Med den här kandidatuppsatsen har jag skapat en interaktionsdesign för en handkirurgisk mottagning på Sophiahemmet, som är ett privatsjukhus. Min interaktionsdesign består av ett enkätverktyg som ska finnas på en hemsida som ännu inte är utvecklad, för att mäta klinisk vårdkvalitet och allmänt bemötande av patienter på mottagningen. Förhoppningen är att min design kommer förenkla handkirurgens insamling av patienternas uppfattning av kvaliteten på mottagningen. Som privat kirurg är det viktigt att få reda på kvaliteten i operationerna, både för kirurgens egen utveckling och i marknadsföringssyfte. Resultaten från kvalitetsundersökningen ska därför också presenteras på ett tillfredsställande sätt.

This thesis is based on design theory about how to build an application for the mobile platform, a scientific analysis and an application for grocery shopping and meal planning. The thesis also contains a valuation of the research and of the application. The valuation of the application was done by a usability test and an analysis of the results of the test.The application of the thesis has an easy navigation system, which is time saving and simple to use. Finding recipes with the associated ingredients is a quick fix. The search function can be used for searching freely after recipes as well as for separate ingredients. That makes it possible for the user to create own recipes from available ingredients.

Shock absorber units play a key role in establishing the driving dynamics and performance of automobiles. Öhlins Racing has manufactured high-tech automotive shock absorbers for over 30 years. Öhlins Racing?s advanced technology has contributed to over 200 world championships in automobile racing. Öhlin?s manufacturing process has long utilized automated fluid filling equipment during the final shock absorber unit assembly stage. The filling process consists of vacuum pumping the shock absorber unit and subsequent transfer of fluid. Vacuum pumping is necessary to remove residual air from the shock absorber unit prior to initiating the liquid filling stage. The presence of undesirable gases drastically compromises the performance of a shock absorber. The filling degree, defined as the final ratio of air to oil, is determined by the specific filling protocol as well as the specific equipment utilized.The current investigation aims to develop a viable technique to accurately determine residual air content in shock absorber units. If the filling degree can be appropriately quantified for a specific manufacturing process, then the air/oil ratio may be quantitatively related to shock absorber performance. The utilized measurement method must be completely integrated into the manufacturing process to guarantee shock absorber performance specifications according to the manufacturer?s standards. By utilizing the measurement method developed in this work, the manufacturing process, manufacturing equipment and product specifications can all be tailored to provide improved filling conditions.The developed measurement method provides accurate quantification of the filling degree under a wide range of processing conditions. The method establishes the relative quantity of air in the shock absorber unit by performing in-situ compressibility tests. The fill ratio can be controlled and varied by manipulating the vacuum pressure exerted during the filling process. Performance tests, however, indicate no correlation between filling degree and unit performance..

In the production of pulp, paper and cardboard, a large amount of water is used daily. The water has to be purified in the internal purifying plant before it reaches the receiving body of water. In the biological purifying stage at the Stora Enso Skoghall mill, an aerated basin is used where the microorganisms, using oxygen, oxidize the organic material to carbon dioxide. The air is pumped from the bottom of the basin and the oxygen can then be transported from the air bubbles to the water through diffusion. The problem with aeration of waste water from the forest industry is that wood residues, such as fatty acids, are making the transport of oxygen in water more difficult.

Utifra?n min egen ide? om vad som utma?rker en ekologiskt ha?llbar mo?bel har jag lyssnat in mig pa? producentens o?nskema?l och da?refter fo?rdjupat mig i kravspecifikationen genom att underso?ka olika materialalternativ, funktion och form.

Idre Fjäll currently has not full control of how visitors experience their site or if it has good usability. I have helped the company to do a usability test on their website to see how and where any improvements can be made on the page before the winter season 2010. I have also done a survey to investigate how users perceive Idre Fjälls website. Ten people of various ages participated in the survey. All test subjects was recorded with both audio and screen activity during the tests.

This degree project was made in cooperation with AssiDomän Frövi and Charlotte Andersson and the main objectivehas been to create to ice cream pacbges from 250 gsm Frövi Light board. The paekages are intended to be easilyresealable while decreasing in size together with the ice cream. The project also describes the food packaging labelsand symbols currently present in the European common market.Both capsules utilize a separate lid for resealing. One of the paekages (Capsuie A) is indended to be cut along withthe ice cream and thereby decrease in size. The other one (Capsuie B) uses a series of flaps for contracting and expandingwhich enab1es adjusting of the size without cutting the package up.The design for Capsuie A is created both as a series of flavours with a super-hero theme intended for children andwith a colfee flavour for a maturer audience.

Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) is a further development of the Six Sigma draft to carry through preventing quality measures in developing and designing of new products and processes. With increasing demands on enterprises development processes to be more safety and faster the need of DFSS arise as a product, process and service development concept in the organisations. Design for Six Sigma aims to improve and structure the development process of an organisation and consider the application of the innovation problem solving. The concept aims to leave the structure of the traditional Six Sigma concept and instead, from an innovative perspective, search for new solutions to existing problems. The concept constitute of a toolbox with a lot of quality tools that are divided into phases in a development model.

Uppsatsens innehåll undersöker och diskuterar frågeställningen: ?Hur kan man gå till väga för att tillämpa principerna från Universal Design i front end-utvecklingen??. Universal Design är en uppsättning av principer man ska följa i tillverkningen av en fysisk miljö för att uppnå ett användarvänligt resultat. Med hjälp av dessa principer tillsammans med WAI?s riktlinjer har jag gestaltat ett front end-ramverk för att få svar på min frågeställning..

Mitt examensarbete fra?n Designprogrammet ? ha?llbar utveckling, a?r en under- so?kning av flera dimensioner. Det o?vergripande arbetet a?r ett platsspecifikt insamlande av framtida visioner hos inva?nare, kommun och kreato?r. Visualiseringen involverar samtliga av de ovan na?mnda parterna i skapandet av en ny mo?tes- plats i ett medialt kategoriserat miljonprogramsomra?de.

Vad finns det för grundstenar inom den amerikanska odlingsterapin och hur används dessa i det odlingsterapeutiska programmet på North Carolinas Botaniska Trädgård? Jag ville få reda på svaren och bestämde mig för att åka över Atlanten och göra en fallstudie om NC Botaniska Terapiträdgård. Väl framme upptäckte jag genom litteraturen och människorna insatta i ämnet att det fanns ytterligare en designmetod som heter Universal Design inom den amerikanska odlingsterapin som jag inte kände till sedan tidigare. Resultatet av litteraturen och mitt platsbesök visar att det finns ett antal grundstenar inom den amerikanska odlingsterapin och Universal Design som används på det odlingsterapeutiska programmet på NC Botaniska Trädgårdar. Grundstenarna är följande: Tillgänglighet, Tydlighet, Variation och Utveckling och dessa påverkar designen av NC Botaniska Trädgårdens nya terapiträdgård. Denna resa har givit mig en inblick i vad den amerikanska odlingsterapin innebär och hur designen av NC Botaniska Trädgårds nya terapiträdgård kan se ut..

Vårt samhälle är uppbyggt av normer som säger hur vi bör se ut, bete oss och leva. Många av dessa normer fokuserar på hur en person som man eller kvinna bör vara i förhållande till sitt kön. Könsnormer återspeglas i design och det vi formger, i produkter, möbler och byggnader. Genom ett genusspecificerat normkritiskt förhållningssätt undersöker vi hur könsnormer uppkommer i design och hur vi som formgivare kan designa normkritiskt. Med mönsterdesign som undersökande metod vill vi belysa och undersöka hur könsnormer upprepas i det vi formger, precis som ett mönster definieras av linjer och former som upprepas eller upplevs att göra det.Under vår undersökning framkommer det att mönster kan bidra till diskussion och ställningstagande som fungerar i flera forum.

Syftet med min forskning var att undersöka den rådande informationsproblematiken som Sepab Fordonsprodukter hade med sina informationsmaterial och den underliggande orsaken till detta. Utifrån min empiri och mina resultat av intervjuerna har jag sedan utvecklat ett nytt förslag på informationsmaterial. Jag har under hela arbetets gång fokuserat på målgruppsanpassning tillsammans med ämnet informationsdesign, vilket enligt mig går hand i hand.Jag har arbetat utifrån kvalitativa metoder med hermeneutiken som inspirationskälla och informationsdesignsmässiga principer för att åstadkomma detta. Mina resultat visade att det fanns ett flertal faktorer i det utgivna informationsmaterialet som var i behov av förbättring. Den slutgiltiga produkten blev ett nytt informationsmaterial till Sepabs nya produkt där jag har tillämpat dessa teorier..
