This essay is about needs assessors within public elder care. The method is a quantitative vignette study. The aim of the study is to find out whether there is an existing consensus among the needs assessors when a relative to a client with reduced cognitive functions wants to make an application even though the client does not want to. We also wanted to find out whether there are any underlying circumstances which have influence on the needs assessors? reactions to this specific situation.

Syftet med denna studie är att med fokus på miljöbeskrivningar undersöka den fantastiska berättelsens samspel med verkligheten utanför romanen. Den fantastiska berättelse som står i centrum för texttolkning och närläsning är Harry Potter och De vises sten skriven av J. K. Rowling (2001).Studien visar att Rowling bland annat använder sig av den realistiska verkligheten som inspiration där en realistisk verklighet ofta förändras genom fantastiska inslag. Vid ett flertal tillfällen i romanen är samspelet så intimt att många ting och detaljer i miljöskildringar likväl skulle kunna ha skildrats i en realistisk verklighet utanför romanen..

Plant survival, plant damage and height growth were studied in nine wild cherry (Prunus avium L.) plantations in southern Sweden established between 2000 and 2002. All stands were located to the county of Småland. The survey was conducted during May and June in 2007. During the survey the height, diameter and quality of the cherry trees were recorded. In one stand, red ? berried Elder (Sambucus racemosa L.) was a dominant species.

Detta examensarbete syftar till att utreda klimatsimuleringsprogrammen IDA-ICE och WUFI, hur dessa program kan komplettera varandra och användas till simulering av kyrktorn som blivit byggda i sten. IDA-ICE har av tidigare utredningar klargjort att detta program inte redovisa fuktlagring i konstruktioner vilket WUFI gör, därav valet till dessa program. Klimatsimuleringarna utförs i Nässjö gamla kyrkas torn som är byggt av stenblock som sammanfogats med kalkbruk.Utredningen görs med hjälp av klimatloggar som mäter temperatur och relativ fuktighet. Dessa mätinstrument placeras ut i Nässjö gamla kyrkas torn för mätning. Värdena för klimatloggarna jämförs med simuleringarnas värden från IDA-ICE och WUFI.Klimatsimuleringarna visar sig inte ge samma värden av temperatur eller relativ fuktighet gentemot klimatloggarnas uppmätta värden.

Thid thesis concerns pre-Roman religion in Gaul, taking as its starting point Caesar's De bello Gallico. Caesar's account of the Gauls and their religious customs is compared with the accounts of Lucan, Pliny the elder and Ammianus Marcellinus. These are also compared to, and contrasted to, the archaeological evidence. There is some discussion of the nature of the common interpretations of this evidence. The concept of 'the Celts' is touched upon, since much of the relevant evidence has, in our time, been thought of as Celtic.

The chosen task in this thesis is to compare two projects of importance on the impact on the approach to graffiti in Norrköping and Göteborg. My main source for empirical findings was interviews. I have examined the Norrköping project Canslit including legal graffiti walls and a graffiti school and the political process around it. This was compared to the Göteborg project kulturprojekt Röda Sten, which is a cultural center that happens to be covered in illegal graffiti. The conclusion was that due to the very detailed plans and well-functioning communications between actors in the Norrköping project, this has resulted in a creative, tolerant approach to graffiti still with low rate of illegal graffiti.

AbstractIn this study eight caregivers, all with long experience from working in nursing homes for people with dementia, were interviewed.  The aim of the study was to describe the caregiver?s experiences in caring for people with dementia and Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia disorder. Data were processed by qualitative, inductive, content analysis. The results were presented in four categories: To connect, Two days are never the same, Being calm and giving time and All are needed. The result showed that caregivers met a variety of difficult and varied tasks in nursing.

AbstractThe purpose of my study is to compare Sten Rydhs wiew of learning disabilities in mathematics and his education with current literature and research. I want to explore whether the education of ?Mattesmedjan?*, influenced by the Suzuki method, can be the solution for the students with maths problems. ?Mattesmedjan? is a privately-owned school of maths.

During the last years the number of Swedish detective stories which take place in the province outside the big cities has increased enormously. In this study I have analysed the novels by the three authors Viveca Sten, Åsa Larsson and Johan Theorin to investigate the connection between the milieu and the story and in what way it is involved in the crime riddle.They all keep to the formula of the classical detective story but represent different variations within this formula. In spite of the differences in their stories the basic pattern is the same. As their protagonists the authors are emotionally connected to the place in the novels. This connection it strengthen by the authors themselves as well as the publishing companies when introducing them on the market.

Projektet Norse, som den här rapporten diskuterar, är en mod till spelet The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Temat i Norse är nordisk mytologi med inslag av vikingatid. Den här rapporten beskriver arbetets tillvägagångssätt under utvecklingen av projektet Norse. Den tar upp fördelar och nackdelar med valet att mod:a spelet The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Den tar upp de problem jag stött på under projektets gång, både med mjukvaran och skapandet av miljön, samt hur jag löst dem.Analysen av spelet kom fram till att majoriteten av speltestarna upplevde Norse natur som mysig och trevlig, samt att det var nordisk eller svensk skog spelaren rörde sig genom.

When the population is getting older, the need for complex care and nursing interventions in elderly care increases. To create a holistic view of the elder and their life situation, interprofessional team collaboration is often desirable and necessary. Teamwork is often described in positive terms, but previous research has shown that this work method is complicated and requires constant reflection and development. The purpose of this study was to investigate how elderly care teamwork is formed in the interaction between representatives of different professionals. To accomplish this purpose, we have studied how the team members define a well-functioning teamwork and difficulties, and how consensus is achieved in the team.

The aim of this study was to examine the experience, knowledge and attitude to mandatory reports of mistreatments amongst first line managers and assistance nurses in municipal elderly care. The following questions were at the center of the analysis: how do the different professional groups view having to report their own organization? How can various factors affect the mandatory reporting of mistreatments? What knowledge do the different professional groups have of mistreatments and mandatory reporting? A qualitative research method was used to examine these questions in the form of semi structured interviews and a small document study. The interviews were carried out with assistance nurses and first line manages in elder care, we interviewed four respondents from both professional groups. The interviews were then transcribed and coded with help of a content analysis.

Arbetets huvudsakliga syfte har varit att jämföra ett antal olika bergarters förmåga att binda till sig bitumen. I dag levereras stora mängder makadam till tillverkning av asfalt. Ett av de krav som ställs på materialet är just vidhäftningsförmågan vilken har stor betydelse för beläggningens funktion. Eftersom detta är en så pass viktig fråga, om en viss sten lämpar sig till asfaltstillverkning har vi valt att titta närmare på en metod som tillåter att testas på en ren sten. Detta möjliggör att man inte behöver tillverka en asfaltsmassa först.
