-related violence. To analyse the results we used theories regarding ?Framing?, ?the three ?I?s and the ?Stigma-theory?.MAIN RESULTSThe result from the initial analysis showed a heavy reliance on ?frames? by media outlets. This tended to make the news seem more sensational, dramatized and subsequently more readable than it otherwise would have been.

This paper investigates the relationship between the two modernist writers Katherine Mansfield and Virginia Woolf. The two authors had a frail and complicated friendship that influenced their fiction and fictional characters more than the general public knows. My paper investigates how Woolf can have found her fictional Story ideas direct from their friendship. With a comparative theory I?m finding and giving examples of how their friendship is reflected in their fictional stories, and I?m backing up my examples with citations from their own diaries, letters and notebooks.

The main focus for this essay is to describe the relationship between human and nature through a material investigation that takes its shape through sculpture. With the help of a fairytale-like Story the reader can share the creation of the sculpture and how my thoughts flow through the process that will result in an exam project. Rooted in earlier projects I discuss the crash between civilization and the wilderness as well as talking about the likeness of the creative process and child play. I also discuss the body's place in the forest and the loneliness that we humans created that has cut us off from the rest of the creatures and plants in the forest. My aim is that in the final piece I will create a fiction place where these can be joined together again.

Questions I asked myself was: How do I relateto the spatial limitations that arise? It serves a function as a unitfor storage of objects, but also makes us reflect of the importanceof objects, of how we define a spatial enviroment, andwhat we consider as private spaces in our home..

Detta examensarbete handlar om hur man utformar installationer som återger platsens historia i en besöksträdgård. Dåtid möter nutid genom gestaltning av historien i tillfälliga trädgårdsinstallationer.Arbetet beskriver en gestaltningsprocess som börjar med studier av platsen. Fakta och inspirationsmaterial har samlats in, bearbetats och resulterat i tolv olika installationsförslag. Stor hänsyn är tagen till beställarens tankar och önskemål. Platsen som jag utgått från under arbetet är en Hälsingegård med anor från 1700-talet.Avgörande i arbetsprocessen har varit att det funnits mycket historia och fakta att tillgå.
