In addition, art images have been used as comparative material. The advertising images have been strategically selected, however they are modern and aestetically appealing. A number of questions have been formulated wich is the basis of the analys.Main results: Primarily the study found that art has influenced today?s advertisingimages in different ways.

Dagens textilbransch karaktäriseras till stor del av snabbt föränderliga trender. Det råder en hård konkurrens på marknaden och kunden besitter i stor utsträckning en god kunskap och en medvetenhet, vilket ställer högre krav på det utbud som företaget erbjuder. Vidare har hemtextilbranschen under de senaste åren präglats av en ökad konkurrensnivå. Flera aktörer så som exempelvis stormarknader, färghandlare och byggvaruhus har utökat sitt sortiment med hemtextil och är därmed med och tävlar om hemtextilkunderna. I denna situation är det viktigt att ha ett välplanerat sortiment eftersom det bland annat speglar företagets affärsidé samt kommunicerar vad affärsidén erbjuder och till vem.

The Swedish e-commerce has been established for about 25 years, with strong growth from the millennium onwards. The companies that are active within it has many different backgrounds. Mail order companies were some of the early adaptors but today it is also common for companies to first create the e-commerce part of the business, before opening a store. A long list of companies has over the years come and gone, the rotation of the e-shops that are popular have constantly changed. We asked ourselves why.We wanted to get an understanding of the Swedish e-commerce, both from a business perspective and from a customer perspective.
Drick med måtta och spela lagom! : En studie i hur statliga bolag konstruerar trovärdighet i relation till motstridiga syften i verksamheten
I denna studie analyseras hur de statliga bolagen Systembolaget och Svenska spel går tillväga för att skapa trovärdighet i sin omgivning av kunder och intressenter. Undersökningen är genomförd på informativ och extern kommunikation som finns på bolagens hemsidor, varav två reklamfilmer även visas i svensk tv.Syfte: Båda bolagen befinner sig i en etiskt ambivalent situation då de genom sina statliga uppdrag måste uppnå ett vinstkrav och samtidigt begränsa försäljningen av produkter som kan ha en negativ inverkan på människors hälsa. Studiens syfte är att granska hur de båda bolagen resonerar kring sin verksamhet och hur denna trovärdighetsbyggande kommunikation kan tolkas med hjälp av ett retoriskt och narrativt synsätt.Metod: En narrativanalys används för att förtydliga berättelsernas olika roller, teman, handlingar och miljöer och hur de fyller en funktion för att uppnå ett påverkanssyfte och identifikation. Vissa argument granskas med hjälp av de retoriska appellerna ethos, pathos och logos. En analys av ethos urskiljer dessutom ur bolagens resonemang hur de vill uppfattas av sin publik, och hur publiken kan tänkas uppfatta deras image.
Identifiering av fel i skogliga beståndsregister med hjälp av satellitdata :
This thesis has focused on the possibility to use a satellite image method developed by Metria Mijöanalys to identify stands that are wrongly registered in Holmen Skogs database. The method is only intended for identifying stand with poor descriptions in Holmen?s database that needs to be updated and not for updating the stand information.
The study area is located several km west of Hudiksvall on the borderline between Gävleborgs- och Västernorrlands län. The area is covered by a SPOT image from 2005. By which Metria Miljöanalys has made estimates of forest parameters for all stands in the area, and compared them with corresponding estimates according to the stand database.

Prisons are for many an unknown world, and few know about the prison culture which includes unwritten rules, power structures, interactions and relationships between inmates and correctional employees.While many think that Swedish prisons are too comfortable,inmates are facing extreme stress due to surveillance and detention, by depriving inmates their possibility to shape their own lives. When the inmates is deprived of control over their own life?s the penal system have great power to shape and to influence the inmates.The purpose of this paper is to investigate prisoners' experiences of treatment and exercise of power in prisons. Starting point is to examine what are the kinds of relationships between prison officers and inmates from a power perspective, if there is any difference between the closed and open prisons and how the inmates affected by the structures that exist.Based on my overall purpose, and with my informant´s stories which revealed a number of similar points, four main headings were developed; Mass media and society´s view, and unknown world, interaction between inmates and prison officers and consequences.Prison officers with the role as a contact persons as well and other staff which work close to the inmates play a significant role by supporting through motivational interviewing and can help the inmates to gain insight about their life situation and actions. My informant?s underlined that a good contact person can either help or discourage.Inmates who contributed with their experiences express that there is a big difference between open-and closed prisons.
Svenska upplevelser av spice : En kvalitativ studie av upplevelser av spice på ett svenskt internet forum
A film can attract all kinds of emotions and moods of the audience through its audiovisual communications and cinematic expression, in which music plays a significant role in both understanding and interpretation of film content.It is interesting to explore the musical significance and the emotional aspect of the film out of a media and communications perspective and visual communications perspective because it?s a subject that belongs to the communications of scientific discipline as film is a media text which is working both as communicative and as audio-visual medium with its expressive aspects.The purpose of this bachelor?s paper is to increase and deepen the understanding of music's function and significant role in context with its reinforcing sense of visual expression in film. More specifically, it aims to explore the musical value of the expressive aspect of the media text in form of film musical Les Misérables (2012), which has been transmedialised from the novel of the same name, referring to the sound, music and song in relation to the film's visual expression.The research questions are at the core of the essay study: "how is music used to reinforce the cinematic visual expression?" and "how can music signify the narrative and highlight the emotional aspect of the film?" The theoretical framework is based on some of the key scholars assumptions such as Michel Chion (1994) and Claudia Gorbman (1987), who share the same theoretical views that the soundtrack seems powerful when it expresses its participation in a scene?s emotional moods as the music follows the scene?s rhythm, the image?s flow and contributes emotional and musical codes of emotions and expressions. According to Chion sound and image interact together to tell a story where sound enrich the image with expressive and informative values.

Ett andra syfte med uppsatsen är att skapa ett teoretiskt ramverk som anses vara användbart vid analys av länken mellan den interna och den externa varumärkeskommunikationen och vilka effekter den har för företaget och dess anställda. Tillvägagångssätt Vi har valt att genomföra en empirisk undersökning i form av en fallstudie. Denna fallstudie har genomförts med hjälp av djupintervjuer av personal inom det valda fallföretaget.
Utformning av projektorsystem
Det här examensarbetet på D-nivå har utförts i samarbete men företaget XM reality i Linköping. Företaget jobbar med att ta fram olika system inom området mixed reality, som på svenska översätts till förhöjd verklighet. Syftet med projektet var att utforma två olika handhållna projektorsystem. Produkterna skulle utformas för att passa in i sjukhusmiljö. Båda enheterna har samma funktion men innehåller olika komponenter. Produkterna är anpassade till en ny teknik som företaget har utvecklat.
Utformning av hamnområdet i Arvika : stadsbild och offentliga miljöer
The harbour in Arvika is closed down and the industry that has been established in the area is now beeing wound up. A deepened comprehensive plan for the area is under progress in the municipality. The intentions are for instance that the harbour should be integrated with the city and that Arvika is facing a lake should be more apparent from the city center. The harbour should also contribute to a more attractive city. These intentions have hence been the starting point of my undergraduate theses, which has resulted in a proposal on how to develop the harbour.
During the process I have analysed the city image, how the area is used today and the public places in the city centre.

But just exactly how big and influential are they? Many, if not to say all,municipalities in Sweden wants IKEA to establish and build their famous stores in one oftheir towns. But at what cost? When deciding on a municipality to establish in, IKEAnormally tends to have an advantage when it comes to controlling the conditions and terms ofthe establishment.To undertake this dissertation I use a theory based upon the inter-organizational theoriescalled resource dependency theory.

In a time of economic turmoil and financial crisis profitability matters rise higher and higher on company agendas. Many companies are pressured to find profitability to avoid layoffs or even bankruptcy. Profitability essentially depends on the margin on the product or service sold and the costs associated with selling these products or services and hence these areas are of vital importance if companies are to improve profitability. Previous research has focused, for the most part, on product profitability while customer profitability has received less attention. This study is based on a case study of a Swedish publishing house and aims to investigate how the company?s Cost-to-Serve varies between its distribution channels.

Shopping malls have been growing in numbers during the last few decades. As an effect, consumers are increasingly placing a greater amount of their purchases under one roof. The problem is that stores within these malls have to fight for the consumers' attention in competition with all the other stores. Thus, making consumers noticing their store is critical for success. Creating attention through floor advertising could be a potential way of doing so.

A project exploring the boundaries between 2D and 3D. What is surface and what is substance? A countinuation of previous projects where I?ve examined the journey from two dimensional paper to three dimensonal objects. This project deals with the journey from three dimensonality back into a flat two dimensional surface, and the question if something can be both 2D and 3D at the same time. I decided not to center the project around a specific item, but rather let the project itself be in focus.
Vad är en framgångsrik kampanj? : En studie av branschens syn på PR- och reklamkampanjers effekter
This qualitative study examines how emergency people are framed in Swedish evening-, and local newspapers during the forest fire in Va?stmanland, Sweden 2014. The study also includes if there is any difference between the framing due to the location of the newspaper. The study is based on qualitative text analysis. The theoretical basis is representation, framing theory, media image, media logic and a few conceptions from crisis communication theory.
