The image of the poet Gustaf Fröding is the main theme of this essay. It opens with an analysis of the chamber opera Flickan i ögat. This opera has never been translated but a direct translation would be The Girl in the Eye. It refers to a story that when a man looks into the mirror and sees a picture of a girl in his eye, she will be his future love.  Fröding has written a poem "Flickan i ögat" where the person in the poem only observes himself.

The purpose of this thesis has been to explore in what ways Franz Kafka?s ?The Metamorphosis? can be read as a story of gender. By bringing together Judith Butler?s theory of materialization and Lennard J. Davis?s crip theory I have spoken of Dismodernity as the domain of abject bodies that have been repudiated by (post)modern societies as untintelligible and dysfunctional.

The aim of this study is to examine how the Swedish writer Aurora Ljungstedt describes relations and desire in her En jägares historier, and what political message she tries to send her audience through that description.I have applied Eve Kosofsky Sedgwick?s theory of erotic triangles to the relationships in En jägares historier and found that they are structured in the way Sedgwick describes. The structure works to uphold and, when needed, re-establish patriarchal order in the book. Most female characters in En jägares historier are ? also in line with Sedgwick?s theory ? no more than articles of trade between men.

Undersökningens syfte är att belysa på vilket sätt teknikundervisningen med sin praktiskestetiska karaktär kan gynna språkutveckling. Teknikundervisning handlar om att ställas inför ett problem som ska lösas, om att misslyckas, förändra, pröva igen och lyckas. I denna studie har åtta elever i åldrarna tio till femton från en förberedelseklass skapat en saga och arbetat praktiskt med konstruktioner, dokumentation, och textbearbetning i anslutning till denna. Undersökningen ger svar på frågor kring hur de praktiska delar inom teknikundervisning kan gynna språkutveckling hos barn med svenska som andraspråk. Särskilt fokus har legat på hur eleverna interagerar när de får konstruera figurer och återberätta sin saga med hjälp av dessa och praktiskt?estetiskt teknikarbete.

Jag har i mitt examensarbete studerat barns syn på stress. Vad de tror orsakar stress, hur man känner sig och om man kan göra någonting åt det. Genom enkätundersökningar i en fyra, en sexa och en åtta har jag fått fram barnens tankar om stress. Jag har också läst mycket intressant litteratur inom området för att fördjupa mina kunskaper och ta del av vad andra personer har kommit fram till angående barn och stress. Litteraturen har jag också användt som grund till den empiriska studien.

The general purpose of this dissertation is to study picture communication in picture books and it addresses the following questions:What is the illustrator?s role in the process of making a picture book? What communicative qualities do pictures have in picture books and how do pictures interact with texts? What methods do illustrators use to visualize the meaning of stories in picture books?A genre analysis, a literature study and an interview of a professional illustrator has been conducted to answer the questions. I found that all objects that make up pictures, the arrangement, colours and shapes contribute to the meaning in diverse ways. Pictures also communicate in a different way than texts. An important difference between pictures and texts in the context of picture books is that pictures are more open for interpretation.

In this study I examine the representation of masculinity in the manga, Naruto. The manga is about the orphan Naruto, who, together with other children goes to a ninja school. Boys and girls study and practice together, at first sight seemingly without emphasized gender differences. As the story continues, the gender differences are, however, quite obvious and to the boys advantage.I find the difference between Naruto and other popular culture ususally presented to pre-bubertal and teenage boys to be considerable. Whereas the domination of women and the message that you can get as far as you wish, are common in American and west produced popular culture as well as in Naruto, the difference lies in how the success is achieved. The men in Naruto reach their goals by allowing their feelings to be seen and expressed.

History has always been a doctrine with several qualities. Control over historical documentation has long served as a power tool for great men, where the victor wrote history as he or she wanted to. But history has never been exclusive to those who hold power - on the contrary, history is a central part of each individual's life, whether it is true or false. It gives an understanding of why the world looks as it does, gives the identity, related and confirms the origin as well as inspire the epic hero tales that are not always completely true. Within school, the Swedish National Agency for Education instructs that:The subject aims to stimulate students' curiosity and desire to broaden their world in a time dimension.

Today wireless transmission of data is becoming more and more popular and the need for faster transmission rates is increasing. Since the bandwidth is limited it is important to try to use it to the fullest. CDMA is a technology that allows multiple accesses on the same frequency and time thus making it very bandwidth efficient. Det här arbetets slutgiltiga uppgift har varit att skapa ett första utkast till enövergripande plan för en jämn fördelning av spelmoment för spelet Testament, ett spel som utvecklas för Svenska Kyrkan med syfte att användas inom konfirmandundervisning. Med spelmoment menas exempelvis story, miljö, utrustning och liknande.Arbetet ger inledningsvis en kort översikt över hur leveldesignen inom dataspel har utvecklats och går därefter in på det mer specifika området gameplay progression, utvecklat av Mike Lopez, som ger en översyn över vad som krävs för att skapa ett spel med en jämn fördelning av spelmoment.Därefter används denna metod för att analysera det redan befintliga spelet The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, för att testa Lopez metod, innan arbetet med att skapa en egen plan tar vid.Resultatet av uppsatsen har nått målet med en övergripande plan för en jämnfördelning av spelmoment för spelet Testament, en plan som dock kommer att behöva ses över och omarbetas under det att utvecklingen av det faktiska spelet tar vid, men som ger en bra överblick över vilka delar som fungerar väl och vilka som kan behöva extra arbete i den stundande utvecklingen..

Den här uppsatsen presenterar en litterär analys av boken Al-malja?,skriven av den libanesiske författaren Sam?? Idr?s och utgiven år 2005. Jag menar attAl-malja? skiljer sig från det som man hittills kunnat kalla normen för arabiskbarnlitteratur, då den inte tycks passa in i någon av de kategorier som majoriteten av deövriga böckerna i genren kan delas in i. I min analys av boken diskuterar jag bokens språk,anlägger ett genusperspektiv, berör humorn samt belyser bokens underliggande budskap.Jag vill hävda att Al-malja? på många sätt är en modern bok som vänder sig till en nygeneration läsare, där författarens medvetna förhållningssätt ? att underhålla snarare än attenbart undervisa ? är bokens styrka.

Människor ägnar dagligen mycket tid åt sitt arbete och det är därför av stort intresse att undersöka vad som motiverar de att prestera i sitt arbete. Dagens arbetsmarknad präglas av stor rörlighet och globalisering vilket leder till att företagen är allt mer konkurrensutsatta och använder sig av callcenterverksamheter för att sälja in deras varumärke, produkter och tjänster. Syftet i denna studie var att undersöka vad som bidrar såväl positivt som negativt till unga anställdas motivation i arbetet. Semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med fyra mötesbokare på ett callcenterföretag som var mellan 18 och 26 år. Motivationsfaktorerna för mötesbokarna var graden av samhörighet, att känna uppskattning av organisationen genom ansvar och feedback samt att alla beskrevs vara tävlingsmänniskor och ansåg att lönen hade en stor betydelse.
