This two years master's thesis in Library and Information science, examines how the implementation of new technical equipment can affect how staff in public libraries organize their work and activities in the library. One Swedish public library in specific is the subject of research in this thesis, which has been anonymized as Kvarntuna city library. The study takes place in the beginning of the implementation of RFID-technology in the library. RFID, which stands for Radio Frequency Identification, is supposed to make the handling with different types of media in the library more efficient and in connection with the implementation one wants to reorganize work and activities in the library to make it even more efficient and also create a modern library.The thesis' method is qualitative interviews with six members of the staff. The theoretical framework of the thesis is a sociocultural perspective, especially inspiered by Roger Säljö, a Swedish professor in pedagogical psychology.

Kostnader för lagring av spannmål till djurfoder är en viktig parameter för lantbrukare som lagrar sin hemmaproducerade foderspannmål. Därför är det viktigt att hitta ett smidigt system med god säkerhet gällande hygienisk kvalitet och lagringsduglighet. I Sverige har vi ofta förhållande med spannmål som håller vattenhalter över 17% efter skörd, vilket i många fall leder till att spannmålen måste torkas. Torkningen är en dyr men säker metod. Med hjälp av Grain Bagger Mainero 2230 kan man lägga in spannmål snabbt och effektivt i en syretät slang.

Läsning och skrivning är förmågor som återkommer i skolans alla ämnen, inte bara i ämnet svenska. Därför är det mycket viktigt att alla elever får en god start på sin läs- och skrivutveckling. För att kunna anpassa undervisningen till alla elevers individuella behov krävs fler än en utvecklingsmetod. Det innebär att en pedagog som enbart bedriver läs- och skrivutveckling efter en metod riskerar att inte nå fram till alla elever. Följden av det kan bli att dessa elever får en anpassad undervisning hos specialläraren eller specialpedagogen på skolan.

AbstractMy study is based on that I think there is a problem at the Handicraft program for hairdressers where I currently work as a hairdresser teacher. I believe that there are clear objectives and a wide range of courses focusing in craft knowledge, but the social competence goals are unclear and there are no courses on the subject. Since I have 13 years hairdressing experience and know roughly what it requires, I wonder where and how the teaching of social skills is performed at the Handicraft program for hairdressersThe purpose of this study is therefore to find out how some of my colleagues perceive the teaching of social skills. The issues I have focused on are what these teachers believe that social skills are, how they perceive their teaching of it and when they believe that teaching really should be. There is not much literature on this subject because it is a relatively unexplored area. I have therefore concentrated on literature dealing with social skills in general, and theses and essays dealing with the quality of hairdressing education. I have chosen to make a qualitative interview study. The objectives related to social skills can be incorporated in the teaching of many subjects; I chose to interview two core-subject teachers and four vocational teachers. The interviews have been based on respondents' own interpretations of social skills. They have been individual interviews of about 30 minutes. My results show that most teachers believe that social competence is about a good meeting between people and to coping with different situations in a good way.

Production development with focus on continual improvements constitutes an important part of the daily work within a lot of organizations today.The purpose of this study is to contribute to a part of the development process that Volvo Penta factory in Vara has in mind. A description of the current situation was compiled by mapping the internal runnings and material flow throughout the factory. A new suggestion for a layout and a comparison with the current situation will assist with creating a factual basis for the development of a new goods reception.A study was made where the volumes and the quantity of the daily arrival goods were settled.

Det är av stor vikt att utomhusmiljön planeras och utformas på ett sätt som möjliggör för en självständig orientering och förflyttning för personer med blindhet. Ett sätt att öka personer med blindhets möjligheter till en mer självständig vardag är att utforma så kallade taktila ledstråk. Taktila ledstråk definieras som en sammanhängande kedja av ledande element från start till mål. De ledande elementen kan bestå av antingen naturliga eller artificiella ledytor. Enligt tidigare forskning beskrivs de naturliga ledytorna som mest användbara vid orientering och förflyttning för personer med blindhet, och bör därför först tillvaratas enligt svensk lagstiftning.

Syftet med detta arbete har främst varit att lära oss mer om bedömning. Vi har uppmärksammat bedömningens avgörande roll för elevers kunskapsinlärning och intervjuat några lärare om vad de har för uppfattning om bedömning. Fokus har lagts på resonemanget kring relationen mellan de-ras syn på bedömning och olika måltyper. I resultatet redogör vi för de olika lärarnas resonemang kring målen, bedömningssätt och bedöm-ningssituationer. Vi har även uppmärksammat att vissa lärare har en intuitiv kunskap om vad ele-verna kan och detta problematiserar vi i diskussionen, men har även redogjort för, de av oss in-tervjuade lärarnas resonemang kring detta.

Examensarbetet är det avslutande momentet på civilingenjörsutbildningen Ergonomisk Design och Produktion, med inriktning industriell design. Projektet genomförs vid Nord West Yachts AB, Orust, som bygger exklusiva motorbåtar från 33 till 56 fot. Utgångspunkten för projektet är att skapa förbättringar kring förarmiljön i den senaste båtmodellen Nord West 420, både i coupén och på flybridge. Företagets önskan med projektet är att vidareutveckla instrumentpanelen samt förarplatsen, vilket ska leda till en attraktivare och säkrare båt genom ett estetiskt och ergonomiskt tänkande. Under projektets gång används metoden systematisk problemlösning.

AbstractAim of the study: Aim of the study was to investigate whether there were any connections in time between different parts of care in patients with cardiac arrest and hypothermia treatment and cognitive and physical function six months after cardiac arrest and to investigate neurological outcome related to primary registered cardiac arrest rhythm after six months and if there were any changes in cognitive and physical functions as well as self-related health between discharge from hospital and six months after cardiac arrest.Method: The study included 39 patients admitted to three Swedish hospitals between 2008-2011. Cognitive and physical function was evaluated with Cerebral Performance Cathegory, CPC completed with Mini Mental State Examination, MMSE for cognitive function and Bartels Index, BI for physical function and Euroqol-VAS for evaluating the self-related health.Result:  A significant connection was shown between time to start hypothermia treatment and BI, patients with longer time showed improved physical function after six months.Majority of the participants (66,7 %) had Ventricular fibrillation/Ventricular tachycardia, VF /VT, as primary registered cardiac arrest rhythm and in this group CPC and BI was significant better compared with the asystole /Pulsless Electrical Aktivity, PEA group.CPC, MMSE, BI and Euroqol-VAS were all improved over time.Conclusion: Participants with VF /VT as primary registered cardias arrest rhythm had significant better cognitive and physical function 6 months after hypothermia-treated cardiac arrest compared with participants with asystole/PEA as primary registered rhythm. This shows the importance of access to defibrillators in public places in the society and in hospitals and optimal education of lay people and medical staff. Cognitive and physical function and self-rated health improves over time, which might be a very important reason to convey patients, relatives and medical staff to continue cognitive and physical rehabilitation. Keywords: Cardiac arrest, hypothermia, cognitive and physical function, wellbeeing.

Today dairy farmers in Sweden are obligated to have lights turned on during night time in addition to the mandatory daylight inlet. This presents a cost for the production but many argue that it can be economically beneficial, especially in loose housing of dairy cows. In loose housing and even more so in herds with automatic milking, well functioning cow traffic during all hours of the day is crucial to optimise production. In order to keep the cow traffic flowing, lights may be an important management tool. It is also perceived among farmers with tied up stall that night light decreases the incidents of cows accidental stepping on their own or neighbours udders.

Brownout-fenomenet ligger till grund för ungefär 75 procent av alla flygolyckor inom NATO. Olyckorna sker under start och landningssekvenser i torra klimat då sand virvlar upp och försämrar pilotens sikt utifrån helikoptern. Under brownout förlorar piloten visuella referenser utanför helikoptern vilket gör att denne omedvetet kan tappa kontrollen över helikoptern och således kan hamna i plötsligt drift. Därför har NATO i samarbete med bland annat Totalförsvarets Forskningsinstitut (FOI) försökt finna en lösning på problemen som uppstår vid brownout. Syftet med föreliggande studie är främst att undersöka om deltagares användning av taktila driftdisplayer leder till mindre drift än vid användning av en visuell driftdisplay samt undersöka med vilken av de taktila displayerna som leder till minst drift.
