I analyze articles published in Dagens Nyheter, Swedens biggest morningpaper and Aftonbladet, biggest eveningpaper. The method is based on a quantitative content analysis, and critical discourse analysis in which I use van Dijk's analytical approach. Issues :1. What constructed the World Cup in 2002 and 2003  players and teams, from a gender theoretical perspective in the mediatexts?2.

ABSTRACT Author: Johan PetterssonTitle: Customer Loyalty in the Swedish men's elite football - a study with IF ElfsborgPurpose Increase understanding of how to increase customer loyalty when it comes to Swedish elite football. Method A qualitative study using semi-structured interviews for deeper access to the what the people I interviewed feel about the subject. The interviews are conducted with IF Elfsborgs club president Stefan Andreasson, Goran Lohne who works with media and events, and Eric Sjölin who are supportercontact. In addition to those I alsointerviewed the supporters club Guliganernas President Anders Hultin. Analysis and conclusion The first impression and attitude is very important when a person goes from a one-timebuyers into loyal customers. This is both the theories and the interviewees opinion. Through staff training and records of how the club would like the first impression and attitude to be the clubs can reach a good level of first impression. Suggestions for further researchTo carry out similar studies on additional clubs, other divisions and women's football and examine how a first impression and response should be.Keywords Consumer behavior, customer loyalty, sports, football and first impressions.

Hållbar utveckling i kommunalt beslutsfattande : En studie om integrering och prioritering ur fritidspolitiskt perspektiv

The concept of sustainable development is a challenge that demands cooperation from all levels of society for it to be successful. The focus for this thesis is how politicians within the local councils understand the concept of sustainable development and how they implement it in political decision-making.The basis for the study is a questionnaire that was distributed to 303 local politicians in three municipalities of varying size in Southern Sweden. The study concentrates on departments within the local councils that are directly connected to the Swedish environmental law and the Swedish planning and construction law. One of the primary goals with the aforementioned laws is the achievement of sustainable development within one generation.The outcome of the study was that over half of the local politicians could correctly define sustainable development according to the World Commission on Environment and Development?s (WCED) definition.

The aim of this thesis is to study a number of standards and theories, from the two research areas human-computer interaction and psychology, about how a graphical user interface (GUI) should be composed in order to facilitate interaction between humans and computers. Special emphasis is put on how the GUI should take into consideration the strengths and limitations of human cognition and perception. A study of three web catalogues shows how these theories appear when concretised. The following questions are answered in this thesis:What guidelines and styleguides can be found that specify the design of a user-friendly GUI?How do a few library catalogues on the web match a selection of these design principles?The guidelines are extracted from literature concerning human-computer interaction, psychology, automated library systems and web design.

Varför jag väljer att sluta eller fortsätta med föreningsidrott

Med anledning av forskning som visat att dålig fysisk form i barn- och ungdomen är förknippat med sämre hälsa i vuxen ålder, var denna studies syfte att kartlägga Skellefteå ungdomars relation till föreningsidrott. En enkät delades ut till slupmässigt valda skolor och bestod av frågor rörande när och isåfall varför de väljer att sluta med föreningsidrott, samt vad det är som gör att de som fortsätter med föreningsidrott? Data från 196 deltagare analyserades statistiskt. Resultaten visade att ungefär 55 procent av deltagarna slutat med idrott och medeåldern för avhopp var 14 år. De tre vanligaste anledningarna till avhopp var ?Jag tappade motivation?, ?Annan aktivitet/intresse tog min tid? och ?Tråkiga träningar?.

Cross-suckling when sows are group housed during lactation : associations with sow productivity and behaviour

Cross-suckling, i.e. when an offspring nurses a female other than their own mother, occurs in pig production systems where sows are group housed during lactation. As production systems where several sows and their litters are housed together during lactation are getting more common, the need of knowledge regarding cross-suckling increases. The overall aims with this thesis was to investigate how sow behaviour and productivity are associated with the occurrence of cross-suckling, and to investigate consistency in sow nursing behaviour related to cross-suckling. The study included information about the first 4 parities of 40 LxY sows kept in outdoor and indoor production environments. Sows were single housed the first 2 weeks after farrowing and group housed (4 or 5 sows per group) from 2 weeks after farrowing until weaning, 7 weeks after farrowing.

The quantitative study consists of a poll. To complement the study a focus group interview and a company interview have been held.  Conclusion:                        The study showed that the brand has significance for the consumer to a certain extent. The brand can though have an unconscious effect on the consumers since most of the purchases are made by habit.

Coachutbildning i Elitklubbar

Syfte: Studiens fokus var att undersöka hur det ser ut i Sveriges elitklubbar i ishockey, fotboll och handboll när det kommer till den interna coachutbildningen i klubben. En genomgång av respektive idrottsförbunds egna utbildningar ingick också i studien.Metod: Två frågeformulär skickades ut där klubbarna (där oftast sportchefen svarade) fick svara på frågor angående intern coachutbildning och utbildning via idrottsförbunden. Det första formuläret var generellt inte utformat för någon specifik klubb medan det andra formuläret som sändes ut var baserat på klubbens svar från formulär ett.Resultat: Fyra av åtta elitklubbar har en utvecklad coachutbildningsplan och sju av åtta anser att utbildningarna som ges via respektive sports förbund har en hög kvalitet. En klubb av åtta menar på att deras coacher inte är så pass bra utbildade som de önskar de vore.Slutsats: Mer fokus bör läggas på utbildning av coacherna för att höja kvaliteten på dessa på områden såsom beteendevetenskap, psykologi och coaching. Fler klubbar bör internt arbeta mer aktivt för att utbilda sina coacher och kvaliteterna dessa ska ha.

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to study if teenage fiction, published in Swedish during the course of one year, matches what boys in eight grade claim they want to read about. The background for our work is a survey initiated by Lärarnas Riksförbund, Läsa för att lära, in 2005. The conclusion drawn in Läsa för att lära is that many children, especially boys, lose their interest in reading when they become teenagers. Information on fictional books for teenagers has been collected from Bibliotekstjänst.

Elevers förhållningssätt till Idrott och hälsa i årskurs 4 - En komparativ studie om påverkande faktorer

I vårt samhälle skiljer sig uppväxtvillkoren för barn och ungdomar mycket åt. Socioekonomiska förutsättningar påverkar barns liv och deras idrottsvanor. Syftet med vår studie är att belysa på vilket sätt elever från två olika klasser och områden med olika social status, har för förhållningssätt till idrotten på fritiden kopplat till skolämnet Idrott och hälsa. Undersökningen genomfördes som två olika fallstudier. Vi valde att undersöka en skola i varje område.

Cloud computing is a new buzzword within the IT-industry, and introduces a whole new way of working with IT. The technique delivers web based services, which results in that the user no longer needs to install an application locally on a computer. Since the application no longer needs to run on a local entity, but in a datacenter located on a service provider, the users no longer need any specific hardware more than a computer with an internet connection. Cloud computing also offers IT-infrastructure and development environments as services, these three service types is better known as cloud services. Through the usage of different types of cloud services, the need for maintenance and hardware is significantly reduced.

Mixed martial arts och boxning i Sverige

In 1970 professional boxing became illegal in Sweden and in 2009 the prohibition was removed.Just before both of these changes in the law there were debates in media where people argued forand against ilegalization. In the later debate the focus has shifted from professional boxing toinclude Mixed Martial Arts(MMA) as well. MMA was governed and bound by the same law asprofessional boxing.This purpose of this paper is to compare the debate in 1968-1969 with the debate in 2006. The twodebates resulted in two different outcomes, ilegalization of professional boxing in 1970 and thenlegalization of it 2009. Are there any reason for these differences? What is the reasoning behindthis? By using hegemonic masculinity as a guidance when examining the debates this paper istrying to understand how the discourse have changed over time.

The material is analyzed using descriptive tools, cross tables and correlation matrices in which general characteristics as well as individual understandings of the network communication are presented and discussed.Main results: The general results indicate that the network communication serves important purposes, such as providing support and motivation for the members and changing attitudes towards equal opportunities. The analysis suggests that the network members have good communicative possibilities to serve as agents of change within their organisations. Moreover, there is an observed relation between, on the one hand, organizational context and, on the other hand, the network members? own communicational behaviour and their experienced possibility to influence their organizations.Keywords: network communication, diffusion of innovations, behaviour change, Equal Opportunities Act.
