Vi kom framtill att de dokument som bäst påvisar varumärkets essens varkommunikationsdokumenten. 57 % av de tillfrågade förvaltningsmyndigheternavisade sig ha kommunikationsdokument,men endast 72 % av dessa dokument påvisade ett komplett varumärke. I förhållande till detta och i jämförande syfte,undersökte vi vilka förvaltningsmyndigheter som hade både kommunikationsdokument som påvisade ett komplett varumärke och en visuell profilmanual.

We have explored if the branding is consistent with the picture that Swedes generally have of themselves and Sweden, and also looked at which consequences differences in this picture may have. This Master Thesis aims to study and discuss the occurence of three concepts in some influential cultural policy documents which includes the UNESCO public library manifesto, the Swedish libraries act, the Swedish cultural policy objectives, and a study from the mid nineties which deals with the cultural policy. The questions asked are: -Do the documents mention democracy? In what way? -Do the documents mention the public sphere? In what way? -Do the documents mention information? In what way? -How can we understand the content of the documents through relevant theories about democracy, the public sphere and information? Theories about the information society are used, as well as theories from Jürgen Habermas, Herbert Schiller and Robert Dahl. The way of method is document studies and abduktion, with influences from hermeneutic theory. The analysis deals with the documents through these concepts: democracy, the public sphere and information and puts forward the content, or lack of content, about democracy in the analysed material.

SAMMANDRAGUnder min pågående lärarutbildning i samhällskunskap har området demokrati kommit att fånga mitt intresse och eftersom det är gymnasielärare jag skall bli så intresserar jag mig självklart för gymnasieelevers uppfattningar av demokrati. Detta är vad detta examensarbete kommer att beröra. Hur uppfattar våra gymnasieelever demokratibegreppet och finns det någon skillnad mellan hur tjejer och killar ser på demokrati?Robert Dahl lyfter fram några kriterier som han menar borde vara uppfyllda för att demokrati skall råda men hur väl stämmer dessa och gymnasieelevers uppfattningar av demokrati överens?Jag har gjort min undersökning i två klasser på en gymnasieskola, en med tjejer och en med killar. Metoden jag använt för min undersökning är att jag delat ut en öppen fråga till eleverna att besvara.Jag menar att merparten av eleverna finner det viktigast att få vara med att påverka/bestämma och att få vara med att rösta.

This essay concerns the issue of democracy and judicial review. The main focus is on the justification of both a positive and a negative attitude towards judicial review, and the values these justifications are based on. The analysis is made by textual analysis of four authors with different opinions of the subject matter: Robert Dahl and Jeremy Waldron who has a negative attitude towards judicial review, and Erwin Chemerinsky and Ronald Dworkin who are positive about it. In the analysis an analytic frame is used which consists of different dimensions and aspects of the problem of democracy and judicial review. The study shows that there are important differences in democratic values between a positive and a negative justification of judicial review.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva och analysera om Kosovo har de ekonomiska och sociala förutsättningrna för att skapa en grogrund för ett demokratiskt styre. To answer that, I have done a case study about how Karlstad municipal administers citizens? proposals. The research assignment is: Does Karlstad municipal have adequate institutional conditions to make the best use of the citizens? proposals? The perspective is a democracy perspective and the theory is institutional theory and policy process theory.A selection of citizens? proposals that have arrived to Karlstad municipal between 2008 and 2010 have been studied in detail to analyze how the proposals have been administered and if it matters how the proposals are phrased.

Political disenchantment and detachment is proven to be growing in well established democracies. This development brings along concerning behavior regarding general political participation. Fewer citizens participate in elections, parties are losing members, and the trust in politicians is steadily decreasing. IDEA (Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance) has been registering voter turnout worldwide for the last 60 years and their publications show a decline in voter participation since the 1980s.During the same period of time another development has caught attention, namely the fast progress of the medium Internet. The new generation of Internet functions is called Web 2.0 and allows users not only to create content, but also to interact with each other.This dissertation aims to explore the possibilities emerging when integrating Web 2.0 in political processes.
