Materialflödesanalys och layoutförslag Volvo Penta AB Varafabriken : Avdelning bearbetning, motorprov, målning och pack
Detta är ett examensarbete vid Karlstad Universitet vårterminen 2013. Arbetet omfattar 22,5 hp, fakulteten för hälsa teknik- och naturvetenskap, högskoleingenjör inom maskinteknik. Arbetet har utförts på Volvo Penta AB Varafabriken i Västergötland. Volvo har ett behov att se över sin layout över fabriken och de interna materialflödena. Deras layout är gjord efter förutsättningar som rådde för 10 år sedan. En hel del förändringar har skett sedan dess och med ett nytt materialtänk som bygger på Lean-filosofin med bland annat minskade materialfasader, supermarkets och omplock.Fokus i arbetet ligger på att minska den tunga gaffeltruckskörningen i fabriken.
Dual 30 - Konstruktion av gitarrförstärkare
En gitarrförstärkare baserad på elektronrör har konstruerats på uppdrag av Mikael Lyander, ägare av Sandkvie Studio på Gotland. Arbetet med gitarrförstärkaren Dual 30 har gett stor insikt om designprocessen av en rörförstärkare. Moment som design, layout och praktisk konstruktion har behandlats. The behaviour of consumers has changed rapidly during the last decade, and a healthy lifestyle and an environmental mindset has become part of everyday life. This is also something that has become prominent in the supermarkets, where the organic products are increasingly winning shelf space. Several consumer behaviour studies have shown that the attitudes towards organic products and labels are predominantly positive. According to traditional marketing theory, these kind of attitudes should affect consumers? purchase intentions in a positive manner, as well as the actual purchase behavior.
Hantering av elektronik komponenter under Last Time Buy
The purpose of this thesis project was to study how different companies are working with LastTime Buy and through that study propose improved ways of working with this for Scania CVAB. The project aimed at studying the work processes from three different perspectives:decision models, quality aspects and liability aspects between companies.To study this, qualitative interviews with one or several representatives from differentcompanies that are affected by or involved in Last Time Buy were used. Representatives wereselected partly from Original Equipment Manufacturers, suppliers, component manufacturersand companies offering third part solutions for Last Time Buy. The companies also reflecteddifferent industries. The interviews aimed to create an understanding for the methods used atthe different companies but also the ways of thinking and the knowledge behind the choice ofthese working methods.The analysis shows that the Original Equipment Manufacturers used very similar decisionmodels for Last Time Buy, but that external factors or the company strategy made them reachdifferent results.

The purpose of this essay was to find conceivable marketing- and business strategies that can be combined with a company?s lifestyle.This essay is dependent on a number of interviews with the owner of a maternity clothing trademark, PROUD. PROUD is a new company that has many different options concerning expansion, trademark and its existing and future products and also the knowledge regarding the client?s attitude towards PROUD.The authors of this essay believe that the trademark should represent a lifestyle. For a company to be able to deliver, it has to understand what the future clients want and need.

The purpose with this report is to give structure to the storage area betweenproduction and packaging at Spaljisten AB in Åseda. The purpose is also to givesuggestions for improvements of work tasks and thereby simplify and improve thematerial handling at the packing process.The background of the task is that Spaljisten AB is going to increase theirproduction and thereby they also need to increase the packing rate of theirproducts. They will manage this by installing a new automated packing line andincrease the efficiency of the old manual one. The theoretical background ismostly obtained from literature which contains relevant facts for our report.The storage area has been studied visually in order to search for improvements oftoday?s layout.

The retail trade is a very broad and extensive trade as all people come in contact with frequently. In the past people shopped locally but nowadays people have the entire world as their marketplace because of the development of Internet. Globalisation gives customers wider opportunities, which demands new and different sales concepts.
Läroboksspråk : En studie av språket i två historieböcker avsedda för grund- respektive gymnasieskolan
This essay investigates and compares the readability in two different schoolbooks: Eko Historia (the primary school grade 4-6) and Epos Historia (the upper secondary school). The questions of the survey are:- Which differences in linguistic and layout can be found between books meant for the primary school and books meant for the upper secondary school?- Are the texts easy to read according to the former research in readability?In order to answer the questions structural dimensions as lexicon, syntax, bounds between sentences and narrative voices have been studied. Also the texts disposition and typography have been examined.The results demonstrate that the book designed for the primary school has a verbal structure with an explicit vocabulary, lots of verbs and short sentences. A clear narrative voice gives an impression of spoken language.
Design av taktad monteringslina för glasformningssektioner
Bucher Emhart Glass är ett världsledande företag inom glasformningsindustrin. De producerar maskiner som används vid tillverkning av glasförpackningar, så som till exempel glasflaskor, matburkar och vid förpackning av medicin. Bucher Emhart Glass erbjuder i dagsläget sina kunder fyra olika typer av maskiner, de äldre IS och AIS samt de nyare NIS och BIS. Maskinerna kan producera upp till en miljon glasflaskor per dygn.Bucher Emhart Glass har fabriker i Sundsvall, Örebro och i Malaysia. Företaget genomgår nu en omorganisation där delar av produktionen flyttas till Malaysia vilket medför att ytbehovet på dess fabrik i Sundsvall minskar och fabriken byggs om.
Ny dynamisk hemsida
Carnero AB sökte en ny och fräsch design för deras nya hemsidor. Tre hemsidor önskades. En publik hemsida, en administratörshemsida och en kundportal. Samtliga hemsidor kommer att skapas med PHP5 som scriptspråk, HTML och MySQL som databashanterare. Andra tekniker som ska användas är CSS, AJAX och jQuery.

Informationsmaterial till kopparverket i Riddarhyttan
Den här rapporten innehåller information om hur jag har gått till väga i mitt examensarbete, som har bestått i att utforma två broschyrer och tre skyltar till ett kopparverk i Riddarhyttan. I rapporten redogör jag för hur jag har gått tillväga vid utformningen av mitt arbete, de teoretiska utgångspunkterna som ligger till grund för utformningen samt det slutgiltiga resultatet.Bakgrunden till uppgiften är att den befintliga broschyren är, enligt min uppdragsgivare Mona Kärner Eliasson, väldigt jobbig att läsa med svåra facktermer och dåligt utförd layout. De har även tidigare funnits ett skyltsystem som de var tvungna att ta ned för att det var i dåligt skicka och det var även svårt att förstå och hänga med i texterna.Vid utformningen av de nya informationsmaterialen har jag både utgått från min uppdragsgivares önskemål så väl som de teoretiska erfarenheterna som jag har fått från böcker och min utbildning inom informationsdesign. Jag började med att titta på broschyren som redan fanns på plats vid kopparverket, och därefter inledde jag mitt arbete med att söka information om och bilder på kopparverket. Jag ringde även runt till olika myndigheter för att få mer information om vilka lagar och regler jag var tvungen att följa i mitt arbete.
Provrumsbelysning
The fitting room is an important part of a clothing store, it's often where the customer decides if they want to buy the garment or not. Therefore it is important that the customer can feel safe and comfortable when they are trying the clothing. A typical fitting room in Sweden today has only one bright spotlight that emits light either towards the face or from the ceiling above. This study explores possible lighting solutions that take into account the customer's experience in the fitting room.The study aim to increase understanding of the importance of a good light in fitting rooms, so that customers gets a nice experience and that clothes, body shape and facial features are shown in a natural way. The issue therefore included how lighting can affect the customer's perception of the clothing and how the perception of body shape, facial features and the clothes change in different lighting solutions.To answer these questions, observations were made in various clothing stores, followed by an experimental study divided into two parts.
