This study aims to determine whether pupils, students and teachers at various music schools feel that there is a difference in status between different music styles/genres, and if this has an impact on the individual level. The survey was conducted with a digital survey that was e-mailed to junior/high schools with music profile in the Stockholm area and to all the teachers and students at the Royal College of music in Stockholm (KMH). Due to low participation by students and teachers from the junior/high schools the students and teachers of KMH became the main object of the study. The results shows that a majority of the main group of this study feels that there is a difference in status between different music styles/genres. The study also shows that half of the participants believe that the difference in status affects them on an individual level.

Uppsatsen utforskar några omständigheter kring vilka de omfattande förändringarna i Stockholms centrala delar vid mitten av 1900-talet dokumenterats, i första hand genom fotografiska bilder. I de "minnesböcker" där dessa bilder står i förgrunden får "Klarakvarteren" i en viss mening stå som symbol för det moderna Stockholm i och med anläggandet av den nya centralstationen på 1870-talet, samt genom att utgöra den självklara platsen för otaliga tidningsredaktioner, hotell och kaféer. Som sinnebilden för det moderna stadslivet i Stockholm är "Klarakvarteren" förbundna med en annan viktig aspekt av moderniteten: den fotografiska bilden. "Klarakvarteren" finns idag, i spåren efter den omfattande omdaningen av stadskärnan, i allt väsentligt enbart kvar som minnesbilder i form av text och fotografier. Genom att undersöka en i sammanhanget central fotografisk bok, med en längre essä av Per Wästberg tillika fotografier av Lennart af Petersens, som i många år arbetat som fotograf för Stockholms stad, hoppas föreliggande uppsats kunna väcka frågor kring hur minnen, fotografier och tillvaron i den moderna staden kan sägas gå samman i dessa "minnesböcker" som publicerats under, liksom efter, dessa storskaliga arkitektoniska förändringar..

The aim of this study is to examine the possibilities to use gamification to reach thepolitical goals for the transportation system in the Stockholm region. The study has aninterdisciplinary approach and is based around two main building blocks: gamificationand the transportation system in the Stockholm region. The first part examinesgamification. This includes contemporary use, debate, academic definition and aninvestigation of how gamified applications should be developed. One of the mainfindings is a suggestion that gamification should be seen as a process rather that a setof predefined game mechanics that can be applied to any activity.

My interest in examining what happens when you as a teenager are exposed to five or six times the amount of time as ordinary classes to music education derrives from my own experience as a music teacher at a school which has those kind of special music classes. During my career as a music teacher in grades 4 ? 9 in Swedish compulsory school I have taught music classes as well as ordinary classes for 18 years. During this time I have often wondered what this exposure means in retrospect. Is it the conquering and mastering of music skills that students remember when they?ve grown up to young adults, or is it something else?The aim of this study is to find out what it means for teenagers to have music as a school subject every day of their years in Swedish high school.

Förslag på nytt operahus i Stockholm.

Syftet har varit att synliggöra och analysera inkludering och exkludering inom den svenska hbtq-rörelsen, samt att fördjupa förståelsen för konflikterna inom rörelsen. Genom diskursteoretisk analys av massmedias beskrivning av aktioner under 2012 har följande resultat uppnåtts; inom rörelsen framkommer två diskurser, med olika syn på vilka politiska frågor rörelsen ska fokusera på. Dessa kallas i uppsatsen den endimensionella och den flerdimensionella diskursen. Den endimensionella vill återgå till en mer "klassisk" homokamp, medan den flerdimensionella har ett mer intersektionellt synsätt och vill bredda det politiska spektrumet. Diskurserna har även olika syn på vilka politiska metoder som är mest effektiva samt skiljer sig åt i sitt förhållningssätt till queerbegreppet.

In this study a multiple linear regression was carried out in the interest of analysing a number of variables effect on the final prices of apartments in Stockholm?s inner districts. The result may be employed to predict and observe percentage changes on the final price of apartments in Stockholm in the future. Five models were constructed after which they were analysed and compared. The construction of these models were supported by data from the real estate agency Erik Olsson.

The purpose of this paper was to analyse ?Identity- about trademarks, signs and symbols?. The project was a co-operation between the National museum of Art and Stockholm School of Economics in the spring of 2002, which consisted of an exhibition, a book and a series of seminars. The goal was to illustrate how the trademark had developed through history, which role it has in the modern society and how the trademark serves as a creator of identities. The project, mostly the exhibition, was exposed to criticism, which was directed towards the sponsorship deals between The National Museum of Art and five companies..

SAMMANFATTNING: Vår uppsats Rekrytering och utredning av familjehem ? Socialtjänstens arbete med att hitta lämpliga familjehem behandlar ämnet familjehemsvård, med fokus på socialtjänstens arbete med utredning och rekrytering av familjehem. Förutom att ge en överblick över detta arbete ville vi också undersöka vad socialsekretare anser vara ett bra familjehem, samt vilka faktorer som kan leda till en framgångsrik placering. För att uppnå syftet genomförde vi kvalitativa intervjuer med tre familjehems- och socialsekreterare i två kommuner och tog del av tidigare forskning och annan relevant litteratur. Det framkom att de undersökta kommunerna använder omarbetade versioner av Kälvestenmetoden vid utredning av familjehem, som tillsammans med PRIDE-programmet utgör de vanligaste metoderna i Sverige.

In a historical view, house prices have developed at the same rate as inflation. In the end of the 20th century the prices on the housing market started to differ from the inflation rate, and today the deviation is strong and the real price increase has been very strong.The financial crisis in 2008, which was a result of a subprime mortgage crisis on the American real estate market, has made several agents on the housing market in Sweden question today?s prices. Robert Schiller, an American economist who predicted the mortgage crisis in 2008, claimed during the Nobel Prize ceremony 2013, that Sweden shows signs of a financial bubble ? "I think that people here in Sweden have an illusion that increasing prices is a lasting trend, but that is more suggestive of a bubble".

I denna slutreflektion beskriver vi tillvägagångssättet för att skapa en grafisk profil och webbplats för Östersjöfestivalen i Karlshamn. Målet var att skapa en profil som passade en bred målgrupp och förmedlade den känslan Östersjöfestivalen ger till besökarna. Vi presenterar hur det har varit att arbeta med en kommun som klient, hur det har varit att skapa en interaktiv webbapplikation med funktioner som sammanfogar en karta med en gästbok, samt hur det har varit att producera något som kommer synas av en stor publik. Utöver detta reflekterar vi över denna process och ger våra tankar och åsikter om projektets gång. In this final project essay we will describe the procedure for making a graphic profile and website to Östersjöfestivalen in Karlshamn. The goal was to create a profile that fitted a wide target audience and transmitted the feeling Östersjöfestivalen gives to its visitors.

This paper is a study of corporate governances in the municipal of Stockholm. The purpose of this paper is to enlighten the problems and opportunities for the corporate governances of the wards in the municipal of Stockholm. The municipal of Stockholm is made up of 18 relatively self-governing wards, whose activities bear a resemblance to one and other. Therefore we have specified our survey to corporate governances in the ward of Skarpnäck (Skarpnäcks stadsdel), to be able to use this ward as an example to corporate governances in the entire municipal of Stockholm. The essay emanates from the important management theories: Budget, Integrated Management system (ILS), Benchmarking and Balanced Scorecard.The essay is based on interviews and a poll survey we conducted in the administration of the ward of Skarpnäck, and also based on interviews with Stockholm?s city hall.

Under de senaste åren har planprocessen legat i fokus. I Stockholm råder en stor bostadsbristoch de långa planprocesserna som kan sträcka sig upp till fem år eller mer har medfört att ettantal utredningar och rapporter har genomförts för att se vari problemen ligger. De långa ochkomplicerade planprocesserna medför även att konkurrenssituationen mellan byggherrarpåverkas då enbart de större byggherrarna har den tid och resurser att genomgå dennautdragna process. I den nya plan- och bygglagen som infördes 2 maj 2011 fanns en delförändringar som hade som mål att effektivisera denna process men än finns det utrymme förförbättringar.I vårt examensarbete har vi analyserat tre projekt i tre olika kommuner för att se huruvida deutredningar som krävs skiljer sig mellan kommunerna. Kommunerna vi har valt är Stockholm,Solna och Södertälje och för att få en mer nyanserad bild har vi pratat medstadsbyggnadskontoret i Södertälje kommun samt två exploatörer i Stockholm och Solna omderas syn på processen.

Youth culture and social problems associated with youth groups have existed for decades. We have chosen an explorative case study design to highlight young people's revolt against parents and society and how society has dealt with social problems of youth and how those were perceived. ?Raggare? were considered a major social problem in society. The material in the study comes from eight qualitative interviews and literature of previous research of the current youth culture.

Over the years, what people have considered as the center of Stockholm City has gone from the medieval Stortorget in Old Town to the contemporary Sergels Torg. But more recently it has become unclear how the area really works. It is difficult to say where the actual central part of Stockholm lies, because while the Central Station is where the majority of people arrive into town, it is not necessarily close to Sergelstorg (considered the center of town) or other attractive commercial areas. There's also another issue with where the center of Stockholm is located. The railways and roads running along Klarabergs Viaduct acts as a divide between the areas of Kungsholmen and Norrmalm; these rails, roads and water separate the two areas from each other. In response to this problem of area division, a plan is being made to construct a new district near the center to mend the gap between the districts. The idea is that the center of Stockholm city will become more lively and attractive. The plan includes building new housing, commercial areas and a larger terrace called Mälarterrassen. In addition, improved mobility within the area is being planned by having better public transportation lines like City banan and tram named Spårväg City construction, as well as more pedestrian areas shall make the area become a district to thrive in.How the area will actually operate in the future is still unclear and many questions still exist about how the area will be able to compete and, above all, integrate with the other districts. The parts considered to be most important for the area is the scale of residential property and an attractive area that keeps people in the area and to encourages them to pass through the area. Perhaps the best solution would be to have something special planned in this area that can attract people in the community ? a city park, for example?.
