Vårdrelaterade infektioner kan leda till sjuklighet och för tidig död och påverkar många människor, inte bara individen själv utan även dennes familj och samhället i stort. Vårdrelaterade infektioner drabbar både patienter och sjukvårdspersonal. Med goda basala hygienrutiner och medvetenhet om hur infektioner sprids kan många fall förebyggas och mycket lidande förhindras. Denna studies syfte var att beskriva basala hygienrutiner vid sårbehandling på en avdelning vid ett sjukhus i norra Tanzania. Studien hade en kvalitativ och en kvantitativ ansats där det kvalitativa datamaterialet har bearbetats med innehållsanalys och det kvantitativa datamaterialet har redovisats med deskriptiv statistik.

Allt fler verksamheter väljer att investera i IT lösningar, med avsikt att skapa konkurrensfördelar gentemot organisationer i samma bransch. ERP system är en av dessa IT lösningar, och det har framkommit att dessa system inte alltid fungerar på ett tillfredsställande sätt. Därför är dessa system att betrakta som mindre dugliga ur ett användbarhetsperspektiv. Avsikten är att utveckla vår modell (TTF/A) som studerar hur en matchning mellan systemkaraktäristiska drag och karaktäristiska drag hos arbetsuppgifter påverkar systemets användbarhet. Modellen betraktar även hur erfarenhet av teknologianvändning och erfarenhet av att utföra arbetsuppgiften påverkar matchningen.

Background: The stress in the society seems to having become more amplified and more trying. Statistics show that the appearance of stress related industrial diseases have increased strikingly. What can be stressing at the workplace? The work conditions are not the only thing that causes stress but no matter what the causes are employers have to restore the employees to their former positions. How are companies dealing with the problems of stress in reality? Do they have formulated strategies for how to manage the problems? Purpose: The purpose with this essay is to try to see pattern in how companies manage and treat stress and stress related industrial diseases.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka förekomsten av eventuella användbarhetsproblem och brister på webbplatser som tillhandahåller tjänster för digital uthyrning av film. I de fall existensen är ett faktum, har vi haft för avsikt att undersöka vilka dessa användbarhets-problem är och om det är möjligt att bygga bort dem genom att applicera befintlig kunskap inom användbarhet och webbdesign. För att kunna uppnå detta syfte har vi genomfört kvalitativa experiment på tre av de dåvarande största webbplatserna som erbjöd denna tjänst. Experimentens resultat analyserades både kvalitativt och kvantitativt för att uppnå en högre trovärdighet. Vår studie visade att det inte bara råder en uppsjö användbarhetsproblem på dessa webbplatser, utan att många av dem är så pass allvarliga att de omöjliggör användning av webbplatsernas tjänster.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att utreda vilka faktorer som påverkar själva användningen vid införande av ny teknik i mobiltelefoner. Vi ville undersöka hur 3G tekniken används samt vilka komplikationer som tänkas finnas med brukandet av tekniken. Vi har valt att endast titta på funktionaliteten i själva mobiltelefonen ur ett användarperspektiv samt hur användaren uppfattar och tar till sig tekniken. Vi har använt oss av ett mindre antal semistrukturerade intervjuer i vår studie. Teorin som används i uppsatsen behandlaranvändaracceptans och användbarhetsaspekter.

Syftet med denna studie är att ge en bild av vad som motiverar till användandet av nätdejtingtjänster och om denna motivation skiljer sig mellan kön, ålder eller de som betalar eller inte betalar för sin nätdejting. Vi ville även se om denna tjänst gav användaren något mervärde gentemot den traditionella kontaktannonsen. För att uppnå detta syfte har vi, genom en kvantitativ metod, samlat på oss information, given nätdejtare, med hjälp av en webbundersökning. Denna undersökning baserades på tidigare forskning kring motivation till Internetanvändning. De svar vi fick analyserades och jämfördes sedan mot teorier kring Internetanvändning.

This thesis compares political participation by the public through the Swedish Parliamentary Ombudsman (PO) and the German Petitions Committee of the Bundestag (PC). Through studies of literature and Statistics I examine how citizens can participate through the institutions, how frequently they do and the likelihood of sparking a debate while participating.Using media theories as well as theories of participatory and representative democracy I study how citizens can use these institutions for purposes of control and proposition.Both institutions deal with complaints but the PC also deals with propositions for legislation, making the institution more versatile. The PO deals with more cases than the PC and has more far-reaching competences and areas of inspection, although neither institution has binding decisions. Thus the direct advantage for citizens using the institutions is the chance of reaching out to media and the public through freedom of information laws and the German online petition forum.The PC to a larger extent fits the representative model while the PO in some respects is more a legal than a political institution, being managed by lawyers instead of MPs. Neither institution meets the ideals of participatory politics although the German official petition is closer to it..

Förr i tiden producerades musik med analog hårdvara och datorer användes inte i någon vidare utsträckning. På 80-talet introducerades datorer och nu produceras nästan all musikmed hjälp av datorer. Denna uppsats belyser om, och i så fall hur, införandet av datorer i musikproduktion har påverkat musikproducenter i deras arbete i vardagen. Vi har intervjuat ett antal musikproducenter för att se hur deras användande av datorer i sina arbetsuppgifter har förändrat, förbättrat och försämrat deras arbete. Undersökningenhar genomförts med avstamp i ett sonderingssamtal med en musikproducent på en musikstudio i Malmö för att sedan mynna ut i semistrukturerade intervjuer med fem musikproducenter.

The aim of this bachelor thesis has been to examine and develop our own understanding about how young people in Sweden (16-29 years of age), take part in cultural activities. As librarians it is important to know what kind of activities and interests this particular group has. With Pierre Bourdieu?s theoretical framework towards habitus and capital we are interested to see if there is a connection between one?s cultural use and background, if different access to capital with or within groups has an affect or not. With both Statistics and interviews with people within our target, we believe this data has been sufficient enough to conduct a good and valid study.

Voltage sag indices are a way of quantifying the performance of the power supply, as far as voltage sags are concerned. Indices can be defined for individual events, for individual sites, and for a whole system. A standard method for single-event methods is part of IEC standard 61000-4-30.This thesis emphasizes the importance of voltage sag indices and different methods for calculating three-phase voltage sag characteristics. Three-phase events measured in a medium network voltage over period of one month were analyzed, results examined and statistically evaluated. An algorithm for calculating voltage sag characteristics and indices was created in Matlab.

Practical and theoretical learning are methods that are used in schools as a way to prepare students for the working life. Within the practical learning knowledge is not only acquired to learn in practice, but the students must also be able to apply their theoretical knowledge to what he/she does. Against this background, the aim of the study was to investigate the importance of practical learning for students in college / university level and how they are experiencing the stress that may arise out of the loss of practical learning during their education, as well as their vision for working life after completing their education. The population of the study consisted of N = 36, which 18 of these had used both practical and theoretical learning and the remainder had only used theoretical learning. The method was a questionnaire survey with a high proportion of fixed alternative answers according to likert scales.

Superficial digital flexor tendon injuries are common causes of premature retirement or pre-longed convalescence periods for race horses. The curve gradient at Täby Galopp race track is very small and most races as well as high speed training are done on the left rein. It is believed that the horses left foreleg is under considerably more strain then the right foreleg when being ridden on the left rein during gallop at high speed. During gallop on the left rein the horse puts its entire weight on the left foreleg when regaining ground contact. The purpose of this study has been to find out, through analyzing the Statistics concerning the horses that visited the ATG clinic at Täby during a period between January 2003 and September 2006, whether there is a higher frequency of superficial digital flexor tendon injuries on the left leg rather than the right and if so, can this support the theory that the design of the race track in combination with continuous left rein races can be a contributing cause of these injuries. The result of the study shows that 57% of the tendon injuries occurred on the left front leg and 38% on the right front leg. The difference is not large enough to support the above theory of the underlying cause of these injuries..

There is a strong debate in the media about the CEO compensation in the listed companies and whether they deserve their high rewards. Many previous studies have shown differences in the reward system depending on the ownership structure, mostly testing for only ownership concentration or ownership category. This study aims to investigate how the influence of the owners affects the CEO reward system, testing for both the level and the structure of the reward. The sample used in the investigation is Swedish listed corporations and consists of 251 observations. A survey was also conducted but due to low response rate and because the answers are not representative for the whole sample the survey will only be used as an illustration.
