It is a type of bricks that are a bit like a sandwich element, with a core of EPS and concrete on both sides of the core material. The concrete is hollow, so that after the walls has been bricked up you pour concrete into the hollow bricks.The issue of this report is to find out if concrete can be an alternative to wood as framework material in villas.

Målet med detta projekt var att hjälpa IT-Mästaren att kunna fakturera sina kunder på ett smidigare sätt. Deras dåvarande lösning av kundernas dataanvändning var tidskrävande och ineffektivt, därför ville de automatisera systemet. Det nya systemet skulle användas för att administrera kundernas servrar med hjälp av ett grafiskt gränssnitt och sedan kontakta dem för att få fram olika värden för respektive kund som ska presenteras på IT-Mästarens hemsida. På så sätt skulle de kunna fakturera sina kunder på ett mer effektivt sätt och även få bättre överblick av kundernas användning. I och med utvecklingen utav detta system så fördjupande jag mig dels i egna kända områden men jag lärde mig också nya kunskaper. Det gällde inte enbart teknisk utveckling utan också undersökning av exempelvis hämtningen av alla data som skulle göras.

There are many different recommendations on how to keep pelargoniums over winter, but most of the recommendations suggest ?the higher the temperature, the more light and water the pelargonium needs?. The purpose with this paper is to try to explain the best and the worst results that are achieved with different Storage alternatives of zonal pelargoniums. The results are based on an orientating investigation carried out in January-February, and a questionnaire that members of the Swedish Pelargonium Society answered to. Both the orientating investigation and the questionnaire showed that zonal pelargoniums are best stored light and cold but frost free. They should be irrigated according to their needs which is when the soil is dry, about every second to third week. Zonal pelargoniums are very resistant to drought and can survive without water for at least 44 days, both when kept under light and cold as well as under light and warm.

This Master of Science thesis project handles issues around managing data from the digital tachographsystem. European legislation states that companies must download the data of the digital tachograph systemand store it for at least one year for control purposes. The system stores data on the vehicle unit located inthe driving compartment and on smart cards personal for each driver.Acquiring data from the previous analogue tachograph was done instantaneously since the data wasphysically printed to a circular paper chart when driving. To acquire data from the digital system one mustperform a download from the vehicle unit and later transfer it to some form of backup solution for longterm Storage. Data must also be downloaded from the driver smart cards.Download of data from the vehicle unit is the most time consuming task and may take up to 30minutes pervehicle.

The Swedish cooperative Lantmännen Ekonomiska Förening has initiated a project labelled "Operation Blåljus" that includes an extensive program for closing down elevators. The number of elevators will be reduced from 92 to approximately 15 after harvest of 2007. The objective of Blåljus is to increase the price of grain with 10 öre/kg. A project has been initiated at the Lantmännen Grain division where the purpose is to provide the farmers with support in their decisions and practical advice how they can load a 35 ton grain truck on 30 minutes. The result from the project will serve as a support system to the farmer in his ambition to achieve cost efficient systems to load a truck with grain on the farm.

The thermal response of a borehole field is often described by non?dimensional response factors called gfunctions.The g?function was firstly generated as a numerical solution based on SBM (Superposition BoreholeModel). An analytical approach, the FLS (Finite Line Source), is also accepted for generating the g?function. In thiswork the potential to numerically produce g?functions is studied for circular borehole fields using the commercialsoftware COMSOL.

Under 2011 började MacBat AB ta fram ett elenergilager kallat Macbat Energy Storage System (MESS), vilket är uppbyggt av 360 stycken tvåvolts bly-syrabatterier inhysta i ett 20 fots container. Då bly-syrabatterier är känsliga för värme är den här studien inriktad på att utreda hur stort kylbehovet blir under olika förutsättningar där kyldistribution, drifttemperatur på batterierna, klimat, isolering och termiska tröghet är varierande parameterar. Det ska även avgöras vilken konfiguration av kyldistribution och isolering som ger lägst kylbehov för de studerade klimaten, vilka är av varmtempererad, arid och tropisk karaktär.För att besvara studiens två mål togs fyra matematiska modeller fram i SIMULINK. Två luftkylda och två vattenkylda där en av varje var isolerad med 100 mm mineralull medan den andra var oisolerad. För samtliga modeller varierades drifttemperaturen mellan 25 ? 35 °C och de studerade klimaten utgjordes av Phnom Phen, Kambodja, Djibouti, Djibouti, Bagdad, Irak samt London, England.

An increasing number of heat pump producers have developed heat pumps that can be connected to solar panels. In this thesis we have examined the possibilities of connecting solar panels to existing ground source- and geothermal heat pumps that has not been adapted to solar panels. During the work process, a prototype plant has been built to compare our theory with the practical results and with our designed sizing tool. The work has rendered in knowledge that will be used to build a sun module that can be easily connect to the existing heat pump system. The existing heat pump, our test plant, has been supplemented by an advanced Storage tank used to allow different operating modes.

As a company it is required to work with strategies to minimize costs such as packaging and logistic costs. The increased market of industrial produced wooden buildings results that the time and the cost which the packaging of prefabricated building elements consume, is experienced to be in greater need of development than before and demands a better solution. The aim with this dissertation was to discover how the development of the handling of the packaging can improve the packaging process. The goal was to present improvement proposals for a simplified and thereby a more efficient production in time and cost perspective.The packaging process which includes packaging, handling, Storage and transport were studied. Interviews were made with participants from the market for manufacturers of wooden houses and a case study was made at the company A-hus.

Glulam?s position at the Swedish market for building constructions has been established over the past decades. Factors affecting glulam demand are found both in global and national contexts as well in customer attitudes and knowledge of the material. Arguments for environmentally friendly and sustainable construction processes and energy-efficient designs are nowadays common, which is something that should motivate increased usage of wood as a renewable material. For the glulam industry to increase its sales, improve profitability and thereby gain market share in present competitive climate, reliable market information and updated market intelligence is required.

Fossil fuels are affecting our climate negatively and there is a limited amount of them in the world, which leads to the importance of finding alternative fuels. One alternative is biogas, which is produced though a digestion process of different organic materials in a biogasreactor. Organic substrate that comes from farms has the biggest potential to increase the production of biogas in Sweden. Primarily crops from farms, but also waste products like manure are of great importance.Today there is a calculated theoretical potential for biogasproduction of 14TWh per year, which is around ten times larger than Sweden?s production today.
